$7500 is a psychological point. Most traders believe it's a point where a breakout is possible which means the opposite will happen so that there's a squeeze probably down to $5700 to $6000 then back to $10k for the fork. Just conjecture.

People are just intimidated by big numbers. They see "oh it was $100 last year, now it's 7500" without understanding why it may be in demand.
If enough people see it as a true store of value (consensus value) it will continue to rise, it's just the way it works. It's done that for 8 years, disregarding the recent bull run, in the long term it's going to continue that. Kind of like eGold.

That's not really true, if he started buying them on large scale the price would start to rocket upwards. And even then there are people who never want to part with their bitcoins.
Or at very, very high prices of 100,000$+ a coin or something. (Ex. People who own 10 BTC or something)
