For me, I need to commute for 1.5 to 2 hours one way for work, and if I'm not out the door by 5 AM at the lastest, then I have no hope of getting to work on time.

I use the extra time for the gym. It's insane, but it works for me.

Find someone or something inspires you to become a better human, accept your flaws, even find a realistic goal physique within a certain time frame, "within 4 months, i wish to look like this, and then 4 months after that i should've achieved so and so"
Make a good schedule for your week, it really helps out having the schedule in front of you and acknowledging the fact that it's an obligation, and not something you can take with a grain of salt.
Do a diet setup to make sure you hit your surplus, do meal preps for all 7 days (smart as fuck) in the week if you don't have approx an hr total a day for cooking.
this is also a great way to know you hit your calories.

For me waking up and going to the gym is the easiest part of the day. I have a clear plan and clear schedule. Its the afternoon that fucks me. I get home tired and hungry and more often than not I eat something stupid, which I regret the instant I'm done.
I've also tried meditating, but even though it is just 15 minutes and I feel way better after I'm done I have hard time convinsing myself at evening to start that 15 minutes.

It's simple, but that doesn't mean it's easy.

I believe discipline is a learned skill and method of thinking and it took years to develop mine. And once you have it you need to maintain it, just like your lifts. The way I learned it was by trying and failing, either in weeks or in years, to lift consistently, and always getting back on the wagon. Hammer away and keep trying. Don't even have to succeed to build discipline, merely a strong intention to do something can be a first step, as long as you keep advancing to new things. Maybe I'm not explaining it too well but that's my answer

The best way of building discipline is just trying and failing over and over again. Say I am gonna do _____ and do it and if you fail, try again. Repeat till you stick with it or die.

It's all about wants. When you wake and you think "fuck, I need to go back to sleep," just think about wanting to be more disciplined. It's all about what you really want. At that point, you'll want to get out of bed, unless you didn't really want to be more disciplined in the first place.

I think you just have to want to go. I like going to the gym, I enjoy improving myself, and I think you need to get over the mental hurdle that the gym is some boring, menial task you "have" to do to look good. Then again I always enjoyed sports and shit and was sad when school ended mostly because I didn't have any place to do activities anymore. So I started going to the gym and never stopped.

Basically, just give yourself a condition and stick to it unless you have something in the way. And that has to really really be in the way, like going to a friends and not coming back until after it's like 11pm.
