Blue collar

Be quite honest lads,is manual labour good for thoughening up or will it destroy my tendons and dry me up?
some old manuals say workers are stronk but then modern BBs seems to never do any kind of manly manual labour ever.
what's the truth?
Should I work in the construction or carrying tires?

You wanna be careful not to fuck your back.

I can buy a leather belt like those powerlifters use.
workers use them here

Manual labor is good if you don't lift. The only real advantage you gain over lifting is stamina though. It's good for forearm gains and learning how to swing a hammer. If you shovel, it's good for core and stamina again.

I worked 12 hour days for 4-5 years before lifting doing everything. I went into lifting fairly strong, but nothing I couldn't have gotten to in a couple months to a year from a cold start.
My starting stats were 185 bp, 1 plate ohp, 2 plate deads, and... 95 pound squat. All shitty form though. All for reps. Mind you I was doing 1 armed pushups right before lifting, and doing a bunch of strongman forearm shit so I learned how to rip phonebooks in half and lever 12 pound sledgehammers.

Now work makes me weaker and effects my gains. Manual labor won't give you anything that lifting and a little cardio won't also give you. Work on your forearms though.

You will be steong but not aesthetic

aesthetics are subjective

Those don’t prevent injury ya dink

Manual labor is fantastic if you put as much emphasis on form as you do when lifting.
But a lot of blue collar dudes don't know shit about form, and that's how we end up with opioid addicts.

on a side note;why do people think of the USA as capitalist prototype when the working conditions are a result of the chicago commies and other left-wing manouvers?

Better question, why do NuCommies always despise the working class?

They see them as Lumpenproletariat and don't realize all of Marx's goals were accomplished by late stage capitalism.

Wrong, compromises between management and labor occurred strictly in the context of a capitalist economy. The workers who bargained for more rights and the increasing power of the middle class had next to nothing to do with leftists in the US as in all other industrialized nations. Increased productivity lead to increased wages and greater standards of living for workers. Meanwhile the only nations where communism truly took root were agrarian backwaters and former colonies where citizens lived no better than serfs. Marx was wrong, socialism and communism were simply stepping stones on the road to social democracy (see the increased capitalization of China and Russia) not a final stopping point.

Never let leftists poison the narrative bros, learn your history before they try to sell you lies.

This, globalist capitalism and the welfare state have rendered communism redundant.

Poor brainlets.
When will they learn?

To quote from "Muscle Control" by Max Sick, a strongman from way back in the day:

>Take the case of a stonemason, who has to use a hammer or mallet for many hours daily, during which time thousands of blows are struck, and the shoulder and arm have to bear the weight, as well as use the mallet. Now, according to the theories enunciated by many teachers of physical culture, the greater the number of repetitions performed, the greater the development of the muscles employed. But here is a flat contradiction of these theories, for it will be observed that the majority of stonemasons do not evince anything exceptional in the way of arm and shoulder muscle development.
>And the explanation? Perfectly simple! The stonemason's mind is necessarily concentrated upon the work before him, and he pays little or no heed to his muscles. Which leads to another question. Would the stonemason, or any man wielding a hammer for many hours daily, and concentrating his attention upon the muscles employed, develop colossal muscles in consequence? The answer is in the negative; for the reason that the mind tires in a short time if concentrated on any one particular object. And then a limit is reached.

>Should I work in the construction or carrying tires?
tl; dr No

but if i HAVE to do it, how do I minimize the damage?

In what scenario are you being forced into construction labor?

Not him, but it's called being poor and only having a high school education

I want to work to have some spare cash while I study, i need a job that doesnt require a degree.

You can find plenty of jobs that aren't fucking construction. I only have a formal highschool education and I worked at Wells Fargo for 2 years, $15.60/hr starting pay. Just apply to an office temp agency and go from there.

im not an united statian but ok,thanks
ill go to such agency.

Can confirm here. 20 years old in construction and I am already experiencing some back pain. It goes away as the day goes on, but man it fucking SUCKS shoveling 10 hours a day hunched over

not to be a dick but can't you squat instead of hunching?
or would it impede the motion of the shovel?

It's not ideal because it typically involves repetitive motions that lead to overuse injuries and muscle imbalances, which over time lead to chronic pain as often seen in veteran laborers. It's better than barbell style weight training in that the odd or unstable strength movements and grip positions stimulate the CNS and underused muscles more, which enhances gains. Plus the sustained workload improves stamina and endurance. If you want similar results without abusing your body you can do odd object training liking lifting sandbags, and strongman style training which often involves the former training oddities. This way leaves you with more longevity, and has direct carryover whenever you need to do physcial labor for yourself like working around the house, moving, etc. If you really want to do physical labor, doing compound lifts in addition to it will develop total body strength and guard against muscle imbalances and overuse injuries, so there's no reason not to weight train.

Also, forgot to add that compound lifts will train proper movement patterns and develop your mobility, which will protect you from the above problems and target areas that ohyscial labor often neglects.
