Is incline bench a meme?

I only do flat bp right now. Anyone notice if incline builds "upper chest"?

Flat bench is the meme. Incline is great, won't make your pecs look like manboobs, and is probably safer for you shoulders.

Bench and OHP. All parts of the chest, shoulders, and triceps. Do incline if you like it, but it's not necessary.

If your upper chest isn't growing from regular bench, incline is your best bet

try it out and see if you feel a difference

can't go wrong with flat bench + incline DB, finish off with some flyes or pec deck and you have a comprehensive pec workout

Can incline db bench give you more gains than incline bb? i've been doing incline with a barbell and it has been giving me some noticeable pec gains, but i was thinking on switching to dumbell because many here seems to praise dumbells over barbells in most exercises.

I'd stick to bb if youre making gains. I feel i can overload bb much better without recruiting stabilizing muscles

All pushing exercises work chest, just some work parts of the chest more predominantly than others.

I mainly do OHP and weighted dips for chest, no bench, and my chest is coming out fine

it only works out the part between your shoulders and chest

It definitely feels like it works a different part for me. I can do a ton of bench then do incline dumbbells and be almost fresh. I also never trash my chest harder than incline dumbells. The day after my upper pegs feels shot. Flat bench is still king but do not neglect incline specially dumbbells.
