You wind your Caster furiously, loading it with a bottle of venom as quickly as you can. An arrow shatters itself on your Champions-hardened skin and you swing the Caster up to return fire up at the walls above you.
The walls of Taldenral are falling.

It’s been a full day since you left the banks of the Kuri behind you, Hiss’ forced march taking her forces to the outskirts of Taldenral by morning. The sun still hasn’t reached its zenith and the city is already under assault. Its walls are already being overrun in multiple locations, rattled defenders barely able to rally under the assault of the living dead scaling its walls. Taldenral is simply not a defensible location. It’s too large, too fat. Its walls don’t even go all the way around and you know for a fact that many serpents have already slipped inside and have begun to feast. The entire bloated city is far less defensible than the river Kuri and their men much less stout of heart. They’ve barely even brought up the trebuchets against you, something is sowing chaos within their ranks. You can only hope it was Oster’s doing.

Unfortunately in the chaos of it all you’ve gotten a little seperated from Hiss. She’s already inside the city, you can see her path from where the main gates have been smashed open and trampled underfoot.

Who are you with instead? (You can choose multiple)

>Zigzag. She’s a useful shield and somebody needs to watch her.

>Aashenpreet. All of Hiss’ forces are pouring into the city now, ‘civilians’ included.

>The homunculi. You asked them to stay back in the last battle but this should be nowhere near as dangerous.

>Orange. You’re helping escort the little bureaucrat in. Hiss will need him.

>Elle & Blue: Elle might be keeping watch over her but Elle’s an idiot and you don’t trust Blue with her.

>Who cares about them? You need to catch up to Hiss!

>Aashenpreet. All of Hiss’ forces are pouring into the city now, ‘civilians’ included.

>Zigzag. She’s a useful shield and somebody needs to watch her.

It's a family outing

>The homunculi. You asked them to stay back in the last battle but this should be nowhere near as dangerous.
Shit, I missed the fact that we can choose multiple options somehow. Changing my vote.

Did we never get a chance to restock some brews?

"How are you guys doing back there?"
You turn around to face your companions, averting your eyes from the deaths of the defenders in the process.

"Everything's fine here," Zigzag says as Aashenpreet hoists her into the air. The Quedeshi is using her as a shield lest she be struck by a stray arrow. Zukhdeep curls around her collar and she refuses to look you in the eye or respond to your question.

"Yes, I have not sustained damage."
And that's Eva, currently cowering behind Hom's human form in a similar manner.

"Don't worry, the arrows should stop soon! There's not much left now. Then we can all get inside peacefully."

>Make your way in now. It'll probably be fine.

>Just wait a little bit longer. It'll probably mean more awkward silences with Aashenpreet however.

>Reload your Caster and keep helping the fight.

>Use the time to brew some more and restock.

>Try to strike up a conversation.

Talk about homunculi care?

>>Use the time to brew some more and restock.
>>Try to strike up a conversation.
(ask the homunculi about any their recent goings on, and any alchemical gains they made on there own, then ask Zigzag about the state of the snake forces as of late.)

>Use the time to brew some more and restock.
Ignition x2
Champion brew x2, one for Aash and one for Eva
Heal all in bandoleer
Potence
Regen
Snakebreaker
Soulsight
Weakening cloud
I'm tempted to make anti snake brews but that would be metagaming

This

Ah sorry guys, I don't feel so good. Just make your votes now and I'll come back later.

Again, sorry for flaking out so hard lately.

>Make your way in now. It'll probably be fine.
>Try to strike up a conversation.
With Aash. She doesn't have to forgive us, I just want to know what is she going to do after this is over.

'salright man, take care.

Define later

I am become flake, destroyer of threads

You'll come back later to tally the votes or to resume the thread?

You did you son of a bitch

>tfw no last snakecatcher thread before I get tornado'd tomorrow

Death will be a release from the bad end we are headed toward.
