Is leg press a good replacement for squats?

Is leg press a good replacement for squats?

No.

And it's dependant on your goals. I have friends who do bodybuilding who never do squats and have great leg development, but for an athlete, powerliftwr, strongman, they are completely necessary. I also feel like it's less stress on my knees as a leg press

Why would you want to change squats for legpress?

Not even remotely, not even if you're a bodybuilder.

Once you become an advanced bodybuilder, you can cut out squats for focused development movements like the leg press, but until you get big and strong, you need to do your squats.
