What did he do that was so important? He was a preacher that talked with numerous presidents over the years, but what exactly did he do?

Aside from giving spiritual counsel to every president since WWII, he's pretty much the reason evangelical Protestantism is so intertwined with American politics. Every election cycle, evangelicals are touted as one of the most powerful voting blocs in the country, especially to the GOP.

Why is this considered a good thing? It violates one of the founding principles of the country.

He wasn't very involved in electoral politics. His son is though.

He bailed MLK out of jail once or twice and hosted him on his show in the 1950s.

>religious people voting for candidates and policies that are in accord with their morals violates the principles of this country.
how can someone be this retarded?
who is at fault for this level of idiocy?

He's probably the most successful preacher in history, having preached to hundreds of millions of people in person across the world.

He was the kind face of American evangelism because he preached with modesty and without the political reactionism or judgemental hypocrisy that modern evangelism is sort of infamous for. This made him absurdly influential in American culture. If there ever was an evangelical pope, Graham was it.

>a 99 year old man dying isnt a random event
