So i went to my doctor yesterday and she told me that im eating too many eggs

So i went to my doctor yesterday and she told me that im eating too many eggs.

She said everyone (not just me) should eat 3 eggs maximum per week.

I eat 4 eggs for breakfast after my morning workout and I don't want to stop eating them is it really too much? If isn't healty can you guys share a new way to eat protein in my breakfast?

BS doctor. Never trust a woman

doctors are still learning from textbooks from the 80's.. the average doctors opinion on saturated fat and dietary cholesterol is literally wrong. don't worry about it.

>this
she's obviously a gains goblin

>I know better than a healthcare professional also DAE womyn xD
Listen to your doctor opie

>she

Girls cannot be doctors, That was your nurse.

> listening to someone blindly just because theyre a doctor

literally 10 seconds of googling and you can see that every single piece of research on the matter in the past decade shows she is wrong

You're as dumb as your woman doctor for going to a woman doctor. Did you even get blood work and see your LDL and HGL levels? Are you taking the finest kirkland signatures fish oil?

State to me what you think doctors believe that you think is wrong, specifically

The food pyramid scheme

Dumb, blind ship who follows every single word as long as its spewed by an authority figure, cant do his research on his own in the era of unlimited information and comminication. Moronic scum. Majority of doctors dont know shit about nutrition.

What about the food pyramid do you think is wrong

Give me a specific example of what doctors believe you think is wrong

I eat at least 2 dozen eggs a week, the only time I've ever had issues with cholesterol was when I was taking arimidex on cycle

>specific example of what doctors belive that you think is wrong
eating more than three eggs a week is bad for you

The food pyramid is literally upside down

No they don't but the doctors currently in practice that are like 40-60 years old learned from those textbooks which is why a lot of them are behind in knowledge that is not directly related to their specialty.

One thing I will say about doctors is they aren't living Gods, they're just people that stayed in school longer than average. And unless it's a nutritionist, their knowledge on food is very limited. My ex's sister is a doctor and I asked her how much they study nutrition during the 7 or so university years it takes to become a doctor; the answer was 2-3 days

I've had bad acne when I was young and saw several dermatologists. Not a SINGLE ONE asked me about my diet, while us Veeky Forumsizen are all aware dairy and processed garbage food will give us more pimples

>eat 3 eggs maximum
>per week

Good god, what a load of horseshit.

You think cake and candy are more nutritious than oats and vegetables?

Doctors, not 'a' doctor; as in generally universally held beliefs. Do you think dietary cholesterol doesn't impact serum cholesterol no matter the amount?

>carbohydrates should make up the majority of your diet.
>fats oils and sweets are all in one category together

food pyramid should be Proteins, animal carcasses-bottom
veggies/fats-middle
carbohydrates-top

>Carbs make you fat!
>Fats increase your test!
This board is now a combo of momscinece and artofmanliness.

>She's a doctor
>She studied lots of textbooks years ago
>She managed to memorize most of it
>She succeeded the tests
Nothing in (most) modern education require you to understand anything. It only requires you to repeat.
After her degree she can move on to Scientology and learn how to cure Teutons if she wants. One authorotive voice telling her the truth vs another. She's happy to repeat.

You should do what you do when user tells you odd things. You should ask for her source and read the papers she referencing. I'm pretty sure she's just echoing what someone with authorotive voice told her.

You can try it on an individual basis and dermatologist should have suggested that at some point but the fact is in not any large meta analysis studies is the direct relationship between diet and acne proven which is why it is not standard care.

Vegetables have carbohydrates in non-negligible amounts for certain ones. Why do you think carbohydrates from whole foods are bad for you?

You think olive oil and hershey bars are completely equal in value of nutrition?

did you have any blood work done? did you bring up how many eggs you eat after she told you that you have incredibly high cholesterol or some other abnormality? if not I'd keep eating eggs desu

>Food pyramid is literally upside down
I'm not the one putting Hershey bars above olives and avocados in my food pyramid

im not saying theyre bad for you, im just saying they shouldnt be the majority of your diet, triple the servings of protein you eat like the pyramid says

Why do you think they should be limited if carbs comprise a large part of all top-level athlete's diets?

>eating cholesterol is bad
You're moving the goalpost with "no matter the amount". Drinking large amounts of pure distilled water can kill you, yet it's very important.

If you eat a healthy amount of kcal, it doesn't matter if the food you chose is very high in cholesterol.
In the long run your liver will have no problem in adapting the amounts you eat and regulate the amount in your blood accordingly. Cholesterol is made by the liver, not pushed through from the intestines.

someone else said it was upside down not me, sugar should be cut out or have their own category (simple carbohydrates) what i was saying is that fats and oils should have their own category as well(lipids)

You're right, the liver does downregulate cholesterol production in the presence of cholesterol, but what do you think happens if you ingest more cholesterol than your liver can produce?

you mean cardio skellys eat a ton of carbs. the mountain eats more protein than carbs

Because the average person isn't a top level athlete and shouldn't eat like one.

michael phelps eats 20,000 kcal a day and he looks fit as fuck i should eat like that too.

imagine being this retarded

So you think that a person that lifts on a regular basis should severely restrict carbohydrates?

How much fat do you think people should ingest daily?

No he fucking doesn't

I don't recall saying you should eat as many calories as a top level athlete, just said that carbs shouldn't be restricted for any individual within their own caloric needs

depends on the type of fat.
Monounsaturated alot
Polyunsaturated medium
Saturated a little
Trans fats, like the people , should be eliminate completely

Why do you place monounsaturated fats above polyunsaturated fats?

avocados, thats about it.

doctors dont know shit about food. they have not studied food health for even a minute.

>Why do you place monounsaturated fats above polyunsaturated fats?
>Avocados
That clears it up thanks

yumm

Don't forget your helmet before leaving the house buddy stay safe

i cant believe people still advocate eating carbs. yes they are tasty and i eat them too sometimes. but your body doesnt need even a gram of carbs to survive.

and yes root vegetables contain carbs but they include plenty of other stuff that bread doesnt have.

>Do you think dietary cholesterol doesn't impact serum cholesterol no matter the amount?
it doesnt. google it.

Your doctor was right.

I did the research like a couple of years ago. Spent hours sifting through old articles with a lot of fake news and a few reliable studies.

A couple eggs a week improves health and decreases the risk of dying from certain ailments significantly.

If your eating am egg a day or more it causes other problems.

Eggs are good. But it's 100% true what they say: everything in moderation. Hell you can even get water intoxication.

Personally I don't find moderation fun but it's necessary. It's good to self moderate and have self control. Realize there's a limit to everything and while you can push some limits (like how much you can lift) you should do so gradually and carefully to avoid lasting damage.

This is not true try a couple of hours of research and look at which studies are funded by egg companies/private research. There is new studies, an egg a day increases the risk of some diseased.

I eat 0-5 eggs a day, prolly average around 2. Overall diet is full of veggies and lean meats. Regular physicals, alI good(Inc. Cholesterol). run 5k every morning except for Saturday where I do a 7 mile route and Sunday rest day. Weights 3.5x a week. So I can only say anecdotally that so long as you are doing decent amounts of exercise, with a healthy diet eggs are fine

technically, you can get BROCCOLI POWDER intoxication, at 5000mg/kg

oops i read that wrong. confirmation bias effect i guess as i was looking up the ld50 for broccoli. guess its not toxic at 5000mg/kg. be sure todrink your ovaltine kids

>If your eating am egg a day or more it causes other problems.

I've been eating 4-5 eggs every single day for the past year. Recently got my blood work done and I'm healthy with no deficiencies and no abnormal values. Also I've been feeling more energized than ever, eggs in the morning are a really great way to start your day. If there's one true superfood, it's eggs.

Listen to a bunch of doctors who did their schoolwork 10-20 years ago and didn't specialize in nutrition probably isn't in your best interest. Most of them have no clue and still demonize fats and salt.

Not only are you completely wrong, but you have the gall to correct people on subjects you know literally nothing about.

Physicians are not scientists; they're medical technicians. If they don't keep up with current research they're more of a hazard than a help.

They're only good for getting referrals to specialists and getting prescriptions for antiviral or antibiotic drugs.

Shit I eat 2 eggs a day in my salad and then 5-6 for dinner. Guess I'll see a doctor sometime soon but not tell them about the eggs and just see if anything comes up.

Remember to fast before you get bloodwork done, then they won't freak out about cholesterol.

i eat four a day get on my level

a quick google will show you that you can go mental eating eggs, don't fret

Why do you guys even argue about food and not just copy the diets of people in Japan who live to be 100+ eating just rice n shit

Nigger I've eaten egg sammiches almost every morning for the last like 15 years. She's full of shit.

>My doctor
>she
Comment disregarded. Get a doctor who actually keeps up with dietary literature.

lmao

japanese people can fuck off back to china

Don’t take a GPs advice on nutrition. Go to a nutrition expert.
Doctors learnt outdated medicine and nutrition is the fastest changing field, which they don’t have time to keep up with between all the retards like you who go in complaining you think you have low T and the old people who think the common cold is the end.
I repeat: Nutrition experts for nutrition advice.

That's also only the LD in a mouse, not a human.

>tfw big egg cucks your diet

>muh cholesterol

I eat 6-7 scrambled eggs a day for breakfast, and 2 hard boiled on my salad for lunch every single day for the last 12 years. And various other eggs on top of that as snacks, deviled eggs, and egg salad sammies. (We have 33 chickens)

Last time I got a cholesterol test my total cholesterol was 160 and my HDL was 68.

Because im not from a subtropical southern japanese island. My snownigger ancestors werent eating carbs 10 months out of the year like some asian or african

What does that matter? Centenarians around the world eat similar foods.

Also
>africans
>living to 100

>this post
>also authorotive (sic)
not a doctor but I hate faggots like these who presume they know more than you, the professional.

The food pyramid you grew up with was created by the United States Department of Agriculture

This guy is giving out advice anonymously everywhere on this board

The Gains Goblin(I.e. the left hand of Lucifer) can appear in many forms my child. Train yourself spiritually as well as physically through the Lord and he will teach you to recognize evil.

Tell your doctor she's not a dietician or nutritionist.

>doctor knows better

Remember fag a doctor is not a nutriotionist and specialisation among medicine is a thing for a reason.

Sounds like your doctor fell for the memes

This is not fucking true. Stop taking health advice from blogs and listen to actual professionals. Eggs are truly really fucking bad for your cholesterol. I am saying this as someone who eats 5 eggs a day.

You need to be fucking insane to eat more protein than carbs as a natty.

why are you doing something that you say is bad for you then?

Remember vegans will post in this thread

Because I am young and lean. Doctors will try to make you live optimally. I do think you can get away with a high intake of saturated fat and cholesterol if your diet is rich in plant foods, you are physically active, not old, and have no family history of heart disease. But it is lunacy to claim that eggs don't bother your cholesterol.

I had a doctor insist to me that "acne has absolutely nothing to do with diet" when I was a teenager (meanwhile I was eating fast food several times a week) and gave me some fucking cream that you had to wear overnight that literally bleached my pillowcases.

In fact almost my whole life I've never gotten anything useful out of my doctor, he just throws meds at me without even looking into things.

Doctors are full of shit.

Your (((doctor))) is trying to steal your gains

Almost all of the oldest living people in the world eat eggs or bacon or both daily. Many of them still drink and smoke. A lot of them claim to have "never really been into exercising" others did it every day (some even still).

Eating fucking grains is not associated with longevity.

WHO FUCKING CARES. THIS ISN'T THE HOW TO MAKE IT TO YOUR FORTIES BOARD. THIS IS THE DIE AT 30 WITH YOUR DICK BURIED INTO LIFE'S ASSHOLE board

Im a doc and I tell u eggs are great but eat garlic to lower chol if its high if its not fuck it eat some more eggs.
ma man

looks like you got mom-scienced broseph.

Also, the omelette in the OP looks garbage tier tee-bee-h

hahahaha

33 is good year for the greats Like Jesus and Bruce Lee

Those are genetic freaks. If you live into 120 then your secret is clearly not your diet. The longest living populations eat very little animal products.

>some chinks eat sweet potatoes and live long
>sweet potatoes have carbs (ignore all the micronutrients)
>therefore carbs=good

Nope, grandad ate fried eggs and bacon every morning for 40 years while he was welding

Literally no one claimed that

yeah you were just saying carbs were good dont try to cover up your retarded arguments

Who has the post where one user ate 36 eggs a day

>she
opinion discarded

Don't listen to her

Obviously having a diet rich in things such as sweet potatoes will increase your longevity, but their extreme longevity is in part owed to the lack of animal foods in their diet. Animal foods and animal proteins induce growth. Growth, in turn, causes aging and cancer. Cancer is literally a group of your cells starting to grow uncontrollably. If you eat foods that promote growth, you put yourself at a higher risk of something somewhere fucking up and starting to grow uncontrollably. It is a very simple logic.

Which is why I do not advocate for a lack of animal products in your diet. You will not grow as much without animal foods. Without animal foods, making gains will be harder. Especially children are at a need of growth or they may remain physically and cognetively stunted.

Animal products basically improve your life's quality. They fuck up your quantity. And your doctor will focus on improving the latter. Because of this reason doctors will also tell you not to do coke. You may think it is a good idea to not listen to them, and I could agree, but it is dishonest and retarded to claim that coke is great for you.

And of course not being a fat fuck is important as well.

I posted and Rice is good for you, never said shit about just carbs you faggot.
