Inb4 DYELs say they curl 50lbs because the cheat half curled it once
curling 35's feeling nice

95lbs are pussy
135lbs are normal
225lbs are exceptional
How many reps?
40lbs is definitely not exceptional. >60lbs would be getting there
most people in the gym cant do 15 pullups. weighted pullups is a better metric: 20kgx5 is ok, 40kgx5 very good, >60kgx5 exceptional

Why does the weight matter? If the person lifting is challenging themselves how can you call them a pussy? If you're looking for competition strength standards there's lots of data out there, I believe symmetrical strength draws from it
Kek
I think you meant
405 good
>495 exceptional
are you a grill?
>225 pussy
>405 normal
>495+ exceptional

What the fuck are you on about
Op here. I weigh 252lbs, started at 265lbs. I'm just aspiring. nothin' wrong with it.
0 strokes, using woman, is aryan tier my friend.
That's a good way to fuck your back, does anyone train doing 1 rep max a day? No? I thought so. Between 160 to 180 is normal
>judging people based on the weight theyre using
>not knowing about training max
>going balls to the wall every time you lift
>not utilizing smaller weights to work on volume and bar speed
never gonna make it
It's difficult to have a rational discussion on this board about these numbers because the amount of steroid users here will disrupt the natural results
see I'm not judging.
unless you're talking about each side of the bar, that's pretty sad
3x12
this is absolutely correct OP, the standards of the people here are wildly skewed. If you can deadlift 225 correctly for reps, you are conservatively in the top 85% of the population for strength, especially factoring in how weak and unhealthy the current generation is compared to earlier ones.
>the amount of steroid users here will disrupt the natural results
kek most people on this board are dyel
the bar is 50 r-right?
That too. This proves my statement even further
Thank you gentlemen for participating with me in this enlightened attack upon OP
not trying to attack the man, just want to be sure he knows this is no way to get perspective on where he's at strengthwise. this site
gives a much better idea, just enter your stats and it gives a good idea of where you're at
think you mean ohp m8
Curling 40s with a monster pump makes me feel like a God. Especially since i left hs at 135 and now im 180 took me almost 10 years but I made it.
Almost everyone I have ever seen OHP 225 is either breaking their back to do incline bench press or done more of a jerk than a press.
I rarely see someone hit over 150 with anything resembling strict form while also looking natty.
>If you can deadlift 225 correctly for reps,
Bullshit. I had an ACL tear went through rehab and decided to strengthen my leg posterior chain through weigh training after being out of the gym since high school.
Even with a shit ton of muscle loss from the surgery I was able to pull 245 6 months post surgery, and it was my first set of deadlifts in my life. I had power cleaned in highschool 15 years earlier.
That's for bench
right, so 225 is exeptional
I barbell curl 1pl8. Is that respectable?
What's a normal leg press? I used the leg press machine today for the first time in forever and I had no problem pushing 320lbs up and down for 10 reps at the end of my set.
