im getting a pair of these for home you can lift 200 lb dumbells and yes you can break your joints and yes i can lift more than a hundred if i feel like it. but you are suppossed to work on the pump and feel of the muscle. 60 lbs is good enough

get a pull up bar and do p90x. I go to the gym and lift heavy weights which is better than p90x, but before that I did p90x and it works. You can definitely attain ottermode with it too

That being said, the dumbbells will take you pretty far, but you should also consider getting a barbell and weights and a rack and a bench. Shit's expensive, but worth it if you consistently lift weights.

You can do it with just the dumbbells and a bench. Follow a normal routine and trade barbell exercises for dumbbells. A pull up bar would be nice too but you can do just dumbbell rows instead.
