Last time: You are Oj One-arm, leader of the Slime Army, at war with the Empire to your east for killing your queen's sister. Recently, you took the first step of conquest against the empire by taking their strongest border villages. Now, after a day of fortification, a special strain of Slimes known as Eye Blobs have arrived from Dripour.
>Have the Eye Slimes scout the area ahead
>Have the Eye Slimes search for the lost Slime Behemoth
>Have the Eye Slimes act as sentries

Recover the behemoth. Our siege is pointless without it.

>>Have the Eye Slimes act as sentries

What are the stats of the Eye Slime?
>Have the eye slime sentries
If possible with the sniper cannons near by on their aim.

>OP hasn't responded

>I've been waiting this whole time with my behemoth vote

>Have the Eye Slimes search for the lost Slime Behemoth

2 for 2
We need a tie breaker.

>Find lost Behemoth

You send the slimes out to find the lost behemoth, to no avail. They can spot a trail of gooey residue, but it leads to the ocean. Poor guy must have fallen into the ocean and fell apart.
The eye slimes return to you one hour later, and you see the girl has escaped. They DO however notice a set of footprints leading into the northern swamp.
>Send the Eye Slimes to search for her
>Send Behemoths to search for her
>Send Knights to search for her
>Send Slake Knights to search for her
>Send Snipers to search for her

>>Send the Eye Slimes to search for her
How does a girl just escape from armed guards?

>Send the Eye Slimes to search for her

Bump

>send Knights to search for her

>goes your self with eye slimes to find here.
We need to think of punishment for escaping.

You round up a couple Eye Slimes, and head out into the swamp to find that girl yourself. After hours of searching, one of your slimes report that she's been spotted in a cave, and that she's killed one of the four Eye Slimes you've been given.
You follow the slime, and it leads you to a small cave underneath a huge tree. You can see faint embers, and see the girl sitting against the wall, sleeping.
>Surprise attack her
>Drag her back to the fortress
>Wake her up, and then force her back to the village

>>Surprise attack her

>Entrap her in a slime prison suit
>Drag her back to the fortress

>wake her up, then force her back to the village.
We need to start making slime girl knights all based of her
Also if she doesn't want to come back knock her out and drag her back.

Agree! I change my vote from wake her up to this
>trap her in slime
>work on making slime girl knights

Fun fact: Some Slime Knights, instead of being hollow armor controlled by slimes, are actually homunculi dressed in armor.

A wave of slime cascades over the poor girl. She can hardly wake up before she is completely encased in a suit of slime, which slinks along the ground as it carries her back to the village. You order for research to be made, to create "Slime Girl Knights" based on her DNA.

You now have Slime Knight Girl variants, a faster, though with somewhat less aggro.

Unfortunately, in the process of research, the poor girl has become a humanoid Sludge abomination. She lets out a mixed series of gurgles and wimpers, as well as pitiful gasps of choked breath. She is completely incapable of intelligent communication, and appears to enter a "Panicked" state whenever you so much as come near her. You can hear your men's unnerved comments.
"That poor girl..."
"How could someone do such a thing?"
"Why the hell did we do this?"
"We don't need her anymore... Maybe we should just let the poor thing go..."
>Put her out of her misery
>Set her free
>Continue experimentation to gain Royal Slime Girl Knights
>Keep her around

>>Put her out of her misery

>Set her free

Put her out of her misery

>Put her out of her misery

>>Put her out of her misery
She brought it on herself.

You order the creature to be executed by nightfall. Hopefully some of your soldiers will receive solace in the fact that the creature's suffering is over.
Meanwhile, you must plan your next attack.
>Attack Kol, the Dwarven mountain city to the south.
>Attack Ilyk, the Forest city to the east from here

>Attack Ilyk, the Forest city to the east from here

>>Attack Ilyk, the Forest city to the east from here

Nice trips

Hey, CM, did you ever finished that map you were working on?

God damn it, this is what happens when I miss this thread.
Now we can't use her as a hostage anymore.
this is why we didn't experiment on her last thread, guys.

Last thread she didn't escape and kill a slime.
You only get so many chances.

Last thread she tried to attack One-arm. It wasn't about 'chances' since she was always hostile from the start, it was about leverage against the celestial in negotiations.
And we may as well have gotten the royal variant with what you guys did to her.

So I still think you fucked that one up.

Honestly, I wanted to kill her when we first met her.
I didn't want to just let the enemy go.

And she ran out of usefulness. The girl just got us to the bargaining table, and by abandoning her Radius was clearly ready to sacrifice the girl for the greater good. I didn't vote for the slime knight thing, and agree it was a stupid choice, but it's no great lose other than the morale drop we seem to have taken.

Hey guys, I'll be afk AGAIN so keep the thread fresh

Good morning bump

The next day, the Sludge is executed in it's dungeon by one of your knights. As they walk out, they look at you without saying a word, and walk off with their head down.

You then mobilize towards Ilyk, the Wood Elven city to the north. The Wood Elves are reknown bowmen, and the city is built on a large strip of land surrounded by a river. Melee combat will be very difficult there.
On your passage through the forest, you come across three paths.
>Path leading through a dark, shaded weald that will be hard to spotted in, but it will be hard to be spotted
>Path along a fast flowing river that leads straight into the city
>A thick bushy path that seems hard to pass through, yet difficult to shoot at
>

>River path

>Path along a fast flowing river that leads straight into the city
Man the boats and watch the coasts. Paint the soldiers in camouflage too.
Should we leave the behemoths behind on this one?

Supporting but let's have the Behemoths on standby so they can eat the forest if we need to.

Some /d/ jerk kept posting to make slime girl knights out of her. Wish he would have shut up about it.

I wish we could have forced her to keep us company and made her our waifu desu. At least we got better soldiers out of it.

I'm Just clarifying my thought process to see if anyone has objections.

I assume for each one that the elves would have better knowledge of the terrain and known about each routes.

I immediately discounted the bushy pah since it hinders our mobility. Elves would exploit that, and we'd suffer more casualties in an ambush.

I considered the dark path, but then thought about whether it would be a trap. It's good terrain for a stealthy approach, but also good terrain for an ambush. It could hinder us just as much as the bushy path, except through being harder to fight back rather than lack of mobility.

River path was the most out in the open, but traveled by boat it would get us to the capital faster and leave the elves less time to prepare. On the chance of an ambush, we would know where it would come from (each side of the river), fight back without having to stop, and their mobility advantage would be countered (either by us traveling by boat flowing towards the city, or if they use boats as well by our drakes having the advantage).

Plus in the event of a dam or rocks, cannoneers could take care of it. And if they surprise us with an underwater ambush (not likely, but you never know), drakes could cover for us by spotting them from above, and promptly taking care of any boarders.

Good plan.

We could split our forces sending around main force by flowing river while we have foot soldiers and some archers as a small flank forces. If we meet any kind of abush on the banks or need to flank around a dam we can attack on both sides.

Also I'm the guy who voted for slime girl knights and it was either let's weebs use her as a wife or fail to bargin with her dad having to kill her.

.

Having some camouflaged soldiers travel along the banks but a notable distance from the main force is a good idea. They'll be in a perfect position to counter-ambush those sneaky elves completely focused on the boats. Bonus point: we did upgrade to snipers.

This whole plan is really 'force our way through', but in a way that let's us respond to any possible obstacle.

More points I forgot to mention: drakes will be effective along the river because they won't have branches hindering them, and if like the stock fantasy wood elves they have Ents on their side we can deal with them easily enough compared to the other paths.

So the plan is we're going to mobilize our army to the wood elf city of Ilyk in the north. Our main force will be sailing down the river while we have our lighter infantry and archers on either side of the river in camouflage to makes sure a safe vouage to the city for the ships, artillery and other troops.

Is it possible to divide the behemoths in to smaller but still big soldiers just for the march?
Also what are the forces we're bringing to the siege?

Your army travels alongside the river, and build boats to be placed in for later. Your army travels along as stealthily as they can, but the Behemoths are too visible, so you send them back. Your Slake knights must also remain low, slowing their movement greatly. After four days of traveling at a slow speed to remain invisible to the Empire, the grand city of Ilyk is within sight. The city itself is built into an extremely huge tree, which is surrounded by the river you've been following. You must plan your first move carefully
>Create more Slake Knights, and have them invade the tree from above before sending the major slime force.
>Take the Village at the base of the tree.
>Bombard the towers built into the tree's trunk with Homunculi Archers

>>Bombard the towers built into the tree's trunk with Homunculi Archers

>>Bombard the towers built into the tree's trunk with Homunculi Archers
Fire arrows.
Burn the forest down.

No problems on the way there. Huh.

>Bombard the towers built into the tree's trunk with Homunculi Archers
Their archers are their biggest strength. Let's not let them have any high grounds to exploit.

>bombard the towers built into the tree homunculi arrows.

After we bombard them can we send a diplomat ask if they will just submit to our slime rule?

I doubt they will agree that easily. Let's threaten them with our slime Behemoths. They can start eating the forest. They must be very hungry.

If we easily take out their towers with our archers then our cannons against their tree will be like bullet vs paper.
Also we have a land and navle force attack so we're already pretty intimidating and that without our behemoths that are also on their way.

Le bump

...

Are Slakes just slime that take the shape of dragons or are they like some Slime Knights were their core is another creature. Did we eat some dragons to make Slakes? What would a Slime Drake/Slake look like?

I think they're slime drakes with a Homunculi knight on top.

Most of the time, Slakes and Riding Blobs are ridden by either homunculi in armor or slimes that are inside of knight armor

Your Homunculi Heavy Archers fire flaming arrows at the towers built into the tree's side. Some of the watch towers are destroyed and burn right off, but the tree doesn't catch ablaze. The enemy is aware of your presence, and a hail of arrows is returned from the tree's branches. You notice the front gate of the base vilage has opened, and the drawbridge has been dropped.
>Storm the base village and scale the tree
>Send Slake Knights to attack the tree's branches
>Fire at the village with homunculi

>Send Slake Knights to attack the tree's branches

>Send Slake Knights to attack the tree's branches

>Send Slake knights to attack the tree's breanches.
Did we land and get on land or is the majority of our troops in ship?

Slake Knights swarm near the top canop, yet almost all are obliterated by arrows, sending hundreds of Slime Knights falling towards the earth.
>Charge through the open gate
>Place the boats in the water and ride straight into the villages center.
>Bombard the village with arrows

>Bombard the village with arrows
Burn it to the ground, keep cannoners focused on the bridge. When the enemy rides out, they'll be bottlenecked.

>Bombard the village with arrows

>bombard the village with arrows.
We need to start moving up our infinity and smaller units to raid the village and taking any person we find, turning them to a bargaining chip with the empire or slaves for our slime gods!

Your archers fire flaming arrows at the village at the base of the tree. The village catches ablaze and begins evacuating civilians up the tree's few stair ways.
>Wait patiently for the civilians to evacuate
>Rush up the tree's trunk

Just keep shooting arrows, burn the whole fucking tree down.

>Wait about five minutes for the civilians to evacuate

>Wait about five minutes for the civilians to evacuate

>ceasing your attack in the middle of a battle

I'm voting that way as a compromise. Also attacking the enemy head on could prove costly as shown with the Slake Knights.

Their archers are a nuisance and this could be trap. Couldn't we attack around the citizens?

I feel QM will make our all of decisions backfire for some reason.

Most of our choices have. Especially any option that regards diplomacy.

Your forces standby for the civilians to retreat, and then scale the first stairway to become available. In melee combat, the Wood Elves are no match for your Slime Knights. You push into the center branch of the city, when you see a white light fly into the sky, and then hover over the battle field. You can see a faint red glimmer fall slowly back down, before view of it is blocked by the head of a knight.

An extremely loud explosion rings out, followed by a red dome of fire spreading out, before everything turns to white. You regain consciousness, and the battle you saw moments ago is over, with a hellish red atmosphere filling the air. The tree is on fire! You notice a few of your slime soldiers being slowly eaten up by fire as they lay submissively on the ground. Elven soldiers are retreating towards their palace, while some are outright jumping off the ledges into the river below. Very few enemy forces remain, though the same goes towards your soldiers.
>Continue pushing towards the palace
>Retreat!

>Retreat!
No need to stand there and do nothing.

>Retreat!
The cities gonna burn down anyway. Might as well save our men.

>Retreat!

>>Continue pushing towards the palace
Kill everything.
Every man. Every woman, Every child. If it lives make it stop being alive.

That's kind of hard when you're melting, user. Should have brought our flame slimes.

>retreat your men but send the genral and most elite guard to go in to capture any royalty or vips

"Retreat! RETREAT!" You shout.
Your forces hastily evacuate the tree, and retreat from the path you ventured. The fire spreads throughout the entire forest, and you travel for four days, only camping once you are sure you're atleast 5 miles away from the fire. Eventually, you leave, with about half of what you entered with.
>Return to the village
>Start reproducing
>Head for the capital.

>>Head for the capital.
Lick our wounds. Rebuild and strengthen our army. Plot entire decimation of Empire and every living soul in it.

>Start reproducing
That really took a toll on us. Best to recoup

Just to make sure, this means go back to OUR capital, not march on the enemy, right?

>Start reproduction.
Can our capital send another army to help us out or renforcements? Our lands are probably over flowing with fighting age youths.

>Start reproducing
We're weak now and we need the numbers. Time for an orgy.

.

Your army starts splitting and rapidly repopulates its numbers. After about a week, your slime portion of the army should be back to a decent population

Alright guys, time to sleep again. See you in the morning

Goodnight

Night OP, good civ so far

Why can't people just be friends with us Slimes?

Bump

You recieve a letter from the Empire, stating that they are willing to surrender, and refuse war with the Alliance, so long as you leave their territory and never come back.
>The treaty is fine, accept it
>Refuse the treaty
>Request they pay for reparations of Dilita
>Request you keep the territory you've taken

>Request that we investigate what happened at the wood elf city first, unless they can provide an explanation.

>The treaty is fine, accept it

Tell them that if they want to go to war with someone, they keep it out of our borders.
Damn right we deserve some reparations.

>The treaty is fine, accept it
