Is Almond Milk good for gains? Or is it Soy tier?
Is Almond Milk good for gains? Or is it Soy tier?
Garbage, unless you're lactose intolerant. Shit's like 80 calories for a cup with hardly any fucking protein AT ALL.
Drink milk fgt
yeah lactose intolerant here
>He doesn't drink milk of the jaguar patrolling the largest territory
Oh geez
>Drinking liquid cholesterol, saturated fat, and estrogen causing hormones.
There are plenty of healthier foods to get protein and calcium from good choice op.
it's expensive for the nutrients you get, but other than that, it's good
>estrogen causing hormones
Can’t comment, got a source?
>cholesterol and sat fat
Not a problem

Think of it this way: An estrogen molecule is like a jumbo jet that attaches to the Jetway of an airport. It discharges passengers into the terminal, which is suddenly a busy, noisy place. Phytoestrogens, being weak estrogens, are like small, private planes with few passengers and no cargo, yet they still occupy the Jetway after landing. When phytoestrogens occupy the cell, normal estrogens cannot. Plant estrogens do not eliminate all of estrogen's effects, but they do minimize them, apparently reducing breast cancer risk and menstrual symptoms

good for gains? probably not as its 90% water. But as a sub for dairy milk it works great, just get protein elsewhere and you'll be fine
Almonds are a huge source of estrogen
...
Get he unsweetened kind and it’s a good milk substitute. Or coconut milk. No reason to drink it by itself but I use it for protein shakes
If activated, yes
what about skim milk ?
Where is the source?
better off not drinking milk altogether
:( , normal milk makes me sick feelsbadman , never be able to drink milk like papa rippetoe
No it's not you faggot.
honestly just buy unsweetened almond milk and you'll be fine. get the protein from dietary sources, you want to minimise liquid calories anyway (lack of nutrition)...i have unsweetened almond milk and it's fine, taste is noticeably different but it's not awful. it's one of the sacrifices you have to make to be healthy
Dolphin milk is high is phytohytobytestosterone.
Also bery rare and hard to aquire
I drink it when on keto cause at least it's not water
Almonds contain phytoestrogens, yes, but not all phytoestrogens are created equally.
The Phytoestrogens in Soy act as estrogens, in place of estrogens, but can have hormonal effects when the sugar is removed (through processing or fermentation...miso). Apparently only a small percentage of people will see hormonal differences from eating soy even when fermented.
Flax is similar but has an anti-estrogen property where it takes the place of estrogens and might cause the body to produce less which makes it bad for women..or good, depending on the point in life.
I have a tablespoon of ground flax in every breakfast I make because of its effects on arteries. Lignans, man.
It's not milk, it's crushed almonds mixed with water and sugar. You're not even getting the nutrients of the whole almond
but soy is good too.. did you perhaps fall for a meme?
Source or gtfo
It's just a substitute for milk if you can't drink it, for acne or intolerance etc
a couple of brands have started tossing pea protein into almond milk to even it out. shits dope
What about coconut milk?
yea i love milk but unless you're trying to gain weight, don't drink it
Explain
>TWS-i8s
Less calories probably. If you want to gain weight then drink whole milk if you can.
