I don't see what you mean. ARK has a strong community and busy devs that keep hiring more full time employees. Even the community is active in developing stuff for ARK (ACES).

Plenty of people know what Ark does. You should learn to DYOR. This place is predominantly for memes and nobody is obliged to explain anything to you. A few brainlets on biz deciding not to buy will have no impact whatsoever on Ark’s inevitable moon mission ;)

what does ark do? It connects normal people with the entire cryptocurrency/blockchain industry with their thousands of different tokens and coins. Instead of holding those thousands of different tokens, they can simply use ark to access this entire ecosystem.

but thats just smartbridge, and it is already up and running. other features are being developed (smart contracts, push deployable blockchains, global data transfer & storage, exchange)

ACES allows users to transfer ARK directly to Ethereum without using an exchange, making it decentralized. It automatically calculates any fees and handles all conversions, and even returns excessive ARK spent if all is not used or the transaction doesn’t go through on the Ethereum network.

The next step for ACES is to allow ETH to ARK transfers as well, which is currently on the ACES roadmap. There is also a plan to make a marketplace for running ACES Encoded Listeners. Making it even more decentralized and giving users more options, depending on their needs.

Well, various coins have different use cases. I believe ARK is like atomic swap with ACES for Ethereum right now but from the OP image it looks like they are changing things up a little bit with the BTC update.

I remember during the whole cobinhood thing people were converting their ARK to ETH so they could buy COBB and also use it as gas to vote and get it on the exchange. Was really something else.

ARK can also achieve interoperability without other blockchains embedding the vendor field code using what is known as an Encoded Listener Node.
Encoded Listeners act as a hub, listening to the SmartBridge vendor field and waiting for data or functions to be executed. ACES itself is an Encoded Listener Node, using ARK’s SmartBridge to communicate between ARK and Ethereum.

The Ark team has said that they figured out that all you need is an encoded listener node. No need to implement a snippet of code into other blockchains, which would be impossible anyway.
