Watch it now or your a heretic !

On a side note, more Blood Ravens. Honestly with the amount of them dying how the hell are they not extinct !?

AH SHIET

Also, is it bad I consider the quote at the beginning a good omen because it means the universe won't end in our lifetimes? Have I been playing 40k too long?

The wraithbone is more...bony than usual. I guess it makes it more alien and less plastic-looking.

This looks promising.

>No gameplay.

IMPERIAL KNIGHTS. FIGHTING WRAITHLORDS. HOLY EMPEROR LET THIS ONE BE GOOD.

More info

Apparently campaign features Macha, Gorgutz and Gabriel Angelos, meaning he survived charging Kyras at the end of Retribution

Jesus the Imperium just getting fucked and cucked every turn in that trailer. Also, is it just me or do the Banshees/their tower look hella infected by something?

It's an announcement trailer, what do you expect?

Looking like Dawn of Eldar 3

In the SM ending of Retribution he goes on to be Chapter Master.

...

that was surprisingly abstract

w-wtf is that

OH SHIT MOTHAFOCKAAA!

eww

pre-alpha.

SPESS MEHREENS

>dawnofwar.com/
Seeing as the Blood Raven ending had him rebuilt and chosen as the new chapter master while none of the others confirmed or denied his survival (but I doubt that the Chaos or Tyranids, for example, would have helped patch him up) does this mean that the Blood Raven ending is canon?

> large scale battles on land or with battlebarges in spehs
>My penis

where did you get that picture from though?

I thought it's already set that the blood raven ending is canon?

I swear to god if they don't put striking scorpions in this game...

Most liekly

Eliphas is dead then.

Heretical cloning technology? I mean they've broken every other law of the Imperium, why not that one.

If the trailer is anything to go by, that may very well happen soon. Never saw marines taking so many losses and the high point for them is a 2v1 knights vs elves where one of them dies in one hit and the other kills a marine too.

That said, the trailer seem to imply more small scale skirmishes like DoW2, not sure if want.

Wouldn't be the first time.

Repainted GoW2 huh?

Because corax did it already

Do you not know how marines replenish their numbers after extreme losses or something?

BRING ARAGHAST BACK!

DoW*

thx. doesn't look as bad as I thought for a pre alpha

>big armies back
>base building back
>somehow DoW 2

I just love how the DoW2 fags are on suicide watch, because we get base building back.
best day this week by far.

Where are these things stated? Don't play with my feelings user.

pcgamer article

If Abbadon can get away with failing 13 Black Crusades, then Eliphas can come back after getting knocked around a few times.

also this

Those were a bit small for wraithlords.

The great armless one didn't usually die during his Black Crusades either.

Use the catalogue, son, there's two of these threads up already.

I'm getting a bit tired of seeing banshees everywhere and would like some striking scorpions

new look for the wraithbone certainly looks neat though. Actually looks alien

>every Imperial soldier dies like a chump
>except big mecha knight
>Imperial Knight Paladin doesn't waver before might of xenos!
>$140 buy now at games-workshop.com
Trailer looked like shit btw

Ah, correction, wraithKNIGHTS, not lords. My bad, was to excited to distinguish.

>change the lore to make Scorpions with boobies possible
>forget about it when making the game

>post yfw chaos are a pre order bonus
>post yfw other races are all dlc

I'd happily pay for Dark Eldar dlc with all the updated models

>tfw wraithbone is now directly emulating/ripping off Beksinski's art

I never gave two shits about Eldar before but holy fuck that might have just changed

>search "trailer"
>only this one shows up
>navigate the catalogue
>only thread is old and has gone past bump limit

Where?

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT SEGA

I'LL PAY YOU FOR THIS

I'LL PAY FOR ALL THE DLCS AND CONTENT PACKS AND JUST ALLOW YOU TO LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY RAPE ME LIKE A LITTLE LOLI BITCH

I'M THAT MUCH OF A CONDITIONED LAB RAT FOR DOW

DON'T JUDGE ME

Also dayum this is actually the single most awesome game trailer I've seen in awhile

Because at this point they're all just Alpha Legion Operatives

I quite like it to be honest.

>refuse to buy DLC for games
>already know I'm going to buy every DLC, character, weapon, character skin and fucking soundtrack to this

Why do you do this to me Relic

>Chaos actually won on Kaurava
>Alpha Legion slowly replaced all the Blood Ravens, leading to Chaos Rising

so business as usual then. cool.

Same here, battle-brother. Same here. I usually straight out refuse to buy games at all, keeping to piracy and f2p. But DoW is special for me. It will always be special.

>implying they didn't just receive a few battlebothers as...gifts.

i don't really know why people are so opposed to DLC. it's mostly the expansions of old in smaller cheaper chunks.

DLC is okay, if it's something that either upgrades the game (like an actual expansion, like The Witcher 3 did) or is something that isn't necessary for the core game.
But if you go down the Total Warhammer route and turn major factions like Chaos into DLC, that's a load of groxshit

is that tartaros I see?

How is that different from Other races being Expansion Pack?

>post yfw Chaos is a DLC skin for Space Marines

It's going to be shit and you all know it.
The moment it comes out you people won't stop bitching about how awful it is and how DoW2 was better.

>post yfw IG gets cucked until next expansion or some DLC

>i don't really know why people are so opposed to DLC
It's because games used to release complete without them and it worked fine. Now publishers use DLC as an excuse for incomplete games and making us pay about double the initial (already inflated) cost for the same stuff.

We know from the media's past that they can survive alright without that kind of practice, so it's nothing but endless greed justified in the vein of capitalism, at our cost. If publishers feel they are morally justified to "just make more money", I feel morally justified to give them the finger and pirate their shit.

Only the ones that come from /v/ or are /v/ inside their hearts.

Of course! We all know that. But it still means we are gonna buy it and play it like brainwashed little bitches we are. Play it and bitch about it on forums.

>muh capitalism
Tell me about all those great socialistic video games.

Exp packs, data discs and mission packs have always been a thing, now if anything you get more content and support that way, plus in this day and age you can just wait and get everything you want for a fraction of the cost, most DLCs end up costing less than a coffee in switzerland.

I honestly don't give a shit if this is loaded in DLC the fact that this game is even coming out rather than being forgotten is a blessing from the emperor.

Did I miss anything?
Not that I mind, Beksinski is great.

I am not happy about the whole "bringing back DoW 1 style basebuilding."
That shit was boring as fuck, and when each race has their own, unique and interesting ways of bringing warriors to the battlefield, just doing DoW 1 style basebuilding bs reeks of lack of effort and imagination.

DLC is a smaller, more compact amount of content. While that's fine if it's priced as such, too often does DLC fall into the category of something tiny and insignificant being sold for a high price. For example, model updates and cosmetics that are either too expensive or too numerous, making it feel like you're getting nickle and dimed for things. In this case, smaller DLC can be packed together and sold and continue to have periodic sales if the original price point isn't competitive.

Expansion packs tended to have more content, not just in gameplay, but also in core and minor updates that significantly change the behavior of the game. An example I like to use is D2: Lord of Destruction. If you were to chop up LoD into DLC, you'd have:

Two DLCs for each new class.
A DLC for runes, runewords, and jewels.
DLC for the extended list of unique and set items.
DLC for Act 5.

On top of this, you'd have a product update that attempts to implement these on top of normal D2, at best causing high variance in gameplay between DLC owners and nons, and at worst causing outright incompatibility between everyone since people who don't own DLC have to be taken into account as well.

In that regard, sometimes it would be best if a company just put all the detail lesser DLCs add into the major gameplay DLCs and sold them as a more expensive but complete package (Especially looking at you Paradox -- You might provide lots of free content to games, but most of it tends to break the base game without having the DLC to back it up, forcing people to either buy all of it or play on the retail client).

>I don't like it if a company charges me twice or even thrice for stuff that should be in the game already
>Muh socialism is worse!!1!!1!!111!!1!!!1!!1

I think you're missing the point.

>no Chaos
>If there is Chaos Slaanesh will be just cast aside other than noize muhreens to keep DoW III PG13

FFUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARKKKKKKK

WHERES MY KEEPER OF SECRETS AND MY DEFILER WITH A DILDO SWORD

Neat. Thought the Eldar looked familiar.

Still think that thing the bodies are being piled on looks like a Tyranid construct.

I agree, it looks fucking awesome. Never thought I'd see BeksiƄski inspired art in a Dawn of War game.

Today is a good day brothers.

...

I'd rather call in troops from offmap, leave building fortifications to actual fortifications and not troop barracks and other mundane things.

>Macha is back

I can't tell if that was originally a space marine or a sister of battle

doesnt matter i suppose because now its both

And even then it'll be something memetic like Black legion or god forbid Alpha legion

as usual, which is a damn shame
I want fucking BEEEEEEEHHHHNBLEEEEEYYYYYDSSSS

Agreed.
And factions like the Eldar/Dark Eldar, and to lesser extent, Spesh Muhreens, shouldn't really construct anything at all.

Well, considering that Soviet socialism, despite all the flaws, managed to provide a bretty sweet culture of literature, art, cinema and theater, I think it could pull off nice vidya if it was still around.

But that is rather irrelevant, as I compared the modern model to the earlier capitalistic one. We've seen (and still see) that publishers can survive and make profit without the rampant DLCs, so it's not like they ABSOLUTELY NEED IT - they just consciously choose to fuck us a little harder.

Save'd

True.

>Exp packs, data discs and mission packs have always been a thing
Not really.

>most DLCs end up costing less than a coffee in switzerland
Imagine what they end up costing here in Russia. Regional price policy kinda works, except not really.

>blood magpies, again
>Biel-Tan, again
>Evul Sunz, again

Fucking dropped.

No, instead you tell me why video games in an alternative economic modell would be better. And while you are at it, tell me if the developers of DoW3 read Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations" and thus came to the conclusion that they should jew the fuck out of everyone.

Greedy and stupid developers are greedy and stupid, not because some abstract economic modell tells them to do it. Stop blaming it on fucking capitalism, blame the developers. You already named the solution to this problem: don't buy, pirate. Or blame the consumers. Hell, even I bought dlc's that I feel a bit ashamed of. Because at this time I thought for some reason they would be worth the money. But things like this were always in place, like some other user pointed out that you didn't reply to. There are also great dlc's out there.

It's a pretty widespread practice and video games are specific products.
If the practice works and they get more money, that's what they'll do.
Just because something is happening and 'muh capitalism' doesn't mean it's the best outcome for a consumer.

>People actually talking about Socialism on a 40k game

Fucking Tau queers.

>filename
I lost it hard.

Im missing the joke here, is she virgin? And so what?

>not really

Quake was choked full of them and many games had an exp pack coming later in their lifetime

...

SUDDENLY KNIGHTS!
