Theory: The Blockchain was brought to humankind by extraterrestrials. The missing LINK to a better future. Gifted to us by a greater intelligence. A tool against oppression.

Thoughts?

Sorry, sold my stack of 40k for IOTA

yes, and iota was made by evil aliens to enslave us.

Keep it up and you will be poor in no time!

>extraterrestrials
BS
>Missing link to a better future
The teleological idea of progress to a "better future" has been abandoned in the western culture. I'll respect your cultural sensitivity and say maybe but probably not.
>Gifted to us by a greater intelligence
Vitalik Buterin & "Satoshi Nakamoto" truly are great minds.
>A tool against oppression
Not at all. If many individuals are achieving financial independence right now, blockchain technology is philosophically a right-wing libertarian idea. Don't fool yourself into thinking cypherpunks still have any control on the future development of blockchain projects aside from a few. The perspective to see an immutable, inattackable public (or private) ledger is a scary though for anyone concerned in collective emancipation. This tool is already getting out of hands of its creators and being used by international finance as a mean to adapt for new markets. The domination is far from over.

>taking this thread seriously

Shhh. He doesn't know about the interview on RT Thursday night. Shhh.

No it was created by AI. The AI in Saudi Arabia (Sophia) was just given citizenship and the first thing "she" did was create a cryptocurrency so she could start aquiring real fiat money. That's how we are controlled and manipulated now. UN Adgenda 2030 is what this is going towards, "smart cities" ruled by blockchain & AI.

>Selling LINK for IOTA
>not having strong positions in both

Its like you want to be a poorfag

>Not seeing the political dimension of things unfolding in front of your eyes
>being eternally cucked because you take nothing seriously
That's how /pol/tards are made, gentlemen

>Not seeing the political dimension of things unfolding in front of your eyes
Wrong
>being eternally cucked because you take nothing seriously
Wrong
>That's how /pol/tards are made, gentlemen
Wrong

Satoshi Nakamoto is a phantom. It most likely isnt Nick Szabo, also not Nakamoto. I think also the secret service doesnt know.

Its not a tool against oppression because it makes a bunch of people rich, but because it takes currency out of the hand of banks, it is not manipulatible and decentralized, out of the hands of arbitrariness like in greece where bank accounts were frozen and funds were forcedly-removed.

its also rather genius that mass adoption of crypto currencies is pushed forward by momentary cultural greed, its just perfect, think about it.

>Satoshi Nakamoto is a phantom.
I know. Szabo's writing style has been compared to Satoshi's and it does not match. It does not really matter tho.
>because it takes currency out of the hand of banks
That was also my initial though three years ago when I discovered cryptos. But don't take the discourse of the crypto entrepreneurs for granted. Cryptos are far from being ruled by "value-free" protocols and the recent crisis of governance over BTC protocols and the way to settle disputes are very informative on the potential of these coins to get out of the control of the educated majority. Financial institutions and States will challenge the aspects of crypto that directly threaten their agency until they can control it.
A quick look at the how the money slowly but surely came into the hands of centralised administrations (in Xth century China first and in the XVIth cent in Europe) although money were initially issued by private interests tells us what's next to come with blockchain.
Same with taxation and identity check.
