Well, all I really did was download an app called loseit and track all the food that I ate throughout the day limiting my caloric intake to anywhere from 1600-1800 calories a day. I also cut out all the junk food out of my life then replaced it with healthy food. As far as exercise goes I did basic calisthenic work (pushups, situps, pullups, etc.) and cardio three times a week. Only recently have I gained access to a gym so I put myself on a SL 5x5 routine to build up some basic strength over the next few months.

It is a great trap builder indeed, but the angle by which you start gives you a great stretch in the upper area of the last, mid traps, and high traps as well.
It builds the muscles in that area (ramboids and so on) along with the traps.
As far as the weighted stretching, try cheat shrugs for even greater mass on da traps.

I do them, but I never felt anything besides my lower back and traps.

I do them slightly below my knee and I cut out the power shrugs due to knee issues. Now I just do static holds for 30 seconds to a minute with the same weight I was power shrugging.

bench is shit for chest man. incline bench, incline flys, incline db chest press and even dips will give you much better results than that shitty flat bench.
