>Socialist Realism BTFO

You do realise industrial meat contains little to no b12 and it's only added to the meat later.

>Everything can and can't cause cancer

These cancer researchers are fucking retarded

Stop reading and posting clickbait articles you piece of shit

>Vitamins causing cancer

Well that's fucking new.

On another note, what are you guys supplementing that improved marginally your quality of life?

This is only relevant to smokers. So few non-smokers get lung cancer that they couldn't even measure the effect.

Added later? You mean they put it in their feed?

>Animals store vitamin B12 in liver and muscle and some pass the vitamin into their eggs and milk; meat, liver, eggs and milk are therefore sources of the vitamin for other animals, including people.[5][7][25] For humans, the bioavailability from eggs is less than 9%, compared to 40% to 60% from fish, fowl and meat.[26] Insects are a source of B12 for animals (including other insects and humans).[25][27]
>Animal sources with a significant content of vitamin B12 (range among top 20 sources of 50 to 99 µg per 100 grams)[28] include clams, organ meats (especially liver) from lamb, veal, beef, and turkey, fish eggs, mackerel, and crab meat.[4][5]

super male vitality

>vegans
>men

lol

IDK which one it is, but I started supplementing together, about 6 months ago
>creatine, megadose vitD, ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea, and bacopa monieri
There was an energizing and relaxing effect, but I can't pinpoint which supp was that did it.
I'm going to remove the herbals once I run out, just to see what happens.

bacopa can make some people lethargic and depressed, reishi and lion's mane is where it is at

dont forget alpha brain

>These cancer researchers are fucking retarded

>S I P B O Y S

This, seriously.

The research links high doses of B6/B12 with an increased risk of lung cancer in men. The risk is 2-3x higher when you're a smoker.
However, the risk of lung cancer in non-smokers is already low, so the absolute risk from B6/B12 is still low.

"Vitamin B6 and B12 cause cancer in men" is false.
>increases risk of a specific kind of cancer
and
>causes cancer
are totally different statements

>organ meats

So basically you're safe unless you eat some crazy shit like cow colon

>men who megadose B12 and B6 BTFO

What's happening here is that if you take megadoses of micronutrients, pre-cancerous tissue will turn into cancer slightly more often and the cancer will grow quicker. This has been known for decades, and is even noted by the author of the paper being referenced.

Vegans have overall lower cancer risk and lower lung cancer risk specifically, so clearly the protective effect of the diet on average outweighs the effects of the b12 megadosing issue.

What you should do:
>be vegan
>don't smoke
>only take a sane amount of B12
"problem" solved

/thread?

Vegans are fucking retarded. When a women is pregnant and eats vegan then the child has 10-15% chance of getting the rare condition called spina bifida. pic related.

Image search shows more horrifiying stuff. Vegans should be exterminated.

>following a diet that will weaken and possibly kill you unless you supplement
>it's healthy

Top kek

That's the issue with articles and news today in general, instead of being as unbiased and truthful as possible it has to be sensational to get views so more often than not people just grab the headline and shit themselves.

What you mean to say is that B12 deficient mothers will often give birth to children with neural tube defects. This applies to all mothers, not just vegans. There are plently of non-vegans with B12 deficiencies.

Nobody should be exterminated, people should be taught what a healthy diet is and they should do regular checkups, bloodwork, etc to make sure everything's ok.

>following a diet that will weaken and possibly kill you unless you eat meat
>it's healthy

...

>N-nobody should be exterminated
t. vegan gay negro

Well, if you want to volunteer to be exterminated, that's fine by me

im vegan

OP BTFO

you look good senpai, perhaps consider shaving your autistic chest hair?

thank you user

why would i shave these baby hairs tho

The bioavailability of vitamin B(12) in healthy humans from (...) chicken meat averaged (...) 61%-66%.

There is no fucking way anyone from Veeky Forums that lifts has a chance of being B12 deficient.

The reverse can be said about vegans.

Are you 5'7"?
You have the proportions of a superdeformed caricature.

I'm a smoker and have been supplementing b12 for energy.

Rip me Veeky Forums, I knew ye well.

>There is no fucking way anyone from Veeky Forums that lifts has a chance of being B12 deficient.
You would be surprised. Some people have weird genetics that make them prone to get a b12 deficiency. It's not that rare either

your head seems too big for your body

This is a dude who posts on fraud general, that image is not this user, fuck off you bigger stop pretending to be mossey

Gee, guess I have to stop inhaling all that meat, huh?

no im 6'

you cant even see my head, senpai

wether or not this is me, moosey is actually a vegan

Kidnies and livers are pretty popular

>Be vegan
>Barely get any calories in
>Have to eat shit tons of vegetables to even compete with the rest of the people
>Take supplements because your shitty plant based diet is vitamin deficient
>Get cancer

>Nobody should be exterminated
you clearly don't belong here

>shockingly vegans don't support pointless killing

i'm not the vegan gay negro here

it's not pointless if you eat the animal. are you retarded or do you just pretend to be for comedic effect?

What about Androtrex?

>murdering trillions of animals yearly to give millions of people heart disease and cancer
you're right this makes sense

is it true vegan bitches have the sweetest pussy?

Nice vegan acne
Roids are not vegan sorry

>vitamin B6
>known to significantly reduce the rate of pre-cancerous skin growths (SCC & BCC), cancers which a majority of white people will get in their life
>it might increase the chances of a cancer you will never get anyway if you don't smoke so you shouldn't take it

What did they mean by this?

Because they're goddamn fucking tasty

>Be non vegan
>Acquire information from sensationalist headlines
>Be happy because they pander to your ears, without forming your own thoughts based on the actual research
Idiots should not be allowed to reproduce. Don't repeat your parents' mistake.

>most people eat shitty therefore eating X in moderation is bad
this is why you didn't get into college

>vegan diets are the most natural he said
>excuse me while i take my vitamin B supps he said

if you haven't read any of the literature on this issue, which is obvious, you shouldn't comment senpai

>vegan diets are the most natural he said
who said this exactly?

>vegan diets are unnatural he said
>excuse me while I take a multivitamin he said

Multivitamins are a waste of money for anyone that east a somewhat varied diet.

VeganStains™ pls go

do you think "he" is flexible enough to lick it?

looks like shaving irritation

Fish oil

do you take protein powder?

i'm taking fish oil too, it makes my piss reek and my gf no longer swallows my cum

right now im taking just Zinc and 5000ui of VD3 daily

Well no shit aren't most vitamins made from coal tar? Who believed it wouldn't cause cancer?

Got that shit injected for months, not even vegan.
Is it over, lads?

>it's another corpse muncher posts a click-bait article to support his opinion that is actually disproved if he actually bothered to read the article he posted episode

it's not clear if injections have the same effects as tablets

it's not clear if supplementing those who are actually deficient in b12 still carries cancer risk or not

it's probably way worse for you if you're not vegan, as you get more (pre-)cancer overall, and boosting that more cancer by megadosing is obviously not great

>deficiency of b12 causes cancer
>usage of b12 supplements cause cancer
>getting b12 from meat causes cancer
So what the fuck do I do, jesus christ

EAT ALL THE CANCER YOU GET
MORE GAINS

I dont and never have

Literally everything causes cancer.

nice fucking source, faggot.
>ascopubs.org/doi/abs/10.1200/JCO.2017.72.7735
>Lung Cancer Risk
>Lung
>50 to 76 years of age
>Use of supplemental vitamins B6, folate, and B12 was not associated with lung cancer risk among women. In contrast, use of vitamin B6 and B12 from individual supplement sources, but not from multivitamins, was associated with a 30% to 40% increase in lung cancer risk among men
>For vitamin B6 and B12, the risk was even higher among men who were smoking at baseline. In addition, the B6 and B12 associations were apparent in all histologic types except adenocarcinoma, which is the type less related to smoking.
My suspect is high dosage in cyanocobalamin (cyanide+cobalamin) which interacts badly in smokers and people with non functional kidneys. Methyl-b12 is a superior supplementation with all the upsides and none of the long-term potential downsides. It is first converted by MMACHC (a gene providing instructions for metabolizing B12) into cob(II)alamin, which is then further converted into methyl&adenosylcobalamin. You can have a detailed analysis (with sources) on regevelya.com/vitamin-b12-forms/
I haven't read the paper yet, but I'd bet $50 they didn't check for the kind of cobalamin administered. For sure they didn't check for diet.

T. California

>what is high school level chemistry

Apparently the recommended daily allowance of b12 is only a few mcg, but as you can see and what I have seen in stores, each tablet contains anywhere from 500mcg to 5000mcg. Way, way too much. Looks like we need to find fortified foods or something. I have a 1000mcg sublingual tablet that was actually recommended by my doctor who is not vegan.

Honestly cancer is fucking bullshit and it's impossible to live a life without some "significant" cancer risk.

do vegans take fish oil? or they consider it immoral?

I didn't finish high school, checkmate.

Damn you got me good

more importantly: what do vegans with parasites do?

the best route (regardless of habits and diet) would be to routinely check with a blood work if there's a reason to supplement something and supplement as long as it's reasonable.
I literally do not know of any other study correlating cobalamin with cancer. Not even this study seems directly correlating it. See
>use of vitamin B6 and B12 from individual supplement sources, but not from multivitamins,
so it's the dose? it's the interaction? sketchy.
That's why I suspect that it's not B12 - per se - to cause an higher % cancer risk (which is anyway really, really low in absolute terms).
I find sketchy they end up mixing multis and single doses at that age. What do we know about these patients? Maybe they were supplementing high doses because their doctor told them so because they have or had a different pathology, while the people taking multis were generally healthier. Are we sure we have enough data to even draw a correlation?
About those 5000mcg sublingual tablets. They have been found to be have protective for nerves and to serve effects against some symptoms of (literal) autism (if it's not cyanocobalamin). I really can't guess what could go wrong with them, but for sure I would never go on a supplement spree. Cycles, at best.
About fortified food. There's plenty of fortified food, just look at all those sippers. Every youngster out there is taking high doses of b12 and cyanide with red bulls and whatnot.

you take a pill and you shit them out? this isn't against vegan ethics

why not? it's killing animals.

oh right, it doesn't count because it's not
>"omg le cute fuzzy bunny xDD"

So, take the lowest dosage of B12 supp, cut it in half and take it every 2 days. Problem solved?

it's an animal that is hurting you. this is obviously fine. veganism is against unnecessary killing

>Life past 16 is natural he said
>Excuse me while I inject myself with a man made vaccine he said

>Cobra poison is natural he said
>Excuse me while I croak he said

Retard

but if you literally need the nutrients to stay alive it's not really unnecessary

>inb4 muh supplements

Vegan or not, eat vegemite.

There is not a single nutrient that HAS TO be obtained from animals

vegans

oh right, plants produce tons of B vitamins, that's why vegans don't need those supplements. i forgot, sorry.

are you sure you're not mixing up vegans with paleo?

yes
but also:
>implying there are differences between one meme diet and the other

what's up with all this discussing about vegans? clickbaits aside, this issue doesn't relate with vegans
at least try to read the abstract

plants do produce tons of b vitamins. except for b12. animals also don't produce b12. hmm it's almost like i'm talking to a retard
