I'm one of those people that doesn't get enough omega-3's in their diet. I ran out of fish oil, but kept taking all other supplements, so fish oil was the control variable. I do bjj, and about 2 weeks of no fish oil, my joints started feeling like absolute shit after practice, joint pain that I'd never felt from bjj despite the fact that I was tapping early for everything due to an unrelated injury. I start taking the fish oil, and bam, a week later, rolling with joint pain after practice. So...anecdotally, it works.
