No, I have arguments explaining why they didn't move to the Jewish Autonomous Oblast which is the topic of this thread.

Living conditions in Russia have always been worse than in the West, Russia and the Soviet Union both suffered episodes of serious antisemitism (pogroms, Doctor's Plot) and on top of that Asiatic Russia has been considerably shittier than European Russia.

So that's why they didn't move there.
Jews have been continually leaving Russia for Israel or Western nations ever since it was affordable for them to do so.

Jews wanted Isreal, and wanted to dominate the west. Pretty hard to do in some frozen Siberian wasteland.

God that looks beautiful tho.. I love going on google earth and looking at the towns and cities in the far east. Petropavlovsk looks comfy af and Sakhalin is also gorgeous looking. The Far-East would be so much better without Russian Kleptocracy strangling it. It's a perfect mix of European, Siberian and Asian culture and Aesthetics.

The Jewish Oblast is also really comfy as far as weather goes. Average mid-summer highs around 25-26 C, lows around -15C in January & December. It's basically where the East Asian monsoon systems and Siberian high pressure systems meet.

Nothing will ever be comfier than the macronesian climate tho. The Azores truly does seem live paradise on earth.

Because the Soviet government liked the idea of Israel, and, once it was established, sent the Jews into it.

There is nothing on that patch too, so no surprise noone wanted to go there too much. There are some opportunities regarding China, but still, trade hubs aren't there.

Was the nazis not backed and being used by France and britain at the start to fight againist the threat of communism coming from russian? Israel isn't a desert. It's arid, sure, but perfectly habitatable and capable of sustaining relatively productive agriculture. Israel produces around 95% of its own food as of now.

They had begun the creation of the israeli state in the region decades before the place was given to them by the UN.
