First for the Omnissiah

Anyone have any idea where the FAQ draft GW is supposed to release is? I'm pretty sure it's this week and i'm damn impatient

So is skies of death optional or nah?

And what about forge world models like tau barracuda?

As far as I am concerned it is optional.

If anyone asks I will tell them I haven't bought the New Phase DLC and am not interested in learning it till it is in the core rulebook.

All forgeworld models will eventually be updated with a category to fit the new phase.

Soon.

Am I retarded or is the Leman Russ Executioner a complete waste of time? It's only benefit over the battle cannon is a slight point decrease and the option to snap fire at flyers while being shittier in every other way imaginable. Plus if you wanted you really needed that extra AA you could just buy a hydra for less points.
The only use I could ever see it in would be at extremely low point games where your opponent may or may not bring a single flyer, and you also don't happen to own any fortifications with Icarus guns.

I honestly can't believe it's actually happening. At this point I assumed it had gone the way of half life 3.

Agreed. Even the psychic phase is pushing it imo.

New ork flyer is 140 points. Is that true?
Are the rules gonna be a WD exclusive or from the skies of death book?

Can you smell the gifts too? Christmas has come early.

>we will never have Bald Raven, the spiritual successor to Space Marine, detailing Boreale's noble fight in the Kaurava system

They will most likely post the link on their Facebook page when it will be released

And that there is a crime against nature.

>140-point AV10 unit

Codex: Orks 7th Edition Update (2016)

user yesterday asked for where this was being worked on: my office. I have no webspace. I'll release around the net when progress is made.

Here's the BattleScribe link; it opens in the Catalogue Editor on the Desktop version. Until it gets a permanent online repository, it'll be this or the PDF.

To do:

Change Flash Gitz/Snazzguns tp distinguish from Lootas

I think its 12-10-10 and has its KFF for a 5+(?)

The Honorable Blood Ravens are assaulting a Tau world (with no mention of Diomedes, Gabe or Hairgel in the game) when Chaos Marines attack both sides. The attack is a screening action which allows an Ork WAAAAGH to land, sowing general mayhem. The entire kerfuffle is revealed to be Eldar Trickery, who are attempting to weaken all the factions in a grand melee so they can swoop in and kill the survivors so they can do a geological survey in peace.

No base building, copy-paste maps, close combat units are as shit in-game as they are on the table, Eldar have a natural 25% faster running speed and don't have accuracy penalties while moving, and Tau can take Crises from game start to supplement their riptides and Broadsides. The campaigns are Space marines who ally with the tau a third of the way in, Chaos who ally with Orks a third of the way through, and Eldar.

Look into your heart, know it to be true.

More like a Hannukah, because you know youll need a half dozen of them to equal a real christmas present.

Kff is 30 points fot 5++ for all within 6" friend or foe.

>No base building

this is a good thing tho, then the gameplay can focus on micro & actually fighting

SC2 has the maxed out micro/macro RTS down pretty hard

Anyone have any advice for fielding a Baneblade variant? They all seem fairly powerful, but I'm still super new to actually playing 40k

Shut up, Nurgle. Shut up and go back to abusing your "wife".
I'm fine with either holiday.

Magnetize that shit. Make every variant you feel like making.

What do you want to kill? This is important. Tankhunter? Lawnmower against Marines? General Purpose? They each have their uses. As the namefag says, magnetise and find what suits you.

Honestly, BEHNBLEDS arent an optimal choice at all, Knights are almost as good for way cheaper and Warhounds are another half again as expensive for three times the firepower. However, they ARE cool as hell, and can be really good. Tactically, just prevent any melta from getting within range through the use of cheap troops and shoot your preferred target.

>super new to actually playing 40k
>"Better get this super heavy"

baneblades look cool, senpai

Welcome to modern 40k. A guy no-one had seen before walked into the store and bought out practically the entire eldar section, including three wraith boxes, two jetbike boxes and a Knight. As it is, a baneblade is a fine thing to base an eventual list around, and the model is great, so let him have his fun

it looks super cool mang

I got it because it looked cool, I did it for painting and not for a game.

Never tried magnetising, probably a good thing to do. Cheers.

I've heard they aren't super optimal. My current line up has plenty of AT so I might go for lawnmower approach.

Nothing wrong with a non-basebuilder. Personally I feel they should either do no basebuilding, and go full-on Men of War Assault Squad, or go full on super-large maps where constructing a base means building a minor city, like in Supreme Commander.

That said, this is Relic. Your going to see some medium-sized bases that take up about 10% of the map per-side.

Eldar overpowered? In a warhammer 40k game? Surely you jest! I mean, they've been so well balanced in DOW, DOW II, BFG Armada, and the 7E Tabletop. So why in the world would they suddenly be overpowered now? :P

>well balanced in DOW, DOW II, BFG Armada, and the 7E Tabletop.
this is an excellent point, how come nobody can ever get eldar right?

is it because of the big risk vs reward on most units? Is it because of the lore?

Look up the Stormlord, its basically got a heavy 15 s6 AP3 weapon it can fire twice if it doesnt move, as well as pseudo-open topped with 40 transport, of which 20 can fire out the hatch. Use it either for shielding a bunch of heavy weapons with good range, or as the mother of all assault vehicles.

Because someone is an Eldar lover at Relic.

>tfw no fliers or lord of wars in any of my lists up to 2500
>Fliers are actually my achilles heel and I don't want to use the anti air version of my fliers

that's literally in the fucking mega user

Well, shit. I didn't notice its transport ability before. That makes it even better.

Only one of you needs the book, but I''m glad that you're willing to give it a try first instead of dismissing it based on summaries and translations.

>responding to someone in the archives like they are here
>retards helping retards

mmmh does a super heavy transport allow it's passengers to fire at full BS even if they moved ?

>170-point AV12/10/10 unit

That is what I am saying, between my two armies (combined a bit over 6000points) I only have two fliers and they are transports. So if they have the book and I am not bringing fliers they can go for it but I am not going to learn all new rules for my two shitty fliers just because I am going against someone that bought the book.

Not as far as i can tell, they seem to follow regular rules but feel free to correct me-the only time i ever played against a Superheavy Transport it was the Magma Cannon baneblade and it just turtled up in one corner of the board with conscripts wrapping it with a bunch of lascannon teams sitting inside it, not moving.

You don't have to buy the KFF
I'm mainly getting the craft so i can loot its guns.
2 kmk, 1 smasha gun and 2 of whatever you can do with the mega tellyporta guns.

yeah just had a look at my rulebook can't seem to find an exemption neither

It is my dearest wish that DoW3 takes place in Borealum.

The Executioner is the plasma one.
You meant the Exterminator, right?

>tfw my group has just reached 3k points, and no one fields less than 2 super heavies in their lists, some even field up to 8
>tfw they also refuse lower point games because they are boring

I just bought a Tau'nar, and while the model is fucking A, i feel like I'd rather move, just to get myself a different group that isn't SUPER HEAVIES EVERYWHERE, WOOO! WHERE ARE YOUR SUPER HEAVIES, YOU CAN FIELD 3 IN ONE SLOT, GOGOGOGOGO!

I think it has to do with the fact that most Eldar Units are super specialized. So an Eldar Tank Destroyer is excellent at hunting tanks but crap at anything else, why an IG tank destroyer can kill tanks but also has some anti-infantry capability.

The problem being that, as a player, you'll always seek to use your units optimally by using them for their intended purpose. So both the Eldar Fire Prism and the Vindicator will be spending all their time fighting tanks, rendering any anti-infantry capabilities irrelevant.

Also, they're fast as fuck so the specialist units are always where they need to be.

If I wanted dawn of SQUAD COMMAND, I'd play something shitty on my phone.
I want dawn of WAR.
Base building or not, if the scale is too small the game will flop.

Should I ignore Chimeras altogether if I have a stormlord?

Yeah it's a great kit, and I love the idea of a flying mek giving my speed kult invulnerable saves.
But holy shit the ork fliers are already overcosted, it's pretty common opinion. They had a chance to price the new flyer reasonably but they fucked it.

This is some seriously overlooked shit by GW. SHVs always count as stationary for their own shooting, but it says nothing about embarked models. It also directly implies there are different rules for SHTs:

“SUPER-HEAVY
Super-heavy Walkers are Super-heavy vehicles and use the Super-heavy vehicle rules for Shooting, Vehicle Damage, Catastrophic Damage and Transports.”

It's reasonably priced in relation ro other Ork fliers.
If they dumped it they'd effectively kill the other variants.

Have you tried Men of War: Assault Squad?

Try it. It's Armor Penetration Mechanics are crazy detailed, the destructible terrain is better than Battlefields and allows for some serious lateral thinking, and the logistics system makes fielding those wunderwaffen a serious challenge.

>I think it has to do with the fact that most Eldar Units are super specialized.

When people talk about Eldar being specialized they are talking about Aspect Warriors, which are the best balanced part of the book. It's Ghost Warriors being both unkillable and D strength that's the problem, as well as Jetbikes jinking around with massed S6 shooting.

Aspects being good at one thing, while being fragile is what keeps them balanced.

Are there any different rules for running a Fallen Angel army vs. Dark Angels. I remember seeing somewhere they get hatred: Space Marines but I can't find anything on it.

Not to mention Jetbikes having space marine saves for no reason and being priced better than ever other bike for its utility.

Cypher has a database with a fallen formation

Unless you intend to carry your everything on the stormlord, no. Chimeras are ObSec, can carry decent weapons and make decent distractions.

Cyber and The Fallen formation in the Cypher dataslate.

The Fallen are just Chaos Chosen without access to Chaos Aretefacts, Marks, etc.

But they do get Infiltrate and ATSKNF (if near Cypher)

Can Monsterous Creatures, or other units that can fire 2 or more weapons in their shooting phase, fire two+ weapons in overwatch?

youtu.be/N_ZgyNoHtjw
CONFIRMED

That sounds horrible but really dude if you caved in and bought that Tau'nar shit you're no better than they are. You're feeding the furnace when you should try to request more normal games

Walkers can, and i'm fairly certain Monsters can do it as well. i've always seen it done so it may just be some globally accepted house-rule or something in an Faq

No Tau.

A 3+ is not why Jetbikes are OP. They've had a 3+ since time immemorial. It's scatlasers on everybike taken in groups of 3 that are sickeningly efficient.

yes

Well, that's that I guess
Now we wait a few months for actually useful information.

So, confirmed Orks, Eldar and Space Marines
I hope they confirm some more races too

GW only cares about balancing new kits when it comes to orks, apparently.

youtube.com/watch?v=N_ZgyNoHtjw

Well, at least it looks like they've got some cutscene budget now

Haha those knights and WKs. So realistic what happens in real game. 2 knights charge WK, WK D-slaps one to death and the other knight gives WK good'ol Imperial D'kkings.

Oh lawd I'm so hyped like a 4yo at christmas.

Good.

Is the Abbadon formation from Black Legion a good ally for Necrons looking for some more melee punch? I've never touched Chaos before, but I understand Abbadon and his bodyguard to be right shitkickers.

DoW 3 confirmed to have base building

BASE BUILDING IS IN, GUYS.

>>Pile of Corpses.
Not just any pile of corpses.
That's definitely the Skull Throne.

>tfw no IG in DoW 3

Could this mean Necrons

by fucking dick

This. I'm guessing that the chapter will be on the verge of being wiped out in the new game. Not sure how that'll work with bigger battles/massive casualties.

Thats what I was thinking as well, but my opponent pointed out it says "can fire up to two weapons in the Shooting Phase". Since Overwatch happens in the assault phase, is there any ruling elsewhere that elaborates on it?

> Three factions
No.

>With war raging and the planet under siege by the armies of greedy Ork warlord Gorgutz, ambitious Eldar seer Macha, and mighty Space Marine commander Gabriel Angelos, supremacy must ultimately be suspended for survival.

Barracuda is OOP. Think they'll update the rules on that one? It's by far the best Tau flyer.

>mfw it's raining Orks
>mfw KNIGHTS
The hype is trying to overtake me. Sort of disappointed that it's marines, Eldar, and Orks again but Orks are everywhere. As for the Eldar Macha must be a total Blood Ravenboo.

There's a lot of rules like that. ITC and most other tournament-style FAQs allow you to shoot them in overwatch as well, but it isn't official.

I might be a slowpoke, but has 40KG seen this?
totellstories.com/40k/

>catastrophic weapon is found on acheron
Gee, I sure do wonder who would leave a giant super weapon lying around. Certainly it couldn't be the race who leaves super weapons lying around all over the place.

OG DoW crew, buddy. Of course they'd be there.

Chances are chaos will show up again too.

It's all of the above on a Core/Obsec troop choice.

Tyranids most likely
