I hate it when /fph/ goes more political than it has to, but there's something that's bugging me. I live in a shithole destroyed by decades of socialism where outright communism is supported and there are legal parties championing it. These parties use outrage to stay afloat, attacking "the Bosses/Man/Rich" and later "fascism" strawmen. The voters and the more fanatical followers think a lot like the fatties ridiculed here. They are lazy (working just enough to fuel their lifestyle), wasterels (put their money to recreational use soon after they've aquired it), they don't try to improve their situation (pursue higher education), they are allergic to self-responsibility (blaming their situation on imaginary enemies, much like fatties do with genetics and the beauty industry), they are hypocrites (condemning capitalism with a burger in hand, cable at home, and wearing imported brands) and perform mental gymnastics (we're fighting against fascism so if you're not with us then you're a fascist).
These supporters are not obese for the most part. In fact plenty are skinny, and back in our parents' generation they were somewhat fit and masculine by today's standards.

So while obesity causes some very severe changes in our body chemistry and mindset, I'm more and more convinced that obesity is a sympton of the kind of entitlement we hate here instead of a cause or inseparable trait. And while leftism is benefiting from it and cultivating it, it's not the single or initial source of it.
What is the source? How do we kill it? I'm not sure a masculine mindset or the reality of hard work help, since the first people who bought into the entitled grievance rhetoric were breaking their backs in factories or had an agricultural background, and were rugged.
