This quite often actually, it's one of my favorite albums of all time
Nothing. When I go to gym I'm gonna workout, not listen some unnecessary noise. Focus on your shit and do your lifts. Go home and listen when you relax.
Autism
EDM
The shitty modern kind too.
I download DJ sets or podcasts. I like it because the tracks are mixed into one another so it's a continuous beat for 1-2 hours keeping me pumped up. I don't like pauses between tracks while at the gym, what if it happens right when I'm on my last rep?
I actually read a scientific article (citing actual peer reviewed studies, not buzzfeed) a few months ago how it's proven music improves physical endurance. The rule of thumb was to match the BPM and your heart rate.
If you can't focus 90min to do something important without music you have a problem
There are a lot of things I could do that I choose not to do.
It was about cardio wasn't it?
Probably yeah but a physical activity is a physical activity. I can see if I'll find that issue lying somewhere.
I can easily do so, I never used to bring my headphones, and I'll sometimes be there for longer than 90 minutes. It's almost like listening to something that gets me pumped up or energized at the gym is a thing
if you can't enjoy music while listening you're a faggot. you're not cool or original.
Yeah the original source they're citing was The Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, doesn't say which issue but 2015. And their test method was a 5 mile run.
Interesting bit is that relaxing music right after physical performance was also found to improve recovery. It should trigger vagus nerve to tell the brain that the "danger" is over.
They also mention that endorfin release is increased by listening to music and that endorfin affects both endurance and strenght output.
This unironically

>be me
> go to the gym with two Sony Walkman cassette players, one in each pocket
> one earphone from each walkman goes into each ear
> in one ear, I listen to harsh noise
> in the other, I listen to a 3 hour compilation of motivational speeches that I have edited together
> using this method with creatine has allowed me to bring out the most of my gains with a near constant focus
> I can bench 65 pounds for 5X5
> fuck with me, I dare you
Party.

music is bad for your soul, Buddhist monks aren't allowed to dance or listen to music and you shouldn't either user
nice reasoning, autist
am i the only one who doesnt listen to music solely for the fact that it feels like it ways me down? i feel much more agile without a cord bouncing up and around and something stuck in my ears. plus it removes one of your senses

I play this on loop for 2 hours
Sometimes
I'm currently autismally carving hi-quality, LUFS-adjusted opus files (160 kbps) from 192kHz 32-bit depth sources of picture related (it's the /mu/ meme of the moment and surprisingly enough, it's not shit as 99% of /mu/core)
When I'm not listening to a specific album, I don't like to listen to bloody vikings screaming, black metal and similar edgy faggotries. I either prefer simple numbing house music or some selected playlist or again girls moaning on top of house tracks (cockhero sountracks and the like)
I have a playlist that I keep adding songs from time to time, it's mostly metal since for some reason it makes heavy compounds movements easier to do
