A bit of offtopic - how do you do this black outline on handwritten labels?

I did it by hand for the first map.
This drove me /stark/ raving mad.

Now I use a photoshop filter by applying a [Stroke] effect to a basic 9 px brush.

Size 6, position outside, opacity 100, blend mode normal - [Stroke].

I toss in a [Drop Shadow] with an offset and a slightly lower opacity to make it pop a little more, but that's not neccessary.
