>tfw I told myself I'd do it in January
>literally pleb-tier new years resolutions
>actually fucking did it though

Been on a cut since january, lost fifty pounds, gained a dickload of muscle. I FUCKING DID IT

>Actually started to lose some weight
>Holidays are coming up
>And Semester is ending
>Can't go to Uni Gym
>"I'll start losing weight and getting fit year"

Normie

i didnt know i was on r9k

I started going to the gym hoping it would give me more motivation to improve myself and get out of this fucking depressing pit hole. But so far no motivation and if anything I feel even worse

>Want to start working out
>No time like the present
>This is kinda fun
>But it'll take 2 months to see results, I hope I can stay motivated that long
>2 weeks pass, already less fat and stomach and arms have more definition
>Damn I look way better
>I want to see how much progress I can make in the next 2 weeks
>Get into it hard
>Go too hard and screw up rotator cuff
>Take 2 days off while it heals
>DAMNIT I WILL NEVER GET THOSE TWO DAYS BACK. RARRGH. I HAVE TO WORK OUT TWICE AS HARD FROM NOW ON TO MAKE UP FOR IT.

motivation is bullshit.

then how do i improve my life and do something else other than working as a soulless retailcuck stacking shelves

Congrats man. I started talking to girls. We are all going to make it brah

Discipline

how do you suggest training or developing discipline user? I struggle to make myself do shit like going to the gym or eating properly

I'm not the person you're replying, but for me, easy way to start developing discipline is taking showers that start/end with very cold water.

It works because its something you have full control, and you can fully choose it unless you are a faggot.

However, don't get lured by the mentality of "I already took cold shower, I'm done for the day".

Not him, but go take a karate class or join the military, those are two surefire ways to learn discipline.

1. Just do it
2. Remove as much temptation as you can, and make it as easy as possible to stick to the goal. Like set up your clothes the night before you go to gym (if you go in morning), get a goods night rest so you aren't tired etc

>Start calorie counting
>lose a significant amount of weight (like 40 or 50 lbs) over 6 months or so
>begin lifting and still calorie counting
>see definition of muscle happening
>still losing weight
>will be a year in about 3 months

Feels great to be getting somewhere. Too bad im still an autist

God anime is so cute

Nice brother. Keep up the progress

appreciate the tips boys I'll give what you've said a go

pathetic

same except I've been lifting the whole time. I've been struggling with the whole "want to be ripped but hate being small and weak" thing. So I've ended up being the same weight forever

Went with my friend, was fine except for me being super self conscious, which I was for a like three weeks

Too cute

>cant decide on weight goal
>stay at same weight and keep lifting
>lose motivation because no goal

been doing this for 2 years

>Holidays

Seriously fucking fuck this time of year. Cookies everywhere, (which are my favorite) family shoving massive feasts down your throat and acting all offended or concerned when you don't.

Hitting rock bottom and realizing my life was shit helped me immensely. As cliche as it sounds, you need to set a long term goal for yourself and know that the only way to get there is to start improving today. By long term, I don't mean "by this time next year I'll...", I mean a goal of who you want to be at least 5 years from now. Think about how you picture "successful user" in the future, whatever that looks like, and then start taking the first small steps toward that vision. Don't feel like you have to become a ripped Chad with a 6 figure job within a year. Set small, realistic, obtainable goals for your first year and stick to your plan. You will notice progress after about 2-3 months and this will be the motivating force in the back of your mind. The hardest part is taking the initial step toward your plan. You just have to start today and know that you WILL see progress after a while if you stick to it. Good luck user.

The best time to start losing weight and getting fit is always NOW.

Not next month, NOT next week, NOT tomorrow. TODAY.

Blah blah normie

How is someone offering valid advice a normie? He's completely right you brainlet. Back in July one day I said to myself, "I'm sick of being fat, I'm gonna change." and the next day I stopped eating out and cut out all soda. I've lost 60lbs since then.

No redemption for me :(

Things will get better but working out alone isn’t enough, do meditation and self exploring. Focus on the parts of you that you can handle and move upward from there. Get a friend or therapist you can talk to your depression about, sometimes a therapist is the best option.

I lost and gained 10 kgs three times in 2016

Stop being a womanly faggot.

Count your calories. Hit your macros. Do cardio 3 times a week and lift another 3. If you can't manage to do this you should just kys yourself

>stop being a womanly faggot
>count your calories and do cardio
lmao

>losing weight
>not counting calories
>not doing cardio
Neck yourself

I go to the gym without fail because I don't have a choice, I feel like absolute shit when I have no muscle mass, I avoid interacting with people and so forth, my anxiety is too big. Unless I'm fit then I sort of pass as a normie.

My problem is all the alcohol. I can stay away from the treats and unhealthy shit.

But I wanna be drunk with my family.

literally just stop eating fatass

Just get a whore idiot
