It's almost Thanksgiving. In Canuckistan. I am thankful to Veeky Forums and /fph/ for teaching me it's unacceptable to be fat and encouraging a road to healthiness. The worst was about 4 years ago when I was 29 years old. I am 6'1 and the gravity well measured at 302.

This weekend, I just completed a wardrobe refresher at Banana Republic. Waist size is 32 and I now fit in medium shirts. Not slim fit yet. There's some more work to do as I am still 177 with excess body fat.

Should we praise and accept alcoholics and the damage they do their bodies and their families? No. We get them help. We expect them to try to change. We give them ultimatums. We don't accept excuses. So why is it not politically correct to say the same thing for obese people?

The more we talk about how gorgeous and perfect fat people are, the more into their addiction they get. The more enabled they feel and the more defensive they become the moment says anything remotely negative about being overweight. The more they slowly kill themselves. It's fucking depressing.
