Surely they don't want technology like blockchain in use because then everything will be full transparent and they wont be able to move their shekles around. How does this benefit them? It kills their entire fractional reserve banking system?

(((they))) love BTC. It's useless right now as a transaction / actual use currency.
Their off-chain scaling solutions will be neither private nor truly decentralized, and certainly nowhere near as secure as on-chain scaling or the rigorous off-chain scaling solutions ethereum is developing.
There's a good reason why Vitalik is blatantly ignoring and snubbing "Lightning Networks".
