Pretty much this. My girlfriends homosexual friend can make my hair look perfect. I however don't give a shit what my hair looks like so only let him do it for weddings or other events.

I have thin, silky, but incredibly dense hair. Would volumizing conditioner do anything for me, is it for thick haired people only?

I use some pomade every once in a while, but the key is to let the hair do its thing overnight, then apply a small amount of pomade to the front of your hair.

If you don't have an entire night, you can use a hairdryer after getting out of the shower, it will have a similar effect.

I think having hair like this is the answer. It might not look quite as sexy, but it still looks damn good and it only takes 10% of the time to manage.

If you truly have thick wavy hair like you say, short on the sides and l longer on the top will look great on you. It's the haircut that matters.

i dont think that hairstyle is practical.
you have to style it every day and humidity probably fucks it up.

Serious answer, pomade while it's still slightly wet

that is only valid if your hair is long and/or curly. If you have a long hair (something longer than 5 inches) and wash it everyday, you strip your hair of its natural oil, and the endings of the hairs don't get those oils, because the longer it is, the longer it takes for the oil in your scalp to spread to all your hair. Combing it is a good way to make sure your hair get those oils but you shouldn't worry if your hair is not that long.
