Yes. 315= 3 plates on both sides and the bar, 225= 2 plates on both sides and the bar. No one just counts the weights

Don't count the bar, but also the standard "plate" size is 25 lbs. People get confused sometimes and think 50 lbs is a plate because that's what they use in the magazines, but 25 lbs are the most common so that's the one most people use when they say lmao4pl8.
