But this "fact" is stupid, as most dinosaur fossils would've been considered to be some form of mythological monster before this time period, not some giant reptile that lived millions of years ago.

The greatest evidence for why dinosaurs exist, is not all the skeletons, but the abundance of stories around the globe of legendary/ancient creatures that ceased to exist for some reason.
