That's like asking why didn't Europeans domesticate bears. Even though it looks benign hippo is a dangerous beast.

Hippos are aggressive bloodlusting killing machines. Good luck with that

Look at the picture, what do you see?

A guy torturing a younger female hippo for a stock photo

That hippo is "domesticated" like the captive bears at a circus are. aka it could rip your head off at any moment

This.

As an actual African I'll tell you that I'd sooner trust an axe wielding psycho than a "domesticated" hippo.

really makes you think

>Domesticating
>Hippos

Good joke.

Hippos are fucking lunatics.
youtube.com/watch?v=tQ4KJhrcHtc

Hippos are the animals that kill the most people per year. How the fuck do you domesticate that? If I were African I would stay the fuck away from those giant demons

Hippos are pretty fucking stronk. The Africans were smart to keep their distance.

Believe me user, they tried... didn’t go so well.

Low-IQ is an excuse to not trying to understand things correctly and do an oversimplification.

Hippo are psychopath killers.

>Low IQ?
I think your low IQ is the reason you'd even suggest something that even junior high kids know is a suicidal idea.

Its safer to domesticated alligators

>The eternal hippo
Kek!

>why didn't blacks just domesticate aggressive animal which can kill human with it's giant yellow teeth and spends most of day hidden in water?
>low IQ huh??
>here's a picture of hippo taken in zoo proving that you can domesticate that kind of animal :)

Ayy Lmao XDDD let's domesticate the animal equivalent to a psychopath. This is high IQ my dudes ahhahahahah upboat:!:!:!:

why didn't Russians domesticate bears
just think about it
it's such a strong animal why not use it instead of horses

> a thread died for this

What do you not want to discuss hippos and how their "domestication" ties into African IQ? What are you some type of Veeky Forums who just wants to talk about history?

>Yo steve, I told Gary that there was delicious meat sitting in the water just waiting to be taken
>I probably should have told him that it was hippo tho, huh?
>Nah, he'll be fine. Just look at him now.
youtube.com/watch?v=OMXnhiv3NqY
>AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>He's just giving that hippo a fighting chance
>God bless Gary.

The point of domesticating is that after generations the animal isn't like that any more. Could you be any more of a brainlet cuck? Dogs used to be ferocious wolves, they aren't now because they were domesticated.

You missed his point.

Because there are very specific traits needed for domestication.

>They cannot be picky eaters

>They must reach maturity quickly relative to the humans

>Be willing to breed in captivity

>Be docile by nature

>Cannot have a strong tendency to panic and flee when startled

>Must conform to a social hierarchy

It can do poocopter.

I wonder, what kills more people - cars or hippos?

they tried but the hippos wouldn´t stop eating the kids

How much intelligence does it take to pull a cart? Hippos have t be intelligent enough fr that.

ITT people confuse domesticated with tamed.

Well, I say people, but more likely it's all one guy.

>Not sure if I want this to be real.

Why didn't Neanderthals domesticate mammoths? Low IQ?

they feared the hippo warrior

Some of these points don't apply to a lot of domesticated animals.
>Be docile by nature
Wolves, boars
>Cannot have a strong tendency to panic and flee when startled
Horses, goats
>Must conform to a social hierarchy
Boars, cats

>They cannot be picky eaters
Hippos aren't that picky, they'll eat meat if they have to.

>They must reach maturity quickly relative to the humans
Hippos only take about eight years to reach maturity.

>Be willing to breed in captivity
They're not that hard to get to breed.

>Be docile by nature
They're not the least docile animals in Africa.

>Cannot have a strong tendency to panic and flee when startled
Hippos never run away, they're perfect.

>Must conform to a social hierarchy
Hippos do have a social hierarchy.

Pretty much.

Fucking Spielberg replacing his gun with a walkie talkie.

>Hippos are easy to keep

>Hippos aren't that picky, they'll eat meat if they have to.
They have to be hungry to do that, and they wont stay healthy on that diet. You throw grass at a goat and they'll eat it.

>Hippos only take about eight years to reach maturity.
A cow takes 2 and a chicken takes less than one year.

>They're not that hard to get to breed.
Do you know how much trouble zoos go though to breed large mega-fauna.

>They're not the least docile animals in Africa.
Their name literally means murder cow, they fuck up other animals for fun.

>Hippos never run away, they're perfect.
Ya they freak out and murder everything

>Hippos do have a social hierarchy.
They stay together for safety not because they like echother. They don't have alpha leaders like dogs or horses.

>They stay together for safety
safety against what?

no reason to. zebras would've been more analogous to domesticating horses but even that would've been unwise

Why didn't Europeans domesticate hippos?

1 tamed animal =/= domestication

Other hippos =^)

Hippos and niggets deserve each other. Both are stupid, violent and stinky.

I mean niggers

...

Well, the Latin Church did domesticate one Augustine of Hippo, pretty wild when young.

Bait thread.

Kids remember, domestication is far more than getting your dangerous animal to do cute tricks.

They live in water and blacks don't do water

youtube.com/watch?v=RMpMxaX3Kdg

Hippos are savage as fuck. It wouldn't be worth the risk to domesticate them. That being said zebras surely could have been domesticated.

You'd have to be so continually cruel, harsh, & rigorous with a hippo in order to domesticate them.

thanks for the laugh, user

Hippos are godless killing machines. They are literally the most dangerous animal on earth. And you want to try to domesticate that?

A hippo can be tamed, to a degree, like a wolf or a bear, though I'm not really sure why you would want to. That doesn't mean it can really be domesticated.

Also hippos need to live in water and are carnivores, so their utility as working animals would be fairly limited despite their massive strength.

>Hippos are the animals that kill the most people per year
hippos are the deadliest mammal, the deadliest animal is the mosquito by a huge margin

>Their name literally means murder cow
In what language? The word Hippopotamus means river horse in latin.

Why didn't Europeans demoesticate bears low IQ

poor fuckin gary, he was just tryna cross the pond and those hippos chimped out

Around a hippo, call the popo

...

How the fuck do white people just literally anything? I need to know whitey's secrets

They did domesticated bears though?

>Comic book pic response
Lmfao

Thanks for contributing

Didn’t the poles have a bear lug around artillery shells for them or some shit?

I don't think they did. Think about how many "guard bears" or "pet bears" there are. I think the number is close to zero.

Wow

Lack of procrastination compared to other races. Higher empathy for their own people. We compete to be better

This is now my fetish...

video is recorded in landscape, turn your fucking phone sideways

Ayyy tell the retarded Safari-fags that.

Wolves becoming dogs took 10 000 years of selective breeding you dumbass, the same goes for any other domesticated animals

domesticed ≠ tamed

Do you think circus lions are domesticated?

Shut up you fucking /pol/tard wehraboo. YOu and your annoying group of fascshits should leave Veeky Forums and go back into the containement board you came from. Fuck off, stormweenie and never come back. No one cares about your /pol/ tier shitposts about race having to do something with IQ or africa being underdeveloped. All krautniggers should have been killed so we don't have this disgusting ideology around.

Fuck you

Why didn't European colonists?

Bears are Apex predators, Hippos are even-toed ungulates and there name means 'river horse'.

Hippos are extremely aggressive and it’s impractical to try breeding them

They kill more people each year than any predator does

hello brainlet

Except in the modern era.

Whites are going extinct.

If Teddy got what he wanted, what would hippo bacon taste like?

This, I'd even say that hippos are more dangerous than bears. Bears don't give a shit about you and will actually try to avoid contact with humans, whereas hippos are incredibly aggressive and will attack anything that comes near them or their territory.

>why didn't Africans domesticate vicious semi-aquatic megafauna monsters with the bite strength of a hydraulic press

they couldn't deal with it

>Hippopotamus ("William"), Egyptian, Middle Kingdom, ca. 1961–1878 B.C.
Thought this was neat.

cute boye

>Dude bears are so dangerous lol

How do you know bears aren't among us right now?

Realy answer? Because Europeans have a na'vi like relationship with animals while niggers/redskins are savages with no connection to nature.

>mosquito
>animal

>Because Europeans have a na'vi like relationship with animals
We are constantly annoyed by their advice and being asked to listen?

good description of Europeans

ITT: ignorant faggots confuse "domesticated" and "tamed"

Bump

...

>animal
>mosquito
