>Rolled 7 (1d20) FOR THE PRIMARCH-PROGENITOR! Post Imperial Fists.
Ethan Young
Stupid question time because I'm too lazy to work out what book the answer's in. There are a growing number of few rites of war that specify you must be the attacker in missions with an attacker and a defender (IW Ironfire, DG Creeping Death, etc.). What happens if you and your opponent both turn up with lists using these rites? Do you just have to roll a different scenario, or is there a way to resolve it in the rules?
Grayson Phillips
I have a question for you all. After six hardback Horus Heresy books from Forgeworld, which one would you rate the best? The Worst? Which one had the best content in it? The worst content? We talk about ranking the BL books all the time, but never the FW ones, and I want to change that.
Asher Edwards
Roll of and one person play the defender, there's nothing preventing you from actually being the defender except that single rule.
Grayson Bailey
what do you guys think of tarantulas in mechanicum armies? i was thinking of having them in an Ordos Reductor allied detachment. maybe going TL lascannon?
Aiden Clark
Looks like the mega link for the mechanicum book might need an update.
John Williams
as a follow up to this, how does the Targeting rules work for TL photon thrusters, pic related
Luis Roberts
Posted last thread but, Planning an BS Outlanders with the Reaver because teleporting looks cool, is there any infantry that works well with DSing I was thinking seekers loaded with combi-plasma would work like 40k Sternguard
Julian Russell
Thanks, Uni for the summary since I was asleep.
Josiah Carter
Does anyone have good examples of Sons of Horus painted kn metallic green?
The same as Alpha Legion and Thousand Sons, except green.
Liam Reed
>Thousand Sons Wait for it.
James Richardson
When will the Dionbots make an appearance? When one of the traitors find a copy of When the Dinosaurs Roamed America?
Austin Baker
Given the blight drone is now based on a mechanicum battle-automata, I wonder what an uncorrupted version of the dinobots might look like.
Incidentally, corrupted/possessed versions of all the other battle automata would be really cool. Especially vorax.
Luis Lopez
>46853915 Ah, my bad. I had a feeling I should've checked before posting
Dominic Hernandez

Ian Rodriguez
I imagine those will come out eventually.
Oliver Carter
>mfw everything CSM have is HH derived and nothing has been made since then >mfw 30k BFG will feature a loyalist planet destroyer
Jayden Rodriguez
Shut up and take your Dinobots like a man, Brother Twinkletoes.
Caleb Gutierrez
It's kind of weird how this one resembles a blight drone just a little bit.
Eli Fisher
yeah no shit
Leo Powell
It's meant to be a pre-nurgle blight drone apparently
Brayden Jones
user, you do understand that soon they'll be our dinobots too, right? You get a dinobot, and you get a dinobot, and you get a dinobot. Everybody gets a dinobot!
Logan Green
Can I use the megadakka with them, and do have they have a soda dispenser?
Jacob Peterson
Holy moley /hhg/ is being pretty slow today
to drum up a bit of conversation and stop us getting bumped off, what model's everyone using for their praetor? The models FW sell haven't got much going on, and they've got nothing for jump pack/jetbike/bike praetors.
Luis Ramirez
I've got a few for what I want to run, mostly just a regular MK IV with whatever weapons, and I greenstuff the capes and decals I put.
Ethan Russell
Nice, what legion?
Post pics if you got em
Asher Robinson
>"or Dark Mechanicum it that's your metal bag" >Because we absolutely aren't promoting tech-heresy by only pumping out traitor AdMech >Srsly, we are the motherfuckers who invented Scoria. >But maybe you want to pay Archmagos price for a Magos statline with Decima, we don't know. If that's your metal bag...
Isaac Flores
Alright /hhg/ explain this to me because I'm a fucking idiot.
How does the Primarch's Chosen RoW work? Do I need a Praetor/Delegatus to unlock the RoW first and fill the mandatory HQ slot and then buy the Primarch as a HQ choice or do I buy the Primarch and then choose the RoW which makes it a HQ to fill the mandatory slot?
Aiden Anderson
I never realized I needed a combi-pillow...until I saw this. No, I didn't dream of it...yet.
Jaxson Turner
Primarchs have MoL, so just use it. There's no definitive steps for list building/choosing Rites, so just do it all at once.
Justin King
>When taken in this detachment, a Primarch is counted as a HQ choice instead of a Lords of War choice, and must be both the detachment's compulsory HQ choice and the army's Warlord. How is this difficult to understand.

Leo Cruz
no one?
Daniel Reyes
This honestly does annoy me. FW needs to cut it the fuck out with making 30k versions of everything. Are we eventually going to get a 30k brass scorpion or blood slaughterer or decimator? A huge part of the reason I like the Dark Mechanicus is even if they are assholes they actually make new shit from time to time.
Nathan Lopez
I'd say photon thrusters target vehicles, given they have the lance rule. I'd also say it's a typo and FW omitted it. I don't use tarantulas, and I know nobody who uses them. As for me, I'm trying to come up with ways of using Typhon, but Morturg does it better.
Chase Cruz

BL, GW, everyone has to stop it. As I remember, GW already put the space wolf icicles into HH by saying their weapons were commissioned by Russ to arm the wulfen.
Have they put storm bolters into 30k yet?
Dylan Sanchez

>GW already put the space wolf icicles into HH by saying their weapons were commissioned by Russ to arm the wulfen. So, SW will also have AP2 shredding at initiative?
Adrian Thomas
Just a quick question, does Maru Skara allow you to use its abilities on a transport carrying a unit from another FoC slot? So can I shove a command squad in a dreadclaw drop pod and decide to have it arrive turn 2 alongside my palatine blades and seekers?
Also outside of of meltabombs is there any reliable way to kill vehicles in an infantry heavy army?
David Young
I am fine with that, gives the Ksons attack on Fenris some actual creedence.
Evan Moore
>Just a quick question, does Maru Skara allow you to use its abilities on a transport carrying a unit from another FoC slot? So can I shove a command squad in a dreadclaw drop pod and decide to have it arrive turn 2 alongside my palatine blades and seekers? I'd say so yeah.
>Also outside of of meltabombs is there any reliable way to kill vehicles in an infantry heavy army? Chainfists, lascannon/missile launcher heavy weapons teams, melta support squads depending on how prolific AC is in your meta, an attached siege breaker for tank hunters.
Brayden Price
That's up to FW. I hope we at least get frost axes and swords. Ice beams and icicle I can live without. Even without wolf claws.
Besides, I think SW got that shit pure the same reason Harlies did, to make them competitive enough. Nothing like a small expensive army with tons of AP2 to make then more than fluff options.
Luis Gomez
A Flare-shielded ceramite-armoured Butcher-carrying slaps your tabletop. What do?
Zachary Cox
Except we already know the history of CSM ships. None of them exists prior to around M35. They were based on an entirely new design principle, not anything from the Horus Heresy.
Brody Bailey
I have never undestood the purpose of AP3 relics.
Kayden James
*Terminus Est*
Bentley Nguyen
Fuck off with that picture. Guy Haley is the most toe-the-line of all the BL authors. By his own word there is barely a thing he writes that he doesn't bring to have the higher-ups check it for. Yes, even the Black Templar stuff.
Matthew Jackson
...
Luke Torres
Is a one of a kind vessel and not a ship of the line.
Nolan Hernandez
And just about all of them were made by the Imperium and then turned to Chaos. Or Chaos stole the plans from the Imperium. I think one of the escorts is an actual OC donut steel with xenos weaponry.
Juan Green
>it's ok, I was just following orders
Jaxon Reyes
Not quite. Poison ships were already a thing.
Sebastian Ross
The entirety of the Despoiler class battleships was made with the Terminus Est's blueprints the Admech dug up after the Heresy.
Juan Garcia
So you're saying the CSM ship design didn't exist prior to the heresy until the Admech found them in M36. Glad to see you agree with me.
David Powell
You rang?
It is a ship of the line, it's a battleship
Adrian Martin
A full chapter of destroyers is the only good chapter.
Levi Bell
>Have they put storm bolters into 30k yet? Know No Fear had them
Nolan Wood
Did you forge the part where it did, in the Terminus Est? It is a 30k era ship design, which just didn't get into mass production until M36. Without the Terminus Est we wouldn't have the Despoiler class.
But the bigger point is that Chaos didn't invent that ships class or pretty much any of the Chaos ships. More and more of Dark Mechanicum's inventions are just perverted versions of HH shit, not original works.
Juan Jackson
Outflank two contemptor Dreadnoughts each with a chainfist turn 2. Perfection and precision allow one to overcome any threat.
Anthony Thompson
We sure the author just didn't confuse combi and storm bolter with one another?
Can't wait for late HH Mk8 armour. Maybe they'll find a way to put centurions in there as well. And stormtalons and ravens.
Luke Hernandez
It mentions terminators firing storm bolters.
Thomas Cox
Either they were prototypes or it was multilaser-style fluff or a typo like when that dude wrote about some Primarch Rubinek and meant Chapter Master all along.
Austin Harris
Pretty sure Mk VII and Storm Bolter have always been late-Heresy tech, no need to bitch
Jonathan Garcia
And the Land Raider Ares!
Brayden Robinson
I'd accept that as an Achilles variant, though the 0 transport capacity is kind of shit
Jaxon Rodriguez
That's your answer to everything.
Kevin Gray
Mk7, yes, Mk8, no. And I've never seen anything mentioning storm bolters as HH era inventions as long as storm and combi-bolters have been two different things.
David Harris
No They don't They just shove daemon dick into stc stuff They just have some stcs imperials don't have anymore
Zachary Sanchez
Yeah, I know Mk VIII isn't - sorry, that was a bit of alcohol-fuelled belligerence, something in the tone of the post rubbed me the wrong way. But I do seem to recall hearing that storm bolters were a late-heresy thing, for loyalists, but I can't remember where I heard it and Lexicanum doesn't help
Works for everything
Levi Garcia
taunt them, and run back to my fortress and slowly grind them to dust in a relentless combination of attrition and artillery barrages.
Andrew Miller
as well as being unable to fire the heavy flamers, or hit anything ever with teh asscan honestly, the land raider are is a retarded design and further proof that the DA are a bunch of scrubs
Henry Stewart
What part of the fluff for defilers, blight drones, dinobots, etc. states that they're just corrupted old Imperial designs?
Mason Garcia
Can't you PotMS it?
Isaiah Long
WINNER WINNER, IRON DINNER!
Kevin Myers
It's from before PotMS times, iirc
I think you could replace them with meltas? But they're flamers, you don't need to aim, just fire
Isaiah Ramirez
PotMS is old as fuck. There was a time it was a generic SM vehicle upgrade.
Parker Perez
>demolisher cannon is ordnance >makes every other weapon snap fire >cant snap fire template weapons
Jeremiah Flores
M8 Horus rising - Horus teleports to the top of that tower and blasts the Bloke on the throne with a storm bolter grimacing, perfect in every dimension and detail, suffused in radiance. So beautiful. So very beautiful. For a moment, the god stood there, unflinching, beset by the gale of force, but unmoving, facing it down. Then he raised the storm bolter in his right hand and fired into the tumult. One shot.
Grayson Fisher
You can for the Assault Cannon, but template weapons can't be snap shot so if you fire the Demolisher Cannon you can't fire the Heavy Flamers.
That said, this wasn't a problem when the tank was first designed so it's a problem that subsequent editions have created.
Chase Nelson
Say, my Warlord trait can only affect Sworn Brothers, but what about asymmetrical alliances, where only one of them considers the other dude a Sworn Brother? Kind of like a "Sworn Sempai" if you ask me. As in, I want to infiltrate those sweet 20-man Night Lord squads.
Aaron Long
Blight drone proof is in this thread Dinobots are just standard daemonic twisting Via index chaotica-Strictly speaking, the body of a Defiler is not manufactured from anything new, for the obscure processes of the Warpsmiths reconstitute it from Warp-tainted metal wrenched from other constructs. The Defilers’ ancient slab-sided metal panels have been known to possess the runic signatures of ancient Forge Worlds that fell during the Horus Heresy, and of Tech-Priests who had turned traitor. It is said by those within the Council of the Ordo Malleus that many such panels, as well as other elements of the Defiler’s technology, are originated from Dreadnoughts, perverted by the hands of Chaos and distorted by the

In the FW books it's just called a stylized twin-bolter.

Yeah, I'm completely incorrect about that, I just found it's rules, it has PotMS
Zachary Mitchell
Who is asymmetrical?
Andrew Phillips
user, you do realize we're talking about how before HH became a thing, none of the daemon engines were tied to HH and were Dark Mechanicum OC donut steel creations, right? And now that we got HH, suddenly we have to tie everything to it and make all the inventions just perverted Imperial designs, nothing original.
That's what people are talking about.
Carson Phillips
That's what I wonder, what part of the chart is the main army and what part is the allied force? It isn't specified anywhere.
Joshua Jenkins
Namely, Warlord Morturg (Death Guard primary detachment) trying to infiltrate allied Night Lords, whom he treats as Fellow soldiers but they look at him like a Sworn Brother. But WTs can only affect Sworn Brothers and, technically, Death Guard don't consider themselves Sworn brothers to the NL. But honestly I don't know what happens there
Levi Fisher
Power of the Machine Spirit says you can fire one more gun at full BS than normally permitted. And at a different target. So you can fire the demolisher and snap fire the TL AC one way and use one flamer sponsons on something else.
Chase Lee
