Seriously, other people are allowed to make a thread. Doesn't have to be the same two or three people.
LAZY GITS
Christopher Rodriguez
So what's your highest survival count, teeg? My retribution I haven't lost yet, and is at 4, but surprisingly it's a couple of my lightcruisers that have the best.
Juan Ward
>get the ability bug >"ok no problem I'll just auto-cast my way to victory" >camera forced plane view glitch kicks in a few minutes later
Brody Miller
>Innocent exile
Lol. You're trying too hard.
Anyway, I have an option to pick a light cruiser as Imperials, but I'm afraid of orkz just ramming my shit up. should i just go with light cruisers for now?
Aaron Taylor
I'm gonna ram you either way.
Grayson Fisher
at least have the courtesy of giving a reach around
Anthony Allen
Get behind them and ram them back. They don't like that much.
Christian Anderson
Did i just type light cruiser instead of CRUISER? fucking hell
time for bed
but that's orky and im no ork
Liam Rodriguez
No love for prow lances, eh? I guess I can't blame you. Torpram too good.
I'd consider giving the light cruisers AP rounds, though, their macrocannons actually start hurting things within 3km with those.
Luis Butler
Not ramming enemy ships as often as possible? That's chaos talk, son.
Luke Baker
Question, does the fifth skill for BB with the Mechanicus favor work now?
Also, if the tabletop game is getting revived, how does the Newcron fluff affect their movement(with them using the webway and all now).
Isaiah Edwards
If the Dolmen Gate fluff piece is any indication, Necron fleets would probably become slow as fuck, much like their ground-based armies.
I liked them better when they had inertialess drives.
Aaron Bell
I won a match today when I set everything to auto-cast and auto engage then went to make a sandwitch.
Juan Edwards
I've gotten ork cruisers to survive more than 80 battles. People either target the biggest or smallest ships, never in-between.
Austin James
>Cruiser clash vs AI Eldar >Ships to destroy: 5 >Not even a minute in >Suddenly hear odd explosion >Ships to destroy: 3
That and along with the fact they'll try to ram you with their cruisers. They should definitely fix the Eldar AI.
Adam Roberts
>Lol. You're trying too hard. Offer an alternative that fits with the scheme?
Adam Bell
...
Dominic Williams
>still don't have favors for all your ships
Yeesh. I've got a long way to go, haven't I?
Brayden Lopez
no one is being lazy you just didn't look very hard. This is now the 3rd BFG general up at the moment.
Mason Scott
This one is however not total shit, has an actual OP and a thread title.
Jayden Hughes
pretty sure newcrons still have the inertialess drive. Its mentioned in the necron imperial armour i think.
Camden Ortiz
I respecced my entire shippile.
Nicholas Fisher
>pre-order game
>get discount
>get freeLC space marine
>now im getting freeLC tau
damn, son
Juan Hughes
doing 2v2's, eldar+eldar vs imperium+imperium
things are going well up until my partner and I realize we cant use any of our abilities at all. No fix, hot keys dont work
how can they fuck this up so badly.
Ian Price
In an escort squadron, if one ship gets +1 LD upgrade does that apply too the whole squadron?
Nathaniel Cook
yes
Grayson Roberts
excellent. I can make my Pirate escort carriers only moderately shit instead of complete shit.
Henry Rodriguez
I want based electric superbikes in 40K instead of internal combustion bikes.
Thomas Evans
>tfw you totally obliterate some imperial players precious battleship by t-bone ramming it with the red button active while tractoring into your prow
Carson Anderson
>some imperial brings a retribution as attacker on assassination against a tzeentch light cruiser
ok
Nicholas Morris
does cloud/silent running work on assassination targets>?
Nicholas Baker
no, it's just imperial ship battleships will never catch that light cruiser.
Wyatt Baker
Eldar were a mistake.
Alexander Garcia
Does the camo upgrade work for Tzeentch's cloud?
Ethan Gonzalez
>imperial players
Jacob Harris
I haven't played the multiplayer enough to get to assassination missions, chill.
Blake Myers
im sick of fucking ork players
they are as bad as chaos players in the beta
anyway
>play game as chaos >go against ork dude #18328328432841 with a death deala >i have two light cruisers >kite him while i just use space craft against him >laugh as he chases me >get bored and warp away >"too slow"
Carson Clark
>Lose >Claim to be winning
Ryan White
>keep my ships >get XP >get renown
yea nah, successful mission was successful.
Jaxson Lopez
We get it, you're a bitch, the chaos gods took your balls when you turned. It's cool.
Dominic Hall
Is shit still really buggy?
Brandon Moore
Welcome to millennials. School taught them that nobody loses, even when there are specific win and lose conditions, but that might hurt someone's feelings.
People could just admit defeat and come up with a solution for next time, but that would require someone to admit fault, and nobody is wrong, everyone's ideas are good and valid regardless of their actual merit because telling someone they're wrong would hurt their feelings.
Ryder Cruz
The glorious post-modern age where whether or not something is correct or incorrect depends totally on whether or not somebody gets upset about it and actually reality doesn't factor in.
Brody Gray
When can I paint my fleet?
Easton Morris
yep
Adrian Green
How does in game chat work? I just played a bitchin game of Cruiser Clash against this guy and I'd like to say gg but no know how
Asher Walker
within the next couple months
Noah Wood
How will painting work with favours? Although the customisation would be sweet, it will make it alot less clear what favour each ship has
Christian Rivera
Just hit enter.
Thomas Garcia
>tfw i can't play bfg for 4-6 weeks because my laptop is being repaired Hold me, lads
Kevin Lopez
Take heart, you'll come back to space marines and new abilities.
Lincoln Flores
By the time you get it back they might have made Eldar slightly less exploitable by complete faggots.
Matthew Collins
Remember you only make a single orders Ld check for the whole squadron; not for each escort.
Elijah Torres
Show me on the doll where the pulsar touched you.
Justin Ortiz
right here, on the aft
Charles Taylor
He didn't even touch me.
After me and my teammate annihilated his ally (who he provided no help to as he got buttfucked) he just kept running away like a bitch until the game timer ended.
Asher Young
...
Colton Morgan
Of course, of course. But at some point you will have to let go of this coping mechanism you constructed and work through the problem, admiral. You know that as well as I.
Michael Rivera
>playing Orks >enjoying ramming things >usually do 2v2 to provide heavy duty hitting for whoever my ally is >get a game >IN and Orks vs Chaos and Eldar >game starts >see the Eldar coming at me >four ships >move Orks to engage, got two cruisers, one with Goffs and the other with Sunz >plan is simple, traktor tug and Goff ram >suddenly, pulsars take out Sunz ship in the blink of an eye, manage to tug and ram one of their ships to half health before it goes down >use Goff to try and plow through their fleet before pulsars take it down too >next match >Orks and Eldar vs IN and IN, convoy >we're attackers >its the Eldar player from last match >see what he had >one battlecruiser and three pulsar light cruisers >Hain favors, all of them >well...explains why I got fucked >game starts, Eldar player tells me he'll take out the IN >go after transports >less than two minutes, the IN ceases to exist as a fighting fleet >IN player mentions Eldar upgrades >all of his ships have 8 upgrades each.
I mean...it was fun to watch him wreck shop on someone else for a change...but 8 upgrades...like...what... That ship really makes me think Death Guard...
Ian Price
dunno. Simplest wouldnbe too just have an option too overide favour. Or have the favour only change the prow itself if they feel the need too always have it easily identified.
Luis Perez
I know. I just wasn't sure what happens when i purchase a squadron that has a collective LD and then give one ship in it a +1 LD upgrade.
On the subject of upgrades I'm tempted too make my rogue trader pirate flagship a Slaughter class with the engine upgrade for 35cm speed and 6D6 all ahead full absurdity.
Leo Myers
Necrons still have inertialess drives. However, they are near-light.
However, in combat Necron ships can go from zero to max speed in an instant. In Fall of Orpheus, the Newcron ships were too fast for the Imperial target scanner to pick up and they were running circles around the Imperial fleet.
I can upload the pages from the book, if you guys want. It should give you an idea how Newcron fleets fight.
Grayson Richardson
Sure thing, go ahead.
Andrew Cruz
They had one codex (written by Ward) mentioning the use of Dolmen Gates, and no mention of inertialess drives. It did mention a Necron pirate fleet however, which would make no sense without some kind of FTL.
Then Forgeworld out and stated that they use Inertialess drives in IA12.
Then the codex got updated, and all mentions of Dolmen Gates vanished. No mention of anything else, but that codex has barely any fluff at all in it.
Hudson Jones
>Then the codex got updated, and all mentions of Dolmen Gates vanished.
Actually, the 7th ED codex mentions a Dolmen Gate in one small blurp.
Starting.
James Butler
...
Colton Fisher
...
Jace Perry
>the 7th ED codex mentions a Dolmen Gate Really? Which page? I must have missed it then, but that book is so bereft of fluff it's a shorn-sheep.
Eli Peterson
...
Colton Gutierrez
necrons are such a pain in BFG, too
I almost wish they were the DLC fleet instead of the Tau, but all the tryhards would go straight to them.
William Davis
They'd require quite some work to get right as well, since fighting them basically reverses your normal logic.
Leo Phillips
In the "Awakening" section. The short fluff battle.
>Another strobing pulse of plasma fire tore across the Necron lines, ripping molten fragments from ranks of living metal warriors. Out in the azure haze, puppet-like wraithbone constructs and agile Eldar Guardians stalked toward the phalanx of Necron Warriors clustered around the flickering dolmen gate.
That's all of it.
What's your analysis of this space battle, Veeky Forums?
Nathan Thompson
>IN VS Chaos >Can't be bothered getting kited across the map. >Move to dust cloud >Chill out and fling torps >He gets in range, spots me with a sensor, >then just warps out.
Did I do something wrong?
John Gonzalez
I feel like Chaos players bail more than anyone else.
Chaos bros, pls stahp.
Nicholas Stewart
They are playing the Long War
Leo Parker
It's pretty easy to tell when youre going to win or lose as chaos
Luis Wright
Hmm, typical chaos dishonour then. I'll try camping more.
He got quite angry with me about it.
Samuel Anderson
I like it when fights go all the way to the end.
Had a great fight against chaos with both of us holding on by the skin of our teeth.
Cooper Ramirez
It takes all sorts to make a traitor legion. Personally I hang around until the end, but I play all-Slaanesh so I can't tell what's going to happen. I had a pretty hilarious stint against loyalists just yesterday, with the loss of a Dauntless triggering a mutiny on his Retributiom which took out the generator, allowing me to lance that little tart to exhaustion.
David Parker
It's not as bad as people say. Necron fleets would be balanced in the game.
Jeremiah Jenkins
>"In game" >Eldar remain broken as fuck and beyond balance. >Necrons will be fine boss, don't worry.
Dominic Flores
>I lose to elves all the time, pls nerf elves since I cba to get better
Jacob Martin
I fail to see in what ways the Necrons will be broken.
Gavin James
Things they had in the tabletop: >Weapons that auto hit everything within range >Their All Ahead Full manoeuvre boosts them across about half the map >Camo/invisibility fields that make it near impossible to hit them >Regenerating hull that makes it near impossible to hurt them >The ability to phase out and vanish from the battlefield
This was "balanced" by giving ridiculous bonus points to the enemy for even managing to hurt them a little: you could lose your whole fleet and win because you managed to sink a single ship. While this may have been balanced for win/loss rates, it wasn't fun at all for the opponent.
Ethan Gray
>meet a guy with exactly the same ships as me >there is prematch banter >he seems like a complete bro >duck, dip, dodge and weave towards him through swarms of torps, ready for an amazing fight, nothing like the constant chaos capitulations. >Map bug.
This game is suffering.
This is why Necrons as they were on the TT should not be in game. Eldar make for a boring enough fight even when you eventually win.
Jeremiah Thomas
Problem is Necron was made like their Fluff/lore said they have to be. And the team stopped after deploying armade or didnt know what to do with Necrons.
They are tabletop wise not balanced and intended to be eldar killers. But if you can kill Eldars, Imperials are easy too.
Hudson Sullivan
I fucking hate that kind of stupidity. If you don't want to fight, fine, pull away and warp out.
Jaxson Perry
I am starting to think the Mechanicus favour is a bit too good.
Bentley Lee
You sure about that?
Daniel Baker
Definitely. For once.
Ryan Cox
Depends whether you think lightning strikes are worthwhile. I put Space Marines on brawlers, Inquisition on support ships (i.e Mars and Gothic) and Mechanicus on everything else.
Dauntless-es with Mezoa pattern drives, extra lightning strike and extra shields with the space marine favour are tanky enough to soak up some damage and swoop in and out dishing out those lightning strikes.
Brody Wood
How does the spess muhreens play in the table and will it translate to the vidya?
Aiden Howard
Like this, and easily. Ork tier boarding, 75 armour all around, and very large frontal cannons.
Caleb Myers
theyre like orks with a focus on close range gunnery and boarding but high armour low HP and chaos speed.
Fluffwise they're minmaxed for planetary assaults at the expense of their capabilities in a straight up fleet engagement (its part of the post heresy dividing of military power thing)
Elijah Gomez
What can we expect from the SM? What should I upgrade first as IN? WTF is Alfred doing?
Landon Green
Pauldrons. On what? No one knows.
Jayden Sullivan
transport prows
Dylan Barnes
Finally got into multiplayer.
I find it very satisfying to bring a Tyrant and a cloud of swords into a 300 point cruiser game, pull silent running on the cruiser, park it in a cloud, lure the enemy in close with the Swords, and then come flying out in the cruiser at ramming speed with engine coolant behind a wave of torpedos.
