not anymore. the mods ruined it. the spinoff misc sites didn't really catch on. not really sure where the community went. I think some came here, some went to r/fitness, and the rest just left.

Some woman attention whore was running around in the exercises subforum with her tits hanging out and giving advice copy pasted from the stickies, looked her up, she didn't exercise worth a shit, she basically just did some yoga and copy pasted the stickies and posted pics of her in some stupid hat to get reps from beta orbiters.

I called her out on it and got banned. They want to keep the peace rather than keep the quality. Their loss, fuck them.

I now rarely go on the misc due to sjw mods that ban anything even remotely humorous or satirical. But we also have to keep in mind this partially legal reasons insofar as bb.com franchise doesnt want to be associated liable for autistic miscers who use the bb.com brand name to shitpost and or do or say incriminating grey area things even if its in a satirical or comedic manner. When I'm looking for basic shit (think wide grip vs narrow grip on lat pulldowns) it's probably the best resource. Reddit tends to have a lot of RPers who are full of bluster and bullshit, and Veeky Forums would take a few mins for an user to respond and may not be even a slightly detailed answer.

That being said, every time I try to get into it I regret it. It takes too long for people to respond, it's got a pain in the ass interface and half the time you get some moron who doesn't know what they're talking about and has done starting strength for 4 months but feels qualified to comment on Smolov Jr.

Some pretty knowledgeable guys on there though. Some of them really do look excellent, or are crazy strong. A lot of them have also done some hilarious meme shit, or even just tried programs that look dubious and done some write ups. A few times I've read about some sort of meme routine on Tnation, and then googled it, and I find a BBer has done it and made a writeup of how it went, what he did and how he felt.
All in all, great resource, but you have to take a lot of what's said with a grain or 20 of salt.
