Except literally anything and everything you could ever mention as to America's domestic and foreign policies throughout the Cold War can't come close to what the Soviets did. America did some horrendous things, but for every instance there's a far worse crime committed by the Communists. All the deaths from the events you listed can't hold a candle to things like the Great Purge or the Great Leap Forward. People naturally went to some pretty extreme lengths to stop the world from being effectively enslaved to global communism.

Learn Russian, talk to Russians about it, read the countless personal accounts of suffering which didn't end with the death of Stalin (for ex. I'm not even pro-capitalist or pro-western and I think the transition to capitalism in the 90s fucked Russia up even worse than communism in some regards, however, it was the wrong path of development for the country and resulted in the unnecessary deaths of millions only to yield a rusted and decayed state that only took a little push to completely fall apart at the seams. The economic planning and ethnic separatism meant the USSR was a ticking time bomb, not to mention the inevitable failure of the communist project in general. History is complex and neither side was really the lesser evil they were two powers who both used dirty tricks in their fight for ideological supremacy. I also don't condone the actions of NATO following the Cold War in expanding eastward and making Russia feel threatened so don't think I'm pro-America or pro-NATO (in America you can find many of the same grisly scenes as Taк жить нeльзя.

The Soviets were stagnating after the mid 70's and they of course had their split. Maoist era was the first and last true communist hurrah in China and that's just as well because it absolutely fucked China both economically and culturally(in the culrev they just went around destroying ancient artifacts and such,SAD!).
