I've had that exact shit happen with several past girlfriends. It's really a shame because they're perfectly nice women, generally good people, but then the sex drive takes a nose dive. On two occasions now I've found that a few months after the sex slows down that suddenly they became really protective of their phone, or they'd be out of touch for more than a whole day and both times I found out I was being cheated on :/

To be honest this shit really happens. I have friends who have done that and I have been disgusted by that attitude, at the same time, I have male friends who cheat and treat it as a joke. I'm incredibly upset about this and kind of scared.

I agree that the reasons men cheat (according to studies mainly "because she was hot", though my personal experience falls in line with yours) are much shittier than reasons women do, not that its ever excusable in the first place.

One thing I will say is that, in my experience, women have much shittier post-cheating bs. Men I've encountered will either have a sort of Chad "I know what I did and don't give a fuck" attitude or feel like complete shit.
