I went to train with garagebro, they are intense as hell and very focused. i can see why he's made so much progress since he's been there, it's a fantastic environment to train in.

Whatever feels best. Some people can train on an empty stomach without feeling hunger and break PRs. Others might need 2 big meals, or a snack before training.
As long as you don't feel hunger during workouts and you get the needed calories in during the day, everything will be daijoubu.

you want carbs that will be absorbed super quickly, proteins are optimal like 20 mins after getting high IG carbs so body wont use this proteins for restoring energy
