You could also try doing incline pushups. Use small piece of furniture that you won't knock over and pump some out.
If you can keep doing sets of 5 you'll make it eventually, but you should try doing other lifts to target other parts of your body that aren't being pushed

Knee pushups are bullshit, they don't work your core.

Do incline pushups on a kitchen counter at first. When you are able to do a set of 10, go for a lower surface like a desk, then a chair, etc. You will be able to do proper pushups on the floor in no time.

I got these push up rotator things for christmas.

I can do 10 push ups with good form now, but if I only wait 2 or three days I can't do the same.
I have to wait about a week, and then maybe I can do the same or potentially more.

I'm improving, couldn't do a single push up this time last year, but I feel like there's something wrong with me if I take so long to fully recover.
Also the whole idea of actually measuring how many calories and how much protein I'm consuming is really overwhelming and I'm not sure where to start.
