Not enough salt in your system.
Get more salt.
If your salt has a 50/50 ratio like nosalt, put 1-2tsp (TEASPOONS) into 1.5l bottle and drink it like water.
Stay at home that day, to make sure the amount of salt doesn't cause diarrhea while you are outside.

I tried water fasting with snake juice made it 40 hours in, that's a record for me. What can I do to make it? I want to go for a 30 day extended water fast, preferably even longer.

A few things to note; I didn't exercise besides going for a short and light walk for 30 minutes. I drank probably half a liter of snake juice on the first day and then maybe under a liter the next day, when I quit.

My snake juice probably wasn't the best I used filtered water plus a teaspoon (not a measuring spoon) of lite salt which is like a mix of potassium chloride and table salt (28g potassium chloride and 18g sodium chloride per 100g). Plus I drank over a liter and half of regular tap water and mineral water.

Cole has said drinking too much causes dehydration and the excretion of electrolytes which then ramps up hunger. Am I only supposed to drink snake juice, and at least 1.5 to 2 liters at that?

I understand his point about dehydration, but I don't agree with it. You should drink a level of water whereby the urine you are pissing is straw yellow in colour.

You don't want to drink so much that your urine is essentially colourless, nor too little so that you're urine is orange or (god help us) brown.

Another key aspect of hydration is whether the urine is clear or not. If it is cloudy or has floating particulates then you need to hydrate more.

I'm as guilty of under-hydrating as anyone. My piss this morning was the colour of tea and cloudy with particulates, so I'm forcing myself to drink an extra 2 litres today.

It's fucking hard to be honest drinking so much, but my urine is telling me that I need to.

are you drinking snake juice? if so lower the salt content, or the potassium content. try salt first, and drink your snake juice in smaller amounts (i.e. 1 glass rather than 3)

dry fasting is pointless, its what fat fucks do so they feel good about losing a lot of weight in a short period of time, not realizing that they mostly lost waterweight only

you're body breaks down body fat, which is saturated fat, into hydrogen and uses the oxygen that you breath in to create water. It is really effective in healing a number of problems, especially skin issues like ecezema, loose skin, etc..

Dry fasting has its place and indeed I can see myself using dry fasting during the end stage of my weight loss regime to get rid of the hard-to-shift last bits of fat.

The problem with dry fasting is that you need to be careful with it and avoid doing periods of more than 48hrs in one go, so doing a week of Mon, Tue fasting, then Wed as a maintenance day when you replenish, then Thu, Fri and repeat is probably manageable.

People have dry fasted for longer, but I personally don't think it's a good idea.

My schedule is restricted by a Monday evening social event that I attend, so the maximum time that I fast is limited to that (i.e. 165hrs from the end of that event to the start of the next one a week later).

I've been doing this for a while not, not sure what my accumulated fasting has been as I've only been keeping detailed records on fasting since 26th January.

Probably accumulates to 50 or 60 days thus far though I would think.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea (potentially fatal), hypertension (high blood pressure), pre-Type II diabetes and I snored like thunder.

Losing the weight I have done so far has cured each and every one of them in turn. I used to have to use a PAP machine at night and measured my snoring using the Snorelab application on my Android device, which can detect both snoring and sleep apnoea attacks.

I was able to give up the PAP machine in early January as I no longer had sleep apnoea attacks and although I still monitor my snoring every night with Snorelab, I no longer snore and haven't since the middle-to-end of January 2018.

I'm scheduled to see my doctor in a couple of weeks for a checkup where we will see if my hypertension has been cured (it was only mild at best), but I suspect it has.

On March 14th I have an appointment at the sleep clinic to get weighed and measured at which point I will hand back the PAP machine.

Those will be good days. There have been a lot of them on my fasting journey so far.

I might even extend my weight loss down to 57KG, which would mean I'd lost 50% of my body weight. Before I start building strength again.

Most of my motivation is to be fit again, not fat like I was. That has been more than motivation enough.

Difficult to say as it varies widely from small weight gains, periods of stagnation* and massive weight losses (over a kilogram on some days).

* - I sat at 94.6 KG for 4 days recently, despite being in deep ketosis and in full fasting mode. I still can't figure out how that works.

My average weight loss is about 2.9 kilograms (about 6.4lbs) per week, but as I say it fluctuates widely.

The key thing is that the week-on-week trend is always downwards, regardless of the rate. I'm not that concerned with how long it takes me to reach my target (although obviously the sooner the better), just so long as I have a method of actually reaching that target.

My approach is snake juice from day 4 onward plus 1.5-2 litres of water.

If piss starts turning too orange (or brown!) then drink more water.

If you are hydrating correctly then your urine should be clear and a pale straw colour (see attached photo).

My urine this morning was cloudy with particulates and deep orange, so I forced myself to drink an additional 2 litres of water.

The results at about 7PM was the correct balance (clear and straw yellow)

Your body has no mechanism to store the energy in alcohol, so you will metabolize the calories in alcohol first.

While your body is metabolizing alcohol, it is NOT metabolizing fat.

Consuming alcohol will not knock you out of ketosis completely, but it will delay the results.

Just don't go mad. Ideally drink a glass of water between each glass of liquor.

taking your medicine all at once seems to work better for me. i put a tablespoon of yogurt on my tongue which i've folded the salt into and then swallow it with a gallon or so of water. it tastes really bad for about 5 seconds instead of iffy for 5 minutes of total drinking time. makes me feel less like throwing up, too,

Every time I fast longer than 16 hours my legs especially my calves feel weird
It's some sort of tingling feeling and it feels like there's some bugs in my calves that are running around and trying to escape
I take magnesium supps and I also drink 2 gallons of water a day and mix in a teaspoon of pink salt

I can't do more than one day of dry fasting at a time. I did 35 hours the other day and my gums started bleeding, my mouth was covered in some sort of white sludge, I got excruciating cramps everywhere, it was terrible. Some people just need more water, I sweat all the time when I'm not fasting. Even now I'm probably releasing way more water than the average person without realizing it.

It's another week before the Orthodox start Lent. We still use the Julian calendar to mark Lent and Pascha, in use from Christ's time, without the recent changes of the last few centuries.

Most modern Latins don't fast anymore, their body removed most of the rules back in the 50s and 60s. See for this. They basically neutered all of their traditions.

For the sedevacantists and sspx that still do, the traditional Western fasting rules are mostly limiting portion sizes and abstinence from meat, but leaving dairy and eggs, so any lacto-ovo-vegetarian recipes are good.

The Eastern Rite Orthodox have stricter abstinence rules, but anything vegan and anything shellfish-related that doesn't have meat or dairy will be good. Western Rite Orthodox follow traditional fasting rules that are essentially the same as the sspx etc.

Dry fasting is particularly arduous, so you probably shouldn't do more than 48 hours at a stretch.

Better to do a 48 hour dry fast, then a day of maintenance to rehydrate and then another 48 hour dry fast.

Rinse and repeat until you achieve the results you are looking for.

essentially you dry fast from sun rise till sun fall.
and lose precious sleep that needs to be get swiftly by going to bed at least 9:30pm.
