It's working for a lot of people, myself included. You're not gonna train it for more than 10-20 mins per day. I don't get why weightlifters are such pussies. Athletes work the same muscles day after day after day.

Never did neck training until recently, but frontsquatted a lot. That + OHP seems to work for me.
I cant recommend anything other than doing direct neck work if you havent seen an increase in your neck. But neck + traps is a game changer, you look like you lift in a suit if your back is good

well of course you "can", but whether you should is the question. Especially with your neck you should be a bit more careful, and rushing things isnt the way to go. See lifting as a lifestyle change, dont be impatient and try to rush anything. You might injure yourself.
Try it every other workout, a few neck curls and see how you respond. Start with low weights and increase slowly. You've lived this long without neck training, no need to go full retard all of a sudden

Damn I always struggle with this. I didn't work out biceps today because tomorrow is Pull day and I ended up doing cardio and abs only because yesterday was Push day. So I couldn't work any shoulders or triceps even though they weren't really sore.

Could be a tension headache, make sure your jaw/neck are relaxed.

Lucky for me, after a few months of neck training, my face and my physique looks less DYEL than the normies that started around the same time as me. My 17 inch thick unflexed neck is good enough for me, since my traps are developed as well. My DYEL friends and around the same height (5 11)who started lifting around the same time as me a year ago are wondering how I look more aesthetic. They neglect their neck and training and only train their arms and chest lol.

Mostly just forward curls, then at some point add back neck extensions for muscular balance. The front curls add the most mass to the SCM muscle.

Haha nice, but not enough frequency on neck to really make gains. Better to put 10 mins or so at the beginning or end of all your workouts.
For jaw, I have a similar theory that chewing gum (but many pieces to create resistance) will hypertrophy the facial muscles and improve their appearance. This should probably also be high frequency.

This is a concern of mine too, but I trust that 1) very few people will find this content, 2) people are fucking lazy anyways, and 3) people don't like standing out doing less conventional exercises.

Partial movement. Instead of nodding your head till yer chin touhes the middle of your collarbone, you stop nodding your head until it's parrallel with your neck.

As for being afraid of many people starting neck training, I wouldnt worry too much about that. How many people in your gym even use barbells, squat, deadlift? Lots of idiots just wasting their time doing nothing but machine workouts, do you think that demographic is suddenly starts doing research and implementing neck routines into their brosplit?

I've been doing 4sets x 6reps for my neck curls. Around 25lb resistance. Is higher reps really more ideal?

do you feel it working? Dont get too obsessed over rep ranges or numbers of sets. Progressively overload and the neck muscles will grow. Dont go overboard, dont rush it, see how your body responds and adjust accordingly
Its your body and ultimately, only you can arrive at the answer. What works for me doesnt necessarily work for you in the same way.

My neck is definitely stronger. I only started at arround 15lb three months ago. I never take progression pics though. Couldn't actually say if it looks any bigger.

Start taking them. Sounds like youre on the right way, eventually, your muscles WILL grow given that youre eating at a caloric surplus.
But I cannot stress this enough, be patient and take it slow. Treat it like any other lift, consistency is key

It would cause your skin around that area to be more taut, so if you don't have a chin or jaw it'll be worse. But it'd be better than having no neck IMO

How long would it take to add an inch? I'm at 14.5-15 inches and want a 16inch neck unflexed I feel that would be proportional as I have a smallish head.

btw the way boxers and martial artists train their neck thickness (absorbs hits better) is by doing this. neck planks for 1 minute sets will sort you out, plus can be done at home.

Both are good exercises, i think bridges are better for combat sports because you can overload them better, but neck curls are far superior for size and long term safety

About 2 months of consistent high volume training with progressive overload. Then you can likely reduce frequency to maintain (2-3 times per week I'd think).

Neck OP here. Also getting jawpilled, was gonna make a similar infographic in a few months once I start seeing more results. There's already some solid gains coming in. If you can't get good quality gum, just load up multiple pieces of regular gum. I'm running Wrigley's original 4 pieces x 3 hrs a day.

Combines really well with neck gains and lowering bodyfat. I'm looking more into the theory, but basically the face has a ton of muscles that are likely underdeveloped in joblets that sit in front of computers all day, and aren't public speaking or singing very often. Also if you look at recovering stroke victims, their facial muscles hypertrophy back to normal. So why can't be hypertrophy past normal? ;)

I think you actually want the cheeks to atrophy though for maximal aesthetic gains. This means not doing any facial exercises apart from the jaw ones. Losing bodyfat of course is a given.

I actually do have a "gf", who noted that it appeared as if I had lost weight when she saw face after not seeing each other for a while, so you can know with certainty that it's not a placebo.
