Hi I am a normie in terms of Veeky Forums I am a complete newfag when it comes to stocks cryptocurrencies etc also a computer illiterate. I only spent my time on /x/ and /pol/ My family is pretty much broke so I need to make money in any sort of way so I chose to learn how to do this thing.
I know absolutely nothing but I am deciding to buy some Monero I think bitcoin is dangerous.
Also I am gen Z so I will be illiterate to your jargons so please go easy on me.
So my questions are
1) I need some concise rundown of how these things work. I think its like i buy some digital currency and I just sit and wait till the price hikes. Is that correct? Now if thats true what are the exchanges and sending and all that? I don't understand what that is. Also I know zero mechanics of the market as well as manual computer clickings how to sell or buy or take out money I made
2) what is mining? I don't quite get that concept
3) Some website says i could end up in jail why?? I think it had something to do with privacy.
4) So do i buy stocks? or just buy coins and sit and wait to rise in its price? What do I do after I buy some Monero
5) Where do I buy Monero? I donwloaded from Monero website and I get these weird black notes when I open them. Those weird programming shits I am confused Do I need to know how to program to use the application? Why is it all confusing I thought stock exchanges have some sort of websites like etoro and you just click buy and sell buttons
Careful now. Once you go down this crypto rabbit hole your life will never be the same.

felow newfag here, but after lurking i conclude
1.people exchange lines of script because it equals currency 2.your computer uses a gpu to make money by solving equations 3.bullshit 4.buy coins, preferably etherium due to it being cheap and wait for the price to rise and sell it 5.dunno

You're fucked brah. Seriously though, you have a lot to learn and Google is your friend. Basic gist is sign up at Coinbase, it's the easiest/most normie friendly way to get your hard-earned dollars into Bitcoins. Then if you want Monero, you have to make an account at an exchange, probably Bittrex for ease of use and volume. Send your Bitcoin from your Coinbase wallet to the Bittrex wallet and then go to the Bitcoin/Monero market and buy. Then maybe put them in a paper wallet and don't lose that shit

and no one likes long term here

1. Get a Gemini or Coinbase account. It will connect to your bank or debit which you can use to exchange BTC for USD, et cetera. You can't buy Monero on Coinbase though as far as I know. 2. I don't think you'll be able to get into mining, it requires basic computer skills and equipment I'm almost certain you don't have to be profitable at all. Don't fall for cloud mining either, you're better off buying and holding. (exactly what it sounds like).

Thanks I guess I should do my own research first before whining on here Ok i will get coinbase accoutns thanks everyone
I will come back after few months and give you a rundown how I ended up on the streets.
Stay Tuned.
Zachary Jones
yea my dad fucked up these things twice but both were due to accidents not by errors. Second time he screwed up which we are now broke was due to him "misclicking" kek We were pretty much recovering from first calamity and making fortune which took 10+ years. Then he misclicked and sold everything. I will follow his footprints and make my family great again
Easton Powell
i mean "bought" large quantities of worthless stocks by accidental misclicking not sold
Aaron Taylor
Another not very intuitive thing is that your coin wallet addresses will be under the accounts tab click on the send and receive, these will change. You won't need to know that right away unless you're trying to receive coins from another party. It takes like a week to transfer USD to coins from your bank, debit changes a small fee but it's an immediate exchange. This is useful to know, as BTC rapidly rises or falls in price.
Eli Murphy
thanks I will google on that and look further to it So bitcoin is ok to invest? I heard ppl say its going to crash If it crashes, do i lose everything or do I just have to wait and wait for it to rise again? As long as i hold and wait, and if it rises again, im not losing money right? So if it crashes, i would have less than I invested but if it rises again, I have same amount or more than I invested. Correct?
1. Leave /Pol/ 2. Start learning/ playing with Dogecoin. Is cheap and with a good community. 3. Find tutorials, use a Wallet, learn what is safe.

step 1. buy monero >>skip steps 2 -5 go directly to step 6 step 6. put sharpie in pooper

by choice, saw the writing on the wall by 98 and left.
But you seem sincerely worried about your family, so I would just start to read from REPUTABLE and professional sources about all this crypto fad, Veeky Forums bodycount thanks to deliberate bad advice is no meme.
Grayson Mitchell

biz teaches you everything you need to know to spot a shitcoin and jewish tricks; liqui trollbox is a close second. all this jibjab teaches you to think critically and start from the assumption that you're getting bamboozled somehow. if you can survive the first buttcoin cycle without going broke, you're going to make it.
Robert Scott
>My family needs money... >I'm going to enter the most dangerous market in history. What could go wrong...Get a job, or you're gonna get fucked hard and end up with a pointer in your pooper.

Your 50 year old father invested in internet funny money while you knew nothing about it?
Bentley Williams
19. no he invested in stocks then later did option. He did that when I was very young and option not so long ago
Luke Gutierrez
Bitcoin was born in 2009, which means you were ~11 when it came to be.
I see you are set on Monero, but I would like to advise you against that. I am not shilling against Monero, but I think you should just invest in bitcoin. Wait for a dip if you want. It will happen.
Think of Bitcoin as Apple or Microsoft. Think of Monero as a random penny stock. I'm not saying Monero won't go on a moon mission, I'm just saying that bitcoin is the bread and butter of the crypto space. Historically Bitcoin is the winner, and very few other cryptocurrencies have made it.
Please buy Bitcoin
Bentley Ramirez
If you're happy with a few % profits regularly in alts you'll do better than 99.9% of the people here.
Gabriel Hughes
I am going to buy some At first i thought it will crash whatsoever but im not like investing tons of money or anything and eventually it will climb back to normal or a little less than normal so yeah im only going to spend 500 bucks. More i hear people seem to believe at best its a big dip or fork(idk) rather than a full crash. Since bitcoin is the most popular anyways it might avoid that
Luke Fisher
Well thats a good news I just want enough money to sustain and prevent disaster.
Eli Lewis
what are you on right now?
Jayden Campbell
? I dont quite get your context I am on verification stage for platform Im on my iphone Im sitting on a wooden stairway Im not on drugs

Thomas Gutierrez

Connor Reyes
>19 Well, apparently I'm not the only newfag of this age around Veeky Forums who wants to get into cryptocurrencies, from what I've learned while lurking is that this guy is pretty much right and that there are a shit ton of shills around this board. Btw, if it makes you feel comfortable, I've heard from several experts IRL that bitcoin will probably reach ~25k next year, so you should prob invest your time with btc.
Jason Phillips
How can I pull that off? I'm not looking to become a memellionaire, just a steady daily profit as you said, do I need to watch the ups and downs everyday and hope to do it right?
Camden Murphy
>Bitcoin as a Google stock So is it possible to buy a fraction of 1 stock like people can buy a fraction of a Bitcoin?
Joshua Butler
Go to thepiratebay and download a documentary about Bitcoin you stupid generation Z retard who needs to be spoonfed.

do not day trade control your private keys news does not affect long term trends of top 50 market cap coins +/- 10% per day does not mean shit in crypto all coins grow exponentially (straight line on a log chart) buy low sell high on the exponential trends mentioned the top is generally 10x trend and the bottom is .3 of trend there is enough opportunity in the top 10 coins to always be on a mooning coin diversify profits into gold and silver the truth is the only thing that counts
Blake Bell
>My family is pretty much broke so I need to make money
Here's a quick rundown on Bitcoin, the blockchain and crypto currency
Gavin Wilson
Put on mascara and go suck some nigger dick, /pol/fag, guaranteed to make some quick dolla dolla
Logan Stewart
Not entirely true. Your trading "tuition" depends on how much money you put into it. However, it can be very lengthy, so if OP needs money now then trading is not the job for him.
Blake Carter
Stop infesting other boards
Aaron Nguyen
OP because you're a fellow warrior I'll give you the very very basics, your time is valuable being spent on other endeavors (I'm taking a break due to burnout from the meme war so it's fine for me to be here).
First try to understand the tech of bitcoin in particular. Do NOT visit bitcoin.com, it's a scam.
Next, realize that you need to spend money to make money. Go to localbitcoins and put $300 on bitcoin and then move that to binance.
From there, learn how the basics of the site work, and put it into Chainlink (LINK). As long as it's under $0.35 cents or ~5500 satoshi (smallest BTC denomination) you should make a relatively quick return inside 2018.
From there you start putting back into bitcoin, but on a wallet that you own and not an exchange wallet.
Learn how to use tails linux on a usb stick to use as a cheap but very safe and effective wallet. Tails is also great for discussing conspiracies on pol etc
Hunter Morales
You would probably need to make a couple repeat deposits of $300, I'm using that number as a minimum that you should put every time, but even $200 x 3 would net you some good returns.
Easton Hill
>fellow warrior How much cringeworthy can /pol/tards get?
Blake Brooks
I'm a normies in every term and bleeding like a mofo. I will still try to learn how to trade and make a comeback. Bitcoin is not dangerous and the wording on your post makes me think you're larping. Best of luck either way.
