Do you count the weight of your clothes too?

Yes you idiot. If you're lifting the bar it's part of the weight you're lifting, it doesn't automatically disappear.

Not counting the weight is a meme to confuse new-comers. Don't fall for their japes.

My clothes don't weigh 20kg.

You count the bar twice because there's one weight on either side of the bar, so you're getting twice the effective load. If your bar weighs 20kg, you should count it as 40.

Do you lift the bar? The bar is 20kg, if you don't count it you are fucking with the metrics of how much you are moving.

You halve the weight of the bar because you support it from two points of your body and add it to total weight of plates at each end.

you are gripping the bar, so you don't have to actually lift it, do you count also the weight of your ass?

...

depends on the size of the bar, you have to subtract the pulley effect generated

Do you grip your ass when lifting?

actually you dont count it cause they cancel each other out

Never gonna make it.

next you'll tell me you actually count the weights on both sides of the bar

Only dyels count the bar so they can feel better about "how much they can lift"

You only start counting the weight AFTER the first two plates.

it's attached to me using a series of protein chains, so basically yes

>bar weighs 20kg
>Load up one 20kg plate, now the total weight is 40kg
>Load up another pl8 on the opposite side, now the pl8s cancel each other out, 20-20 = 0
>But since the bar weighs 20kg, and the pl8s do as well, they cancel out the weight of the bar, 20 - 20 = 0
>Conclusion: A bar loaded with two 20kg plates actually weighs 0 kg

So you lift the clothes off your body?

>he doesn't do handless squats while squeezing his butt

>he counts the first plate

>he counts the weight of what he's lifting
don't you know its all about the MINDSET

>he doesn't count all the nanograms of dust on the weights
NEVER GONNA MAKE IT

>itt: bar counters

>brb counting the calories in my egg shells and banana peels

underrated shitpost

reddit tier pic, tries a bit too hard

reddit tier reply, tries a bit too hard

fucking obviously..
why tell my friends i benched 100kg when i can say i benched 120kg

Do Disney loving numales count the bar?

If a bar weighs 20kg and you lift the bar above your head how much weight have you lifted above your head:
A.20kg
B.0kg

Ofcourse, it is weight that you are lifting so why wouldn't you count it

Try lifting with 20kg bar and then with 10kg bar

In competitions the weight of the bar is counted. So yes.

10 obvs because the 2 points of contact halve it.

trick question
