What do you guys work as?
Recently stopped working as a mechanic at a slave labour place, looking for job ideas, considering something IT, finance or STEM related.

If you live in SWFL and are willing to get licensed for insurance sales and acquire series licenses I can maybe do something for you.

No.

Fuck you then, bottomfeeder.

I work in finance. Defense and then municipal. There is lots of politics and fun issues to work on. Arguing with unions is fun. I get to build new schools and shit.

Private sector seems like it'd be fun for a small business if you're a partner but boring as fuck otherwise.

Pay is not what you'd expect from movies on Wall St. Got offered senior analyst job at a big consulting firm. $85k but in DC, so more like making $55k in an average city. Senior at a big casino offered $70k. Without a pension that isn't great for all the work you do.

I did intelligence for awhile which is also fun but very very very nepotistic.

>Trying to hire me on Veeky Forums
>I don't even live in the US, let alone Florida

Also meant to say, you realize how much local government is run by random boards. There is a liscense committee, zoning board, historical board, school board, and city council. You learn that being city manager is like real life fucking EU4 where you have to invest influence to get votes on different boards to do things. Like playing an HRE game but on steroids.

I live in SWFL. Currently working at 2 restaurants in Collier county looking to get into a sales position where I can make commissions..

Oh wow you live in my area then. Where do you lift at? What's your experience in sales? Are you willing to do prelicensing for insurance and wealth management? I'm working with a guy trying to open an office in Naples or Bonita and need people to train to be agents.

pls respond
I'm charismatic but not social and need bodies

>I'm working with a guy trying to open an office in Naples or Bonita

>middle management at a logistics company
>don't like it
>started as an intern
>its been 3 years
>got a company car, work hours are good and I work like 50% of the day
>recently been promising myself I will change it
>will change it but don't know what to

suggestions? I'm not really interested in money, just a comfy virtuous life.

Firefighter/Paramedic and Electrician on the side.

Anytime fitness on 951 near 95 next to Walmart. Drop me an email, battlam (at) icloud.

Last semester of law School

I live in Spring Hill and I actually had I license to sell insurance back in PA. What do?

The trick with being a mechanic is you need to get other mechanics working for you in your own shop. The other trick is being able to look a customer in the eyes and being totally serious explaining to them why they are paying $500 for a 200 point inspection.

Schedule an exam, start with your 214 since it's most simple.

peak fit career is orthopedic surgery

Health studio major rn at uni, not sure exactly what I want to do. have been looking at community health and maybe working with obese children to improve the rates of obesity

or maybe nutrition (but fuck chem)

Best job in the world. Do it faggot.

Just don't forget the Firefighter part. Being just a paramedic sucks balls. Source: 7 years before I saw the light.

I don't think we have the option in the UK to be both a paramedic and firefighter, as well as an electrician lmfao.

It's hard enough to get an apprenticeship in electrics, let alone do all 3. I hear that firefighting is pretty pointless because 80% of the time you're not tending to fires you're just giving presentations at schools about fire safety (not my idea of enjoyable).

To be a paramedic you need A levels, which I don't have. I'd have to do them which would take a year roughly, but I believe I've missed the school term so would be starting in September (another year of my life waiting in limbo).

Ah, UK is different. Here it's pretty much impossible to be a paramedic and NOT a firefighter.

>Engineer here

In a role I want to stay in for another year or so, but it is so stressful and moving on will be tough

I'm a guy that is hard to get along with and i'm just not comfortable to be around

I'm working on it, the worst thing is moving on to another company and good luck finding references. I suck with people but am great with technology

Pretty sure my boss wants me to quit and go somewhere else but i still want to use him as a reference

Boss also barely talks to me if ever

Working as a security / intelligence analyst in a private oil company operating in the ME.
I mostly work in the company's office in Copenhagen, but from time to time I have been to Qatar, UAE and Iraq for some weeks. Mostly attending meetings, presentations, demonstrations of the rigs and that kind of stuff.
Pretty good pay, and it's nice to travel, although sometimes a bit boring. Was pretty difficult getting the job tho, but looks great on the CV.

I'm 21, electronic engineering student.

I want to do a masters in Finance after I finish my undergraduate degree. I'd want to work on Wall Street.

Any UK lads got some career path suggestions for me?

I've completely fucked my schooling and now work at a tyre fitting place as a slave. I have about 6-7 GCSEs at pass grade and I've missed the school term, I phoned a college earlier today to enquire about starting late but no avail.

bump

Med Tech. That's what I think I'm going into at least. Just doing lab work in the back of a hospital seems decent to me.

>CS Major
>Work at a modern tech company
>My supervisor is a Chad and likes me a lot because I am Veeky Forums and have social skills
>he already pays me more than more experienced coworkers in the same field
>we often get lunch together and talk about nutrition, fitness and his martial arts training
>tries to get me more involved with our marketing and customers because I know the technical stuff, can communicate it unlike all the nerds

life is pretty good, going from my minor in business informatics to full on CS was a great decision as I am one of the few people who know the technical shit and can actually talk to people and are presentable.

Currently thinking about joining a network marketing connection near my area. Anyone have any experiences with NM ?

How does user break out of the food service industry? I have one foot in the door of restaurant management, and its a special kind of hell I do not want for my future. I kind of fucked around in college and Ive been putting off going back bc I have no Idea what I want to do. Im 25 and I feel like time is running out.

Trades in construction in your local area are always looking into.

alex dont lie

Consultant in London, a pretty sweet job.

You need to upskill something... trades if you are good with your hands, or some sort of certificate if you want a business job, e.g.
AAT for accounting
ITIL for IT
breaking into the industry will be hard, so you might want to look for volunteering first, like working with old/disabled people to show them how to use a computer for example... stuff like that

Naples user again, even if there is no position for me, I’d still love to meet up perhaps for a gym session and you could give me some direction/advice to get into a lucrative sales job further down the line?

I am social & charismatic; My greatest talent is creating an emotional connection with my clients/customers/guests.

Construction. I fucking love doing this more than computers, logistics and other secretary bitch work. There's lots of work out there as long as you can pass a piss test. Just find a trade school and sign up
Pic related

Im thinking about joining the army, but im also at the moment getting ready to train for a while in a programming company, maybe with luck they will hire me or at least il learn something from it.
Im also preparing a portfolio as a web page designer or whatever they might get called.
Idk if i should concentrate all my time and efforts in learning html, css, and java or take it easy and get ready for the army

thinking about the RAF as an engineer. ive got a btec in electronic but im not sure about the 12 year commitment, any you guys in the the RAF or similar. is it worth it

Has anyone here ever done g4p or male stripping? It's the ultimate Veeky Forums job and I want to get into it, but don't know how

itil.org.uk/

This place?

I've done a lot of building site work before and laying fibre cables, but what trade should I get into?

my cosin does it in the uk, i dont know how to get into it but hes told stories of guys getting a little older and a bit out of shape and thats it for them. it will really fuck with your self esteem when women are disgusted with you cause you are a below average guy surrounded by above average guys

Software or real engineer?

In fact forget the trade option, they pay shockingly.

General contractor and massage therapist

You wouldn't think it, but they cross promote fairly well. I make more from massage therapy so I'm storing cash until I can afford to flip a few houses. Just building up to retirement

This is very true, being socially competent in CS/engineering is a major career boost because you can actually interact with clients/charm them

If you don't have a criminal record, there's always the police.

>£23K starting salary
>rapid career progression
>get to drive like a mad cunt
>women actually DO still find that shit attractive
>piss easy to get in

Just don't, DON'T become a police officer in London. Seriously. The best thing I've ever done was transfer out of that godforsaken shithole.

See, I live in L O N D O N, I've been considering the Met, but I'm not sure if my social skills are quite at policeman level yet. I don't have a criminal record, just a few run ins when I was a kid.

Will they be able to train me up properly?

Sure. I started out there, you get a fuckload of training so long as you pass the (piss easy) fitness test. You really don't need social skills to become a PO, just don't be a dick to coworkers and you'll be fine. My main problems with policing in London were that first and foremost, """minorities""" will not give you respect. Don't knuckle under to them, even though you might be worried about consequences at first, you are perfectly justified in your actions under certain circumstances (i.e. if one of them spits at you, or gives you verbal, bundle that cocksucker in the back of your car even if it's just to put the fear of god into him). The other main problem I had with London's policing system is how Gynocentric it is. I really didn't notice how bad it actually was until I transferred to another force further south when my daughter was born and me and my wife wanted to get out of London (I've since transferred again, further west, but for obvious reasons can't give away too much on this site). Your experience may be a bit different as I haven't been policing in London for years now, but back when I was doing it it was always women that got promotions, and there was this weird cliquey kind of thing going on in the upper levels that a lot of us referred to as "the coven". Policing meets HR, I guess.

If you're considering staying in London long term, do taser/firearms training ASAP. Shit's dangerous now, and carrying a nice semi auto rifle really helps balance out the playing field in the event of a truck/machete of peace attack. Also you get paid a lot more, and even the most uppity of arabs just walk by with their hands in their pockets.

Godspeed, user.

In Canada Police start at around 60k a year. But it's mad hard to get into, at least in my city. Last class had over 1000 applicants and only 30 were selected.

Training to be a welder

I work in IT and want to kill myself. Nothing worse than trying to appease a building full of retards 5 days/week. The worst part is that our department has no official service policies or guidelines so we're basically fucking slaves.

Time is never running out to go back to school. The hard part is knowing what to go back for.

Software, Pacific Northwest. Company is Veeky Forums friendly. Pays for my gym, standing desk, kitchen packed with healthy snacks and drinks...Work from home whenever I feel like it. It's a good time, pays well enough

I was a full neet for the past 2 years.
I started lifting 1.5 years ago, girlfriend was very supportive, she payed for everything, the gym new clothes for job hunting and the beer.
Today i went to meet my new coworkers.
In the past 3 days ive been doing the rounds in the new condo, cleaning moppin buying shit etc.
Ill be moving in this sunday.
Ill be starting my new job at an international architecture firm this monday.
Shes the best thing i have in my life.

I’m doing CS at uni and currently looking for a placement for next year any advice for what type of companies I should aim for ?

anyone here in the Australian army? I'm thinking about it, but idk what it's going to be like

Me, i can tell you its not good over here.

Why? what job do you do?

It's the Australian military. Last I checked they just follow around Japanese whaling boats to protect the fish.

Is it anything like The IT Crowd?

I'm conflicted about pursuing a career in either marketing or academics
academics being in the field of social psychology, e.g. social influence, decision making, behavioral economics and the likes
got a couple of phd opportunities, but I really like the company I'm working for atm
on the other hand, being a researcher is way more like working freelance, and I can work out more often

>Peak Veeky Forums career Orthopaedics
>Not Urology
>Literally a speciality dedicated to penis but no homo

Final year medical student strongly considering Urology. Pays well, cushy operations and doesn't seem like you get many emergencies.

That's only £34K, and that kind of selectiveness just doesn't seem worth it really. Over here nobody really wants to be a police officer, partly because of all the bad press, and partly because everyone seems to think it'll always be like being a police officer in London (which I wouldn't recommend, but you do get paid more. It's just really poor conditions).

How is it? I think underwater welding is dopest

>work as urologist
>fat guy comes in on reinforced wheelchair
>have to wade through mounds of flab just to get to his dick
>smells like it hasn't been washed, ever
>pungent aromas of cheese and vinegar assault your senses and make your eyes run
>have to try and keep a straight face when you ask if he's sexually active

nah son, you're alright

Currently training to be a teacher. Done construction for a year after school but absolutely hated it. Going to very comfy.

Not at all, except for the part where the non-it staff literally don't know how to restart computers and other devices. The number of times I've had these people tell me that their devices aren't working when they're powered off or not plugged in in astounding.

pls respond

>I work at BMW
>boo hoo everything is warranty
>they pay 1$/hour more than poor man brands
So they never explained how flat rate works in school huh kid?

Working in the Naval Reserves while finishing Community College
Will probably enlist full time next year since I still haven't figured out what to major in.

If I get fit enough I'll probably join the Tactical Team

anyone here a physical therapist? any tips or anything? I'm currently studying to major in kin and then become PT

In the infantry for the past 5 years and trying out for military search and rescue.

>BADLY want to be electrician, HVAC, carpenter, anything trade related
>Z E R O trade schools even near me
>no companies willing to train
>all there is is fucking college courses that don't give hands on experience
>only current hope is flatbed trucking, but fuck that
Fuck me

29, looking to go back to school for something since I'm tired of doing whatever random shitty job lands in my lap making $10/hour.

Decided on either civil engineering or mechanical engineering. Community college is all just core classes anyways. I'll decide which one before I transfer to big boy school.

Private investigator. Still trying to figure out if I love my job or hate my job.

You have literally the job every proper /pol/lack dreams of. Be proud

I know but sometimes it's so fucking unrewarding I feel like bashing my head against a wall.

>no driver's license
>no phone number
>no apartment number
>lol well we know he lives in this building and he's black go find him user shouldn't be hard

> What do you guys work as
Infantryman in the US Army
> Is it Veeky Forums
No. Endurance =/= size and strength
It's more of a pain in the ass than anything, when you start gaining you go train for a long ass time and lose gains.

>mfw he's more sexually active than i am

>Government Intelligence & Security Consultant

>Ex-SoF Shooter, 11B Equivalent in my nations' Army
>Degree in Business
>Worked as Data Analyst prior to Government position

>Circulation Clerk
I am a dude and I work with a bunch of older women and some younger ones too. They are very happy I can wheel heavy carts of books for them, and I don't mind. Got invited over for a holiday party and everyone is friendly. If I get an MLS I wouldnt mind working there

Same, just got hired and start Monday, still not that good at it though
Pays well but the hours will kill me, start at 6am, gonna see if I can come in at 7 though

I am, it's not bad. I've worked outpatient, peds, acute, and currently at a nursing home. It's a good 9 to 5, stay active, fix your own shit when you hurt yourself lifting stuff, decent pay. The headaches are dealing with insurance, scum bosses that just wanna milk you for billing, and trying to educate non-receptive patients.

Merchant.

Im in swfl, sarasota. Id be willing to take you up on this if youre still looking.

Depends a lot on the job you do and where you get sent. It pay is ok and once you are through basic training you are more or less a normal person.

Strategy consulting

Listen young anons, fuck college. Go into construction. If you want to go above and beyond take night classes in project management. I got an internship with a construction company project manager my junior year of college. Got offered a full time position and dropped out to take it. I now make 6 figures a year without a degree in a field with absolutely no commie politics that keeps me fit. You have to be willing to move, I am finishing my 5th year in Maryland in January and then am being sent to Houston to oversee a project. All the Boomers are retiring and dying off, and young people are not coming into the construction industry. We are desperate for young guys with half a brain willing to bust their asses and get shit done. Start off on a crew, and if you show initiative and aren't lazy you will be running a crew within a year. Get a project manager cert online or at a community college after that and you will move up very fucking quickly. I am only 24 and am positioned to be in charge of all East Coast operations of a mid level construction company by the time I'm 40. You can literally become a millionaire. It isn't an easy job, you have to understand every aspect of the construction job so you know when your team leaders are bullshitting you. You will have to fire a lot of people. Even people you like. Even people you know their families and shit. But that's the job. Go into construction anons, we need fit Bros who are willing to work hard.

From what im told and seen the academic social psychology field is basically a meme factory filled with all the little kiddies (mainly women) who failed to get into a graduate or honors programs after completing their bachelors degree. I would avoid it user. If you're really keen and interested in studying it (I am atm) i can only suggest that work towards becoming a clinical psychologist and then do research work through a PHD program.

You could go straight into research but it's super competitive and you will be forced to compete against the already established top tier researchers and other students who've been practising on the outside for a number of years.

Plus the money in research is very low when compared to the hours you put in. Imagine 7am-5pm on campus doing write ups and studying and then spending your spare time at night time on preparing for the next day.

(me)
But honestly man do what makes you happy. The field of psychology can be incredibly rewarding if your willing to put the effort in and if you can survive the first 3 years of crap bloated study loads where you dont really learn anything.

HVAC, depending on the area is GOAT.

Should be easy to find a 1 year trade school to get your foot in the door.

AMA if have any questions

same here, good on you!
co workers are mostly fit, Some of them are from Texas, working in bay area california. Used to work with a bunch of san francisco cucks, but new place is way cooler.

>fuck college go into a physically demanding job that pays like shit proportional to the work done and destroys your body and lungs

(((who))) could be behind this post

I'm an aviation mechanic in the USMC.

It's not bad and I get to live in Hawaii, but I'm trying to finish my degree and commission as an officer.

This user sits at his computer and has a hunch worse than that faggot from notre dame. The healthiest jobs are ones where you get to move around all day. And youre a retard if you cant make good money off of being an electrician or an HVAC guy.

I just phoned in sick to work because I've got the flu and my boos just accused me of lying, is that allowed?

I'm a bouncer at a bar. It's an easy gig 90% is just standing around looking tough and the pay isn't too bad.

you gotta get a dr.s cert now

Started my own company, it's going so much better than I could possibly have ever hoped for

Find a gap and, if possible, jump on it.
