I want to have a better quality of life, I want to stop over eating, I want to get rid of this beer gut (although I don't drink alchohol) but I still have a fat boy tummy.

Follow the 5Cs.
Calorie counting: If you're too big, eat fewer calories. If you're too small, eat more calories.. If you feel like shit, eat a better source of calories.
Since you're a fat as fat ass I suggest you go on a hard as fuck diet for the next month to kick start your weight loss and fitness journey. Read the Rapid fatloss handbook and follow it for 2weeks to a month.

Calisthenics: These are just basic bodyweight workouts that you can use to build a rock solid base of strength, endurance, joint integrity and health. And since you're a fat ass you can build a decent amount of muscle with just the basics.

Cardio: This can be anything from walking to jogging to swimming to hiit to tabata circuits to playing a sport. You just have to get up off of your ass and do something. Try for something that won't leave you half dead and won't actually kill you.

Curl bro routine: Curl bro routine is basically doing all of those lifts for your upper body and doing a single session of squats and deads once a week. It's basic it's simple it's fun it works.

Chill: You should rest and recoup as hard as you workout. Stress and lack of good quality rest makes every thing in your life objectively worse. It even shortens your life and makes you more susceptible to a whole host of disease and sicknesses.

A curlbro routine doesn't give you a structured way on how to increase intensity or volume and how to periodize your training for full recovery which are all detrimental to your progress as soon as you reach a late intermediate level. Of course you could just take steroids and fuck around and get bigger than any natty, but that wasn't mentioned in your post.
