How could "neutral" beastmen look like? (In contrast to the "evil" beastmen in canon warhammer)

How could "neutral" beastmen look like? (In contrast to the "evil" beastmen in canon warhammer)

File down the spiky bits. Wash off the blood. Invest in herdy-gerdies and pan pipes. Aim for hedonist tribes, or Greek styling.

Guarding nature/the wild perhaps?

A cross between a circus sideshow and gypsies I'd imagine.

Dwarf Fortress is full of neautrl beast races

Or just copy the lizard men from Ultima Underworld

...

We will kill them HERE. We will save THIS forest. Why are the humans here Moro?

Humans are everywhere these days. Go back to your own mountain. Kill them there.

There are already lizardmen.

A force of nature that is very savage and acts on instinct and impulse.

Good beastmen would be the Narnians. It's interesting in that the Narnian beastmen look almost just like the Warhammer ones in terms of species (minotaurs, satyrs, goat headed dudes)

...

Make them different enough from lizardmen while just being similar to beastmen. A human with a crocodile head like some weird Egyptian god could be cool. Beasts don't have to be mammals.

The Herd from Kings of War.

>Aim for hedonist tribes
I want Slaanesh to leave.

Wood elves, but furries.

Scully's voice coming out of that wolf's mouth did terrible things to my brain and dick

The Tauren before the orcs arrived to Kalimdor.

...

Get rid of the more sadistic, Rapey and shit covered elements of them, or at least tone it down to wood elf levels. Make them savages, but out of need more than malicious intent. Even canon beastmen are constantly hunted by things scarier than them in the deep woods. Give them their own gods who are not associated with the chaos gods. Their motivation should be mostly on survival and finding supplies, not tearing down civilization.

In terms of appearance, just make them look and smell like normal wild animals would, tone down the shit tribal paint and spikes, and give them tons of variety that is based on region/what animals they take after

Covered in moss and leafs. Druidic and isolationistic. Wanting nothing to do with anyone or anything. Especially the Dark Gods or their Chaos Worshipping brethren. Just wanting to be left alone.

Will never attack first and would be extremely patient about your shenanigans.

placid, dumb herbivores

Predatory bands, feeding on and subjugating survivors.
When they get large enough they prey on human or orc / other humanoid villages for manufactured goods, not having the knowledge or equipment to forge, making do with leathers and bone arms and armor with scrap metal enhancements.

Similar to orc waaaaaaghs great migrations occur when entire forests worth of tribe and herds move as one against other races or away from others.

>How could "neutral" beastmen look like? (In contrast to the "evil" beastmen in canon warhammer)

A fuckhuge part of beastman lore and identity in warhammer is that they're mishappen and hateful.

They're not natural, they know it, and they hate it, it makes them want to tear down nice things and be horrible shits to humans. They're not even that well adapted to anything, a log of them have bodies that just don't work that well, many are clumsy, or in pain.

Neutral beastmen doesn't really work in warhammer, but if you have to shove them in there I'd make them look less like mismatched parts of humans and animals, and more like animal people or abhumans, rather than "goaty head and leg man"

But that's what warhammer beastmen always did...

Warcraft Tauren basically.

Canon beastmen deliver everything you need:
>Tribalism
>Animistic religious belief
>Survivalist mindset

Just tone down the ANGER, so that it isn't a constant state of mind but more a very powerful surge of adrenaline in battle situations that helps them survive.

Apart from that, , and got it right.

I wasn't aware of , but it seems important to remember.

But above all things, never forget the most important fact:

Gor. Is. Strong.
