Never posted in one of these, or ever made the thread. Just looking for honest opinions. Been lifting for about 2 months, lifted a bit on and off past 2 years, nothing serious, but now I have a consistent schedule. Hoping for some consistent gains. Thoughts?

Progress is way slower than what you guys or SS says it should be. No matter how much I eat. ive tried 800 kcal over tdee and it still seems to only result in fat and not strength.

Bro, you need to cut. Lower your BF to 11-13% and then bulk (500 calorie surplus max). You will always gain fat when bulking, but you can always cut afterwards.

Some variation of PPL but to be honest I don't even have a real routine, I just go to the gym and hit whatever I think I need to that day. The lifts I do for sure (in this order) are:

day 1: deadlift/pullups/curls
day 2: bench/dips
day 3: squats/sitting OHP/leg press
day 4: abs and core OR rest day

I do other stuff too but I just lift until I'm sore usually. Also I try to do 5 sets x 8 reps of everything. Honestly I'm looking for a real routine because I haven't been tracking my progress that well and I want to take it more seriously.

idk bro, i do fasted cardio in the morning and lift in the afternoon. diet is clean as fuck. hit legs 2x a day sprints on tuesdays and weightlift/calisthenics on thursday. hit abs everyday i eat around 1500 calories a day

Ah youre a lot more dedicated than i have been.
I just hit every major muscle twice a week and eat random calories but i know its way over 2000.
Breakfast: 5 eggs, oatmeal, 2 bananas
Snack: 2 peanutbutter sandwiches
Lunch: 2 cups of rice and a can of pinto beans with sweet potatoes and spinach
Snack: random herbs (dont measure) like alfalfa sprouts and cilantro
Dinner: 2 large chicken breasts and broccoli

Not sure the calories but thats a standard day of eating for me and i usually eat alot more. I need so much more calories to get any gains

My pic is about a week old. Haven't really received any feedback though. Tbh, I've been climbing more than anything lately. Finally climbing V4, making me one of the better climbers at my Uni gym. Tbh, it isn't great compared to climbers at a commercial gym, but I'm proud of my recent progress
