"Normal" Tzimisce.

I think they go under Literally Who, along with the Anda and Noiad and the other 5,000 Gangrel bloodlines that no one gives a shit about.

I'm sorry you've had to play with all those lol-randumb kids in the childhood and it scarred you for life, user.

As someone who runs a lot of VTM I disagree. They end up not doing very much because their powers just are not that helpful to the players.

Malkavians are the chaotic neutral of vampire clans. It's always a warning sign, lol random Harly Quin knock off is all too common for first time players.

Also Lasombra fedora tippers. Fuck those guys.

>Toreador
>below Ventrue
>below Autismjah

Well, they can't do much of an intrigue with Animalism alone, but being able to both do and soak Aggravating makes them very capable combatants.

>ventrue not top tier

elitist of keks

Maybe if you're playing "Whiny Faggots Sniping at Each Other in Elysium: The Game".

If you have even a tiny amount of serious combat, Gangrels make superb frontliners.

>Brujah
>Anything but shit-tier commie hipster bait.

Otherwise seems fair. Though I've always had a soft spot for the snake fuckers.

>he doesn't want to play a person who desperately tries to hold on to his sanity, only to fail every time
>he doesn't want to grow to accept the strange laws of insanity and try his best to accomodate to it
>he doesn't want to finally throw away his sanity, and be that hobo who is always spouting conspiracy theories no one believes, and be right most of the time
"Alice in the Wonderland" brand of madness is not chaotic neutral. Neither is "tinfoil conspiracy" brand of madness. Neither is "imaginary friend" brand of madness.

Personally, I blame randumb "dude 420 lmao" kids for ruining the Malkavian clan. When they are played properly, they are top tier characters.

>Top tier
>Tremere

Way to miss the point. I was saying that people play Malks so they can do what the fuck ever and blame it on insanity. Now I have never had the trouble of sharing a table with a fish malk, but I have had my fucking fill of bunnyslipper cutesie dolly malks. I want Hanable Lector, I get Daddy Issues X100 the vampire, and her five friends instead.

Malks are an interesting idea, but never seem to become what they could be.

worked for me

>bunnyslipper cutesie dolly malks
>Malkavian
>not Toreador
What?

>I get Daddy Issues X100 the vampire
What's wrong with that?

>can throw fireballs
>can conjure guns and swords out of thin air
>can make all weapons deal agg
>can lower effective generation
>can carry around a shitload of spare blood in the form of trinkets
>can fly
>can call down lightning bolts from the heavens
>immune to stakes if you wanna be

Tremere are OP as fuck, which automatically puts them in the top tier.

I support this post.

So much this, never had more fun in vtm then when I played as a tremere.

I'm so glad I just picked up this game, any recommendations for a first play through? I already plan on going with Malkavians.

I actually prefer Brujah to Trujah.

Like the idea that you can do philosophy without a passion for the truth would have seemed retarded to the ancients.

All it did was feed into the retarded idea that Brujah were meant to be biker mongols after all.

>Giovanni not top tier
really? Nothing's better than a nice spot of international banking and necromancy.

It may have something to do with the fact that your typical Giovanni likes fucking his sister *so much* that he doesn't stop even after she's dead.

Yeah, Brujah are better than Trujah.

>any recommendations for a first play through?

Don't open it.

In seriousness, with character generation, remember that every Background can be increased through pure roleplaying (acquiring contacts and retainers, getting money, increasing status), EXCEPT Generation.

Add to this the fact that Generation is overwhelmingly the best Background due to allowing more Blood in your Blood Pool AND more Blood/turn (allowing you to just do more, do it longer, and do it better), and you've got yourself the best Background and arguably the best stat in the game. Max it at character creation unless the Storyteller says otherwise. You have plenty of Freebie points left over during character creation to increase other Backgrounds.

On the other hand most Storytellers know how potent Generation is and so might disallow anyone from allocating more than a dot or two into it. If that's the case, then that's fine. Role with it.

You act like you can do all that shit without any roll.
Tremere are strong but no nobrainer like Bruja.

Only if you play with That Guys/Gals. I had a player who did Malkavian RIGHT. OCD about cleanliness, especially food. Fucking kidnapping people and keeping them in a fucked up clean room and treating them for disease and addiction for days before feeding. She started treating past meals like real people and asking how they were, what could she doto make their imprisonment more comfortable...got weird a few times when "I" remembered most of the people she was holding conversations with were in comas.

> Brujah and Gangrel meatheads made for literally fight fight fight and muh powers, muh victory in what is explicitly a roleplaying-oriented scenario
> it's the Malkavians and LaSombra who actually bring forth interesting characters who are the fedora tippers

Yeah, nah.
>

> It may have something to do with the fact that your typical Giovanni likes fucking his sister *so much* that he doesn't stop even after she's dead.

Yes, and?

>Lasombra path of obstructive defiant. Not going to do it because someone told me.
Being evil for no other reason than to be evil

Fine, you don't get a fedora. Lasombra are worthless, self important, edge lords who should be booted from the table for not being able to work in a group.

Yeah alright, but
