Is he the Christian general who baptized his troops with a fire hose?
Say what you want about his incompetence, the guomintang, warlords and communists that followed were monsters compared to him.
He should have followed in the footsteps of Cao Cao tbqh.
Was he /ourguy/?
No, that was another general, and that was a meme anyways.
Wow what monstrous... GDP growth lmao hahahahaha
No, he was the head of the strongest army in China who "cooperated" with Sun Yat-sen to overthrow the Qing until he wanted to LARP as the new emperor.
This. Even Mao did better.
>decades after he died the communist party stopped being hardcore Maoists and achieved long overdue growth with the aid of modern technology and high demand in the global market
that doesn't reflect on Yuan Shikai much
God bless those commies for killing millions and pushing back any industrial growth by decades
You mean Deng Xiaoping.
>high demand in the global economy
What was the 2008-2017 decade like economically again?
>pushing back any industrial growth by decades
you seem to have a vastly overoptimisitic view of China's situation before 1949. You can't really have much in the way of positive growth when you literally have entire armies setting up feudal domains and then fighting each other over them.
Maoist China grew 7% annually on average between 1949 and 1976.
You just going to ignore the so called great leap forward and the cultural revolution
And you're just going to ignore the fact that China was already beat to shit before that. Mao didn't push back anything because there WASN'T anything.
He pushed the industrialization back due to his shitty policies.
China did not grow at all between 1900 and 1949. There were 12 famines with over a million deaths, multiple invasions, and constant war that sent the average lifespan tumbling to 31.
One economic fuckup 1958-1960 does not negate the massive economic growth and improved living standards (average lifespan rose to 64) between 1949 and 1976.
The Cutural Revolution had very little economic effect. I do not see why you include it.
And no, I am not supporting Mao. He was an idiot with the economy and a PRC without Mao would have grown faster. Nonetheless, Maoist China was far better than pre-Mao China.
what industrialization, user
any industrialization in China was because of Mao, not in spite of him
businessinsider.com
Industrial production was 8000% higher in 1976 versus 1949. GDP up 700%. GDP per capita up 300%.
What exactly is your point here? You are historically illiterate? We already could see that.
It happened after him. You retards don't seem to understand that China could've grew during his time but it didn't. China's real growth happened after they got hong kong
>China did not grow at all between 1900 and 1949.
wtf is this meme? warlord china had 300% increase in industrial production, among other things
Per capita*
Also,
>warlord era
>1949
"No"
>Deng
Bitch please, you don't even have an air force.
