sumo would be cheating if it were universally easier and it's not, otherwise you can bet your ass everyone would do it. on the other hand though, while it might be harder for some people it's the more natural movement as opposed to conventional. not talking about super wide but yeah, some kind of narrow stance "semi" sumo. that's what most people do instinctively when picking up heavy stuff.
