Old Military Exercise Manuals

Hello Veeky Forumsizens!
I am currently researching several empires from the past and their workout regiments for personal use and because I love history.
When it came to WW2 I had no issue finding American and British training manuals and military movement drills but when it came to Nazi Germany I couldn't find a lot of their manuals and nutrition facts for soldiers and other military personnel.
Even japan had training info.

Pic related was given to me in my studies but there has to be something out there.

TL;DR: If anyone has info or links to WW2 German training manuals, exercises, nutrition for soldiers, I must have it for my research on strength and conditioning and historical purposes.

Dont have anything to share but this is a good thread and deserves a reply.

thank you atleast ill have that ill bump with this

If really interested, ask the Bundesarchiv/Militärarchiv in Germany. They have stuff from 3rd Reich Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS and more and are open to researchers.

>WW2 German training manuals, exercises, nutrition for soldiers
very unlikely. But since the Germans were trying to emulate the Greeks and Romans, according to your picture, then you should find similar results if you research how the Greeks and Romans trained.

i like the message here but can anyone show me a source that the allies went through a lot of trouble to specifically destroy german military fitness/training books or documents? Or burned fitness manuals?

This image is bullshit. Blatant lies and propaganda from some Nazi wannabe.

what is your steam account? email it to me if you can. [email protected]

how?

There's a book called "sport und staat". Apparently it's quite rare and expensive.

cant find anything about fitness, exercise, training, or anything related in either of these links

I'm not denying the allies destroyed a good amount of German culture but I the OP image claimed they specifically went through a lot of trouble to destroy German fitness training manuals/documents.

od43.com/Sport_und_Staat_1934.html
"The book is volume one of a planned series of four volumes, it has 160 very interesting pages, heavily illustrated with about 200 pasted in photo-like pictures plus several other illustrations and a fold-out photo at the end of the book. This book is showing how the National Socialists promoted the importance of physical exercise. The book gives many examples from the various Nazi organizations, i.e. SA, NSKK, BdM, HJ, etc."

>le ebil jews destroyed muh arya man exercise books
lol no if anything USSR copyed the training, training equipment, tracks even the whole Hitler Jugend exept nazism the main focus was communism. 1945-1948 training guides are mostly based on german sources so if you dont find anything in german thats the next best thing.

thank you this has helped me alot

send me an email with your steam profile in the email ive posted

Because you're obviously a wannabe Nazi that wants to believe the bullshit.

The Nazi forces were starving by the end of the war. The culture of fitness you describe was stressed everywhere in the world because most people needed to be fit, and didn't lead sedentary lives. There was no need for their own exercise manuals we're talking about basic physical fitness here, not ancient sword techniques. They wouldn't have even had PT requirements like we do today, anyone that could shoot a gun was used. You really think the allies went to such trouble as to completely destroy every fitness manual? That's retarded thinking. The truth is there weren't any exercise manuals.
The people that were fighting the war didn't give a shit about working out in their down time, it was all about survival and getting the job done.
The people back in Germany didn't give a shit about working out in their down time because they were upper class and building muscle is a lower class necessity and desire.
Hitler might have envisioned some great empire that would be the new Rome or Greece, but he got btfo by capitalism and his own greed and stupidity.

If you love history, you would have understood these points I'm making already. That's just an excuse you're using though to justify your love for Adolf's dick. Well hop up off his dick, he was a terrible leader and strategist. You're better off following Obama or something, Jesus Christ that's really saying something.

personally i liked mosley better but regardless i didnt say i believed in everything that picture given to me said. i just wanted to look up "rare" shit and see if it really was impossible to obtain.
maybe there were some military exercises my own country doesnt have i dont know about you but im always looking for different exercises other than what i was initially taught in the military.
ofcourse hitler was shit later on in the war everyone knows this. im just looking for the best in history and using what i like. im not gonna be gassing kikes or anything im just adding to my dedication on working out and knowledge in fringe interests.

2&4

Bump

Hey I am in a German sports focussed fraternity and we have a guy who is in the military. He told me what you probably expected anyway: soldiers doing a lot of bodyweight circles and stuff similar to American GPP. We even have a lot of running tracks in the forest where every Mile there is a different bodyweight course. It's pretty common here. Search for Trimmdichpfad. Fucking awesome. So basically there was something called the tunerbewegung where a lot of fit and young students tried to achieve maximal physical performance. This was early 19'. The Nazis adopted this idea although they shut down every fraternity.

thank you this is very helpful

no they were destroyed because of pic related

i refuse to believe /pol/ has become this delusional

No problem. I have been in charge for year for the Sport Events Held at our fraternity. We do a lot of gymnastics and athletic stuff, like in the tunerbewegung. Like I said, the Nazis only stole the whole idea behind "mens Sana in corpore sano" and tried to apply it to their fucked up ideology of the superior Arian race.
Sadly nearly every athletic fraternity in Germany consists of fat alcoholics but we have some great athletic people. Also fat alcoholics of course..

What im trying to accomplish ultimately is to soak up all this high end propaganda from many empires past at their peak for motivation on working out which is helping greatly and their training methods to better myself. i want to be ubermensch. i dont want an ethno-state or to kill people i just wanna look like those sculptures and avoid degeneracy. is it even possible?

>wants to be the ubermensch
>thinks soaking up another culture's values is going to help him become the Lycurgus of his own Sparta
Son

figured it was worth a shot

Here's some actual advice. The greatest of men are those who have been through the greatest suffering.

"To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities—I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not—that one endures.”

Yearning, striving, and suffering are fabrics of life, not to be denied, but to be faced squarely. The body is meant to suffer, and the mind is meant to fashion something beautiful out of the suffering. The creator, the sculptor, the divinity of the spectator. The body must be forged and refined, and suffered. To abolish pain would be to abolish meaning. Well-being makes man contemptible, makes his destruction desirable. Only suffering has created all enhancements of man so far.

who made that quote? i like it

>implying Dresden happened

This is the future your grandparents died for :^)

>Getting THIS triggered

OP, please enlighten some of us on what you have already researched. Please post examples of workout regiments throughout history. Would be fun to do an ancient Greek workout one day, or a Japanese soldier workout or something.

the ubermensch is the creator of new values. the ubermensch carves new paths for himself. he kills that which he loves. he burns down the villiany of the self so that he can be born anew and rise from the ashes. the beast of burden obeys and the ubermensch commands.

the roman workouts were alot of weapons battle drills with swords, shields and javelins. alot of them can be done today with realistic dummy weapons purchase from places like cold steel.
there was also hand to hand combat training so the us armys' combatives courses.
there was also marching, heavy lifting, throwing heavy stones by hand and a sling, they also focused alot on swimming endurance.

Japanese workouts basically involved agility and endurance training/repetative workouts last longer and longer over time and alot of uphill running. ive done lots of ruck march type exercises in the desert with spread out water points not counting my camelbak.

on top of this ive bee nresearching several political movements like libertarianism, fascism, and several types of nationalism.

Why is everyone on this site have a nazi boner
>little brown boy who can mire nazi fashion but thats it

They had superior strength stamina etc because of meth

EVERY board hates jews

More like pretty much everyone in every country in the world except for the neutered West.

... this thread is a little too off topic, isn't it?
