The previous run has been ended given that this new version will require a bit of testing before it should be used as a stable platform for play. As of this moment, Grid-Lock is back in testing mode.
Characters from the previous game version can be carried over, albeit they will be modified to fit the current standard. Please post old character sheets to get your new character sheet.

>Agile Strike [Deals 2 Damage, and the player may choose an Option to follow the attack: Attack, +Bleed, Evade, +Launch, +Prone, or +Push. Additional attacks are converted into Options] >Lv 2 Tiger Claw [Slash, 1 Hand; 2 Dmg, +Rapid2, +Puncture] So, to make sure I understand the changes right, I can make attacks like this: >Tiger Claw [2damage+rapid2] >-rapid1 [Evade] >-rapid2 [+Bleed] Because Evade and Bleed are both Options for Agile Strike. But not >-rapid1 [+Puncture] >-rapid2 [+Rapid2] Because Puncture isn't an Agile Option, and Rapid isn't an Agile Option and endless combos are verboten. Have I got this all correct? Also, can [Mend] still benefit from the +Rapid bonus?
Cooper Butler
Oh, I forgot to include 'Strike' in the weapon type. Tiger Claw should read: >Lv 2 Tiger Claw [Slash, Strike, 1 Hand; 2 Dmg, +Puncture, +Rapid2]
As for it's mechanics for Agile Strike, it would allow for the following: >Agile Strike [2 Dmg +Puncture] >-Option >-Option [Rapid1] >-Option [Rapid2]
In essence, a Strike weapon applies its traits to all Strikes it is employed for.
As for Mend, since it reads 'as an Action' and not 'as a Weapon Attack or Strike' it is not reliant on the currently wielded equipment and is an isolated skill, even though it does rely on the current character's Range or Reach. This being stated, Mend cannot gain bonuses from equipment unless the bonus directly ties to Healing benefits, such as 'Heals an additional Health' or something of the sort.
Gavin Lee
Oh. Sweet. More questions: the red headband converted to a shield bonus, the aquamarine stayed as armor. Is this because of item level, or elemental attunement? Are the starting attributes listed with or without the starting equipment bonuses? Basic Equiment is all weapons, are armor and utility things available?
Ayden Parker
I haven't finished typing up the basic armor list, alongside potions and oils. Other utility items, such as the Wrench, are also currently being priced for purchasable use.
The headbands progress on different improvement paths based on color. Green got a skill, and Red got defense.
Starting attributes shown are included with the starting equipment.
Charles Edwards
Might we still upgrade skills or is that part of the system scrapped now?
Anthony James
How does the self-stun work for overclock? If I over-clocked three times in an action would it mean I am stunned for the next three turns or does it work differently?
Ryan King
3 actions
you get 2 actions a turn maxing out an overclock essentially means you act three times in one phase. You become vulnerable for two turns so it's better to use it as a finisher
Hudson Richardson
I forgot that I had Volans Auger with 7 metal arrows, can I get the stats for that?

I'm actually a bit concerned about what has happened to the entirety of the group storage. Something like a corpse, some weapons and shields, and a lot of zeni.
Isaac Bell

Xavier Morgan
Back home and processing responses.
Connor Long
Overclock grants additional actions for tapping. Self-Stun is the same as being hit with Stun, which is removed through use of recovering via spending an action. Maxing out your overclock in a turn allows for 5 actions, but then applies 3 stacks of Stun on yourself. Theoretically a golem can max overclock two turns in a row to act five times, then two times, but then they will be unable to act if they continue to tap overclock each turn.
Pretty sure the group bank only has a Blunder Warden corpse, around 600 zeni, and two Pokers. The shields were both withdrawn. One is on Sacataro, the other was used to make Ward.
Chase Davis
Hey what happened to that dirty golem corpse that Lune acquired? I recall that Tic stored it into the group bank.
Jose James
Skill upgrades will be either passive or active skills on equipment. Alternatively, some skills can be learned permanently or upgraded through some hidden means or another.
I actually already figured out how to include upgraded skills, but someone is going to need to stumble over it. Shouldn't be that hard though. In fact, should be as easy as tripping on a loose extension cord.
Oh, I honestly forgot about that. Noted, even though it would be ideal for the group to keep track of this... in case of forgotten dirty corpses.
David Hughes
Last time it was opened the group bank contained: Group Bank 941z x1 Poker x3 Aegis x1 Volans Auger w/ 7 Arrows x1 Blunder Elite Corpse ×1 Dusty Golem Corpse
Though, I think we may have taken one more Aegis out.
Isaac Green
There were originally x3 Aegis. One was used to make Ward, the second is currently held by Sacataro. The third was used to make Crescent and Comet, which is now Stella Fundati. There should no longer be any Aegis in the bank.
Blunder Elite Corpse is the Warden Corpse because someone listed 'looting' the Elite Corpses but the Warden was included as an Elite corpse.
I just remembered, Nid has a Cracked Core on repair from Hearth. It's in the group bank as soon as it's fixed.
Then there's also the medical tome that Pane had Poptart fetch, which won't be in the group bank once found since it has to be purchased from the business pup.

○Set bonus Do these exist for our starting gear, assuming we make a complete set of related items?
Mason Ross
Set bonuses can only be derived from items that are part of an already existing set. So mixing the available equipment between the playable races won't garner any benefits. However, if you're inquiring towards there being a Fledgling, Wild, or Researcher set... maybe.
Experimenting and general discovery would be required to see if the starting equipment is part of a larger set.
Joseph Bailey
>Fledgeling >Not Pathkeeper Dis goiy.
Nathan Morris
Maybe Pathkeeper is part of an incredibly difficult to figure out set?
Maybe it's a stand-alone?
Jeremiah Sanders
Maybe it's what I'll be feeding Poptart for information on. What I meant was that's the starter gear that has my interest, not Fledeling.
Andrew Fisher
Only managed to balance a single Oil and Potion tonight. Prices yet to be determined.

Will the town be getting a reworking?
Colton Cruz
Definitely. Vaw's affinity attunement is going to just decrease the item's level by one. Other npc's will get some revisits to their interactions, and with the stockpiled PCA system that'll be introduced there'll be more PCA options available too.
Revisiting the spawn mechanics for Town npc's and might scrap them entirely in favor of just rotating out a few npc's. The remainder might just stay in town all the time.
Brayden Thomas
Fascinating, and are any new faces going to show up?

Will anything happen at some point?
Easton Peterson
I think I'll take Potions depending on how they work now. I doubt I can craft potions that work for the whole floor right off the bat can I?
John Adams
If I need a npc for a task that can't be covered by the others, then yes.
At the rate the update is coming, we should be back to our regularly scheduled skirmish tomorrow night.
Generally t he weaker the effect the longer the duration. There might be a potion that lasfs for a whole run, but id would have a near negligible effect. Like +1 Vision Range, or heal 1 per cleared room/floor.
Gavin Morgan
If able, could I get a list of characters names with the following details?
>Character name >Character Level pre-change >Extra Skill slots >Monster Skills acquired >Weapon Skills acquired >Zeni held on person >Miscellaneous 'lost' items or features

Rake is included in Fierce assault. Frenzy has been removed from the Ferox racial skills and placed elsewhere. Golden Fang title has been updated to be useable in the new system with limited inventory slots. Base armor is now explained through equipment.
Flyink Kick had been merged with Agile Strike. Restore is now Mend.
As for actual lost features and items, I'll be posting the replacement list in the morning.

Skills will be updated on the google doc later today. If you choose to list a weapon type, please mark a preference for one or two handed weapons for that type.

>Pick up to two open equipment slots or weapon types. I don't understand.
Landon Bailey
Of your open equipment slots for your character, choose one or two of them. Alternatively, you may choose one of the available weapon types in placee of an equipment slot.
Currently there are: Rupture, Burst, Blast, Trauma, Slash, Strike, Flexile, Shield, and Length.
Benjamin Perry
>Feet slot, because a dancer needs dancing shoes. >2 Weapon Types here.
What's a Trauma weapon?
What do my current weapons count as because I was thinking to pick one for both of those.
Hunter Fisher
Trauma weapons are blunt weapons. The easiest means to identify one is if it has Crush or some force effect as a trait. An easier means of identifying them is by reading their stat block as follows:
>Lv # Name [Type(s), Hand(s); Damage, Trait(s)]
Stella Fundati is a Shield, and the Grand-Blade is Slash.
John Reed
>Legs >Strike, 1h
And Focus, right?
Thomas Jenkins
>Torso >Shoulders
Logan Collins
Pane is gone but I figure you would want his equips at least.
Does the force resistance from the Bound Iron Armor set bonus and dauntless stance stack? And force resistance is resistance against effects such as push, pull, launch, bind, etc correct?
updated stat sheet
[G3] Nid =Normal= Speed [2](3-1) Health [6/6] Armor [2]() Shield [7] (1+1+2+3)
There are examples of the base weapons in the google doc. Flexile types are flexible, be it chain or cord based, and aside from whips they'll be crossed with other types. Rupture weapons have Bleed as a trait by default, and are primarily axes. They also can dismember the easiest too. Strike type weapons are weapons which use natural movements to attack, such as punching, kicking, or otherwise striking with a bodypart.
Sebastian Morgan
I think i got it right. >Gain a torso armor >Gain a strike weapon
Jonathan Mitchell
>gain a torso armor >gain a slash weapon
Xavier Murphy
Oh and also for the torso the preferance is medium armor you know like the scavenged armor. one handed sword
(does someone want my katars?)
Andrew Thompson
I'll take 'em if no one else does, use them as bits for improvin' my claw.
Julian Hughes
It's unlikely that adding the same weapon later on in a recipe will improve from previous states. If anything it has a chance of removing features or traits gained from other items.
One or two hand preference?
Jeremiah Foster
Ah, I have a plan Katar+katar, rapid focus=rapid2 Tiger claw+swift katar, rapid focus=rapid3 Yes, it will take time (PCAs) and money, but I think that's how the system works.
